Had to replace my oak stairs because of 20 years of having dogs. I guess I am to partially blame for not directly asking how they would install the new treads and risers. They left the old risers on and installed new risers over. This meant there wasnt a nice seam on the edge like there should be. They had to install trim pieces on the sides to cover. For what was paid I would have thought the old risers would have been removed. The stairs turned out nice but not as nice as I would have liked.
