This is one of my favorite pawn shops I’ve ever been to. The collection is so eclectic and exciting to dig through. I’ve found some excellent pieces here.Elliott & David are also awesome guys. Great energy and some seriously epic stories.

I have known Elliot Salter for years. His shop contains the best inventory of fine goods, amazing jewelry, musical instruments and off beat items to boot. Its a treasure trove of fine goods at a steal. He is wonderful and the people who work with him are to. They treat you like family. I urge you to stop in.

Ive bought and sold things here over 5 times this is not your typical pawn shop! Not only have they been in business over 20 years there friendliness knowledge and fairness is outstanding!!! I brought them one of my gold chains to be fixed the clasp needed to be gold soldered! They did a very very good job exactly what I wanted! I will for sure keep coming back!!!!

A good pawn shop wont try to make you feel bad because you need a loan. A good pawn shop will use Ebay to determine a fair value for your item and not just try to low-ball you. A good pawnshop will learn your name if you do business often.Anyway, were new to LA within the last 6 months, and so I was looking for a good pawn shop here I could trust to do biz with long-term and I am SO glad I went to Elliot Salter first. Not only was the pawn transaction good, but the guys were really cool and were *genuinely* friendly and I really appreciated that. Now after many months of going to them, I dare call them friends? Such a unique place! A pawn shop that also has the feel of something out of a Harry Potter movie set!Randomly found a guitar ad on OfferUp, and it was this store selling a guitar. I’m used to pawn shops being unreasonably priced, but the guitar I bought was such a good deal! As I was hanging out there, I looked at the price tag of the other guitars, everything was extremely fair in price. I will definitely go back for other gear.Also, the staff and particularly Elliot were welcoming and friendly.

There was times in my past when I needed money quick this place saved the day for me more than once by lending me cash... and there has been times when I had an item laying around that I wanted to get rid of I bring it to them they buy it how easy no meeting strangers from the internet to sell an item how safe...last but not least they have such a wide variety of stuff to buy! I have been a collector all my life its a hobby and fun they deal in watches jewelry music equipment music instruments tools nice bikes items of value art and many other random things ... last but not least if you are on a tight budget like me they will work with you and allow you to put a small down payment and pay off the item in fair monthly payments ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

Since coming to this shop, he always made me comfortable and never embarrassed about bringing any of my items for loans, he always gives great prices on my loans and he takes really good care of my items, unlike other places where I’ve gone to in the past and my stuff comes back broken, when I come to Elliott’s I’ve gotten my stuff back just the way I took it in, all working with no issues. I give high recommendations to this shop, and I if I ever need to get a quick loan, I will definitely be back.

I went in to get rid of some ‘old’ things that were no longer serving me and make some money of coarse. I found out they weren’t worth much of anything, so I did’t make any money but I met some great guys that gave me some great advice. I don’t think I was supposed to go in there to sell anything anyway. I think I was supposed to meet these great guys and hear what they told me bc that’s more valuable than the items I brought in there to begin with. Thank you Elliot Salter! I’ve come in to Elliott Salter Pawnshop a few times while on my lunch break at work, and every time I have gone in, I have found something cool to buy. Not only do they have a pretty nice selection of assorted tools, but the guys behind the counter are really nice, and have always given me a fair price for whatever I was getting.

I suppose there are all sorts of people who find themselves selling their belongings at a pawn shop. And all sorts of reasons for doing so. I bet there are those who wake up each day, get dressed in their positivity pants and sell their things because they are buying nicer, more expensive things and they remember that old adage, one persons trash is anothers treasure.Well not me. I dont have pants. (I had to pawn them). And so we have the other type of person. Like me. Someone for whom life has happened rather harshly and in an effort to sustain and survive, we find ourselves selling sometimes precious belongings. While this may sound a dreadful and demoralizing endeavor...somehow at Elliots, it is a pretty good time. As far as the prices, he makes more than competitive offers. If they feel they arent the best place or dont have the appropriate audience for your item, they will point you in the right direction. The guys who work there are the best.Of course once you pawn or sell your its you are likely to spend the money before even leaving the shop. Between the tools, the musical instruments, the jewelry, the typewriters, the knives and the list goes on.Yay Elliott Salters Pawn Shop.
