Great local sports shop. Selection is good for a variety of different sporting needs and the staff is very polite and helpful. Dont miss the downstairs area when you visit, as its easy to overlook! Good selection of used equipment as well for those on a tight budget.

This is a great place to find both new, and used sports equipment. Probably more of an emphasis on the used equipment. Staff is friendly, pricing is fair, and theres usually a huge selection of whatever youre looking for new and used. Its not the cleanest neatest store, but youll pretty much find whatever you need here.

I went to Play It Again Sports a few times this week to get ski equipment and ice skates for my family. The first day I went in alone just to gather information before dragging the kids in. The employees were so welcoming and helpful. They answered my questions and fitted me for a ski helmet and goggles. I was pleased with their knowledge. I went back a few days later to lease skis for my kids. The place was packed! I love seeing that. Again, the employees jumped right in to help us. It took close to an hour to fit the kids, but it was all smooth. The process was easy and the price was very fair. Unfortunately they didn’t have anything in my size so I had to go to a different ski shop. I can say after doing that, that the employees of Play It Again Sports knew just as much as the people at the ski shop. I recommend this store. Be patient if they are busy, because they can help you find great equipment at a great price.

I have been searching for a bike for a few weeks and they are sold out everywhere. I called Play it Again Sports to check on availability. They did not have any bikes available but the costumer service was fantastic! He pointed me in the right and gave me advice knowing I was not going to be purchasing a bike through them at this moment because they are sold out. I haven’t had such sincere retail customer service in a very long time. Thank you! You are great!

New owners are very nice. Helpful and friendly workers. Good prices across the board and can find some used items at excellent prices. Great for when I’ve needed to buy items I know kids will outgrow in 1 season like ski boots etc.

Oh my word, if you need a gift or fitness distraction right now, I can’t recommend our locally-owned Play it Again Sports enough! I sent them a message via Facebook them last week to see if they had new kids’ tennis racquets for a dear friend’s quarantined 7th birthday. The husband-wife team responded immediately, stopped at the store to take a photo of what they had, took my credit card via phone, and delivered it kindly to our friends’ door the next day they were open. This business is truly going the extra mile.

Play it again sports in West Hartford Center is a fantastic place for families to shop for sports equipment. You can find just about anything that your children may need. I purchased hockey skates for my kids 2 years in a row. Found the perfect fit and the price was amazing. Staff was very helpful in fitting my kids. If you have ever tried to fit a young child for hockey skates you know its not an easy thing to do. They were patient and courteous and made sure we have the perfect skates for our kids. We could not be happier. I would Highly recommend play it again sport in west hartford center. AA++

Was there today to outfit my daughter for field hockey. The clerk, Ryan, was fabulous. He spent at least 20 minutes finding the perfect sizes and fits, and even dug through everything to make sure everything was her favorite color. They had everything we needed at great prices; would definitely recommend!

They seem to have everything. I always check play it again sports before I buy any gear on amazon. This place is awesome. got floatation vests, golf shoes, golf balls, and tennis gear and it was crazy cheap.

Thought I would try shopping local - went in there with my kids looking for soccer equipment and it is rather overwhelming with stuff everywhere - an employee pointed somewhere in the back of the store (didn’t show us) we went and looked and couldn’t find it so we just left and I am buying cleats online and will go to Vincent’s in simsbury where the employees are very helpful. Can’t deal with a store who won’t help you find things no time for that.

Always worth a look before spending money on new stuff. Buying previously loved equipment is easier on the wallet, and helps keep stuff out of the landfill.

Brought in an virtually brand new kids snowboard with bindings and they offer ridiculously low trade in amounts. I understand trying to make a profit but they will turn around and mark it up 3-400%. Aside from that there is so much stuff just laying around the store makes you feel claustrophobic.

Horrible place. Ruined our vacation! I rented ski boots there. Picked them up after they adjusted the skis. We went on a vacation and unfortunately figured out that I could not put on the pair of boots. I went back to return the boots, they said it was not their problem.My reply to the owner’s—We rented our gear on November 21st at 3:58 pm. I tried them on and they fit. We had to leave the boots there for injustment. I didn’t try again after we picked them up from another place until we went to the ski resort on December 23rd. I tried hard but they didn’t fit at all. We went back after the vacation on December 29th. The owner told us it was not their problem. We couldn’t return. They could do us a “favor” to exchange.

Went to the store looking for a ski helmet. The prices seemed high. So I googled the helmets. The prices are higher then buying a new helmet. I said the prices are higher then buying new to a sales person and he said that the price is high because it is more for when you need a helmet for last minute. I will never step foot in the store again. Do not waste your time buy new instead.

I drove an hour+ to get there and sold most of what I brought in under ten minutes. Aaron was friendly, helpful, honest, and fair...excellent customer service! The whole experience was pleasant, quick, and well-worth the trip.

I called up for information about selling lacrosse equipment, the person who picked up was very polite and told me what it was worth very honestly and that I can look elsewhere to sell. I really appreciated the honesty and look forward to going to the store location to get hockey and more lacrosse gear.

Although their website says they take ski helmets, they do not. Brought three helmets there and they said they dont take them as its a liability. Also, do not bring your old skis there unless they have new bindings. They will not take skis with older bindings due to liability reasons. Really frustrating to haul all of this stuff there and then find out that the website does not give the true story. They did take old ski and snowboard boots but not the snowboard that I brought because they had too many. If anyone knows of a better store, please leave a comment.

Store staff, helpful and pleasant, however they openly complained about ownership. Saying her focus was not at all customer centered. Store then is price driven not customer driven.

Years ago I had my golf clubs stolen from my apartment and the person sold them to play it again sports, thanks to the West Hartford police I got all my clubs back except my putter which was from Scotland and my golf balls, they sold my putter and did nothing to help me get it back, and offered me used golf balls I feel they owe me $100.00 for my lost property, but they did not care. This place is nothing but a front for stolen goods. Since its been so many years since this happened. I dont expect restitution, but if this post keeps people from giving them business then it was well worth it

Sold me boots that did not fit.Last year, 2014, I went to Play it Again Sports to get some ski equipment. I had no experience before with ski boots, so she fit me with a $200+ pair of Rossignol Alias size 27.5. Today, 2015, I just went to a professional boot fitter, over at Alpine Haus, and he fit me for a 25.5. I skied an entire season on boots that were not even close to fitting me. At the tightest settings my foot would not respond to any of my turns.I told the woman who was working that I hadnt skied before but I would pick it up quickly (which I did), so please provide gear for an intermediate/advance skier. She sold me some of the worst quality (old) solomon X-wing skis that all but fell apart after one season.My recommendation would be to never buy anything for more than $100 here. Otherwise, commit to buying gear in a shop or online. And never buy boots here, you will end up hurting yourself because they obviously do not know size/sell boots.

I do not know how they stay in business with such poor customer service. I tried to switch a putter from one youth golf set to another because it was just like the one my son was used to. Insisted the owner insisted that it was worth more than it was and I ended up leaving empty handed. This was not the first time I had the experience with the owner in this manner. I primarily now use this place to gather research on what stuff is perceived to be worth before buying on ebay and craigslist.

Literally the worst service Ive ever received... Ive been in this place twice and both times I have been treated horribly. The staff is rude and complained about his boss to me. Which is unprofessional. When I called the store they told me they were open till 5 and when I showed up they locked the door and refused to help me. I wont be buying anything else from them and I will be returning what i originally bought.

The owner isnt very friendly. I tried to trade in hockey gloves to get another pair and she was extremely rude with her offer I was not impressed If you dont mind picking through some worn out stuff you might find a deal.

Not worth the trip. Lots of junk and over priced equipment. Their used stuff costs about the same as new stuff on sale. I ended up buy wrong product because it was miss labeled.
