The store is misleading consumers with the suggested pricing. The manufacturers SUGGESTED retail price is $100. It is NOT $459. The manager told me that suggested means msrp. When I told him the msrp is $100 he then told me it is the average secondary market price. As far as I am concerned you can sell liquor for whatever you want but suggesting that it is the msrp is misleading and wrong. Look for a retailer with fair pricing which is not here.

Large selection, good prices, knowledgeable staff, clean and friendly customer service. They had a wine tasting seminar in progress with quite a few in attendance. I was too late to join in...reserve in advance.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Jason has helped me numerous times and always with a smile and politeness. He took down my name and number and is locating a certain bottle of wine for me. Also, the gentleman that made my basket for a fundraiser was very nice too!

The white man at the register, possibly the owner, was very rude. After simply asking him a few questions about an item we’d purchased, he became defensive and instead of answering our questions in a calm and helpful manner he repeated he would not refund us. We never asked for a refund, we were simply asking questions so we could be better informed for future purchases. We will not be returning. For the high prices, you’d expect friendly services.

Was in the area and needed to pick up some liquor. Decided to give this place a shot and I dont regret it. Top notch experience from the get go. Not sure what the gentlemans name is who helped me, but all the wines he picked out were phenomenal. Will be returning in the near future!

A liquor store is a liquor store. But the service here cant be beat for someone whos not sure what they want. Theres a tremendous selection of wines and a taste testing is almost always going on. Add to that cheese and crackers and you have a One-Stop destination for a fancy dinner at home. There is so much to know about wine but somebody on the staff is always there to help you and they really seem to know what theyre doing. Plenty of discount places to choose from out there but this place is definitely worth the effort to explore and enjoy.

All of the sales people are customer service oriented - this is why I shop there. I buy cigars there mostly. The cigar selection is not robust but it is adequate. They carry the usual casual smoker brands and sizes but they also carry a decent selection of more hearty, fuller bodied cigars for the cigar lover. Their prices are better than all other local cigar stores.I did notice that the cigars are a little on the dry side. I will bring that up with the cigar manager.

Large store with:--excellent wine selection--really good beer selection--GREAT cheese selection (best Ive seen at ANY package store)--upscale feel (wood accents throughout)--helpful and knowledgeable staff--nice cigar selection (considering its a package store)--nice glassware selection--some high-end Scotches--slightly better than average spirits selection (rum, vodka, and the like)These observations are based on the size and caliber store it is; not hole-in-the-wall package store, but its also not a mega-mart.I didnt take a star off for this, but the two things Im going to say I noticed was missing were beverage ratings (such as Wine Spectator scoring for the wines, Beer Advocate scoring for the beers, and similar scoring for the whiskeys) and staff picks. The beverage ratings and staff picks are both tremendously useful tools when exploring new brands or flavors.Bottom line: Would I go to Maximum Beverage again? Absolutely.

Ohhhhh, they are even able to place orders! I asked them about my favorite Blufeld Riesling and he informed he could order a case for me! Great selection!

Just moved to town and this is definitely my go-to spot. Great prices compared to the surrounding competitors and it looks beautiful inside. Staff is all very friendly and willing to help you find something. I wouldnt go anywhere else in West Hartford.

Smug attitudes abound in this well lit, well stocked location. cheese is absolutely worth avoiding with better options within one block. They make it an awkward experience if you are seeking a limited beer. Much better options in town!

THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW & IM NOT A FAMILY MEMBER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT THAT SELF RATED IN ORDER TO BOOST ITS OWN Rating ( which has been on other social media outlets, such as Facebook!)  After several years of patronizing Maximum Beverages in Farmington & West Hartford to achieve my 77 bottles of wines for my cellar; which mostly consist of purchases made at this business.  I was told by the owner, Brian D. Whitney to get out and dont come back, because you dont buy anything here.  I now know why Ive met 2 other patrons at this business that informed me they wont ever shop here again!  Theres more to this than just rude and unappreciative business acumen.  Theres CERTAINLY a racial biased element to this treatment because of Brian D. Whitneys history of telling his minorities customers, such as Jews, Black & Asian the same phrase.  Im beyond thrilled to stock & restock my wine cellar with a classier and non- racially biased wine/liquor /spirit from other reputable establishments in the area.  I will certainly inform my families, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, colleagues & yogis & potential shoppers my encountered experiences!
