Staff shockingly rude, and untrained on out of state licenses. I was unfairly refused.I went into this store to be grab alcohol for a tailgate visit — the woman cashier called me over as I was still browsing, said “let’s get this over-with, let me see your ID now”. I thought that was very forthcoming, but okay; get out my Illinois ID with my birthdate in ’94. She said she “could not verify if it was real” and asked me to leave. I instinctively replied “I’m flattered, but this is a real ID and that is my real birthdate” (like what else do you say??) — and she quickly came back saying she would TAKE IT if I didn’t leave. I’m just a 28 year old trying to get some liquor. I was so shocked by the whole interaction, I just walked out.I have NEVER had an experience like that in any city or even college town I’ve lived in. Her tone and demeanor were SO abrasive. Definitely avoid this store and go to one of the many other options.The inconvenience was shocking and annoying, but the joy this woman seemingly got from being so, so rude and snobby-sounding shook me for a minute.Have a normal, not unpleasant liquor run elsewhere.

Went to buy alcohol and the lady cashier i had refused to sell because she didnt feel comfortable with my ID. She couldnt verify that it was real and thats never happened to me before. There were customers behind me and i was so shocked and embarrassed I took my IDs and walked out. (I now know you can call the police to come and verify for you). I came back with my passport and went to the other cashier who was really nice. I have an Illinois license which i would think is common here but clearly she didnt know what thats supposed to look like.

Lousy customer service. We went to pick up some beer. So I wanted to know where the people brewery beer was. He told us which door and we still could find it. When I asked him to help us find it since we could find it he was unnaturally aggressive. I told him with a smile hey don’t be rude. And he started saying that I was being sassy. I ignored and went to pick up a bottle of wine and went to the checkout and he continued to be rude, so I was still smiling and said hey don’t be rude. And when he still gave me attitude I asked him who owns the store. He cockily said he is the owner. I said you couldn’t because if you were you would not treat a customer like that. He said sorry you don’t get your wine and canceled my order. And mind you there was no one else in the store.

Just checked this store and I’m in heaven! They had so many flavored seltzers to choose from, it blew my mind. When I checking out with my corona seltzer variety pack the awesome staff informed that labatts is coming out with flavored seltzers as well soon! Can’t wait. A+

Awful awful awful, they didn’t think my ID was real, it was, I had to go back and get my passport, there was a line behind me and they said they didn’t trust me, are you kidding me? My ID was real, completely unprofessional, super embarrassing, don’t bother with this place.

They clearly didnt train their employees to ID other states than Indiana. My friend, who is a senior, had to leave and come back with her passport because they rejected her Illinois ID

Was recommended to go to this place. Very rude young man with red ginger beard. He obviously does not like his employment there. When you work retail, It is ALL about how you treat the customer!! Will NOT go back and will NOT recommend. Keep it up, and you’re gonna lose a lot more sales!! Owner shouldn’t be able to afford that, especially during these Covid times.

Turned me down on my 21st birthday. Bums who work there think they know everything, will never see my face in there again

They tried to deface the government property that is my ID rather than actually ask me where I am from. One guy picked at corner of it for a solid two minutes prior to asking another clerk if it was real. They completely ignored the fact that there was a national conference in town. They even started pulling out all the fakes from my state they have taken. I have never been more affronted in my life.

I watched the manager eat half a tube of Lipstick when he didn’t know I was watching. 5 stars.

Actually very good shop. They have everything and from time to time really good sales.
