How can there be such a customer care difference between the phone/online presence and in person stores? Been a customer since 2004. After the disaster of dealing with the phone customer service I was intent on turning in all equipment, but Sharon at the West Monroe store explained the issue, corrected most of my problems, and upsold me to additional services. She saved the company from a 17-year customer leaving and receiving lots of negative feedback via public social media.

My dad passed away in December. I called to cancel his service in January. After holding for over an hour, I was told that I had to go to the local store with a death certificate. She wished me condolences and told me they would of course waive the early termination fee. I thanked her and took the death certificate and equipment to the local Comcast. The ladies there were very sweet and told me again the early termination fee would be waived. I got a bill In today for the termination fee. I called the 800 number and was told 1st that I had to pay the charge because we “decided” to cancel. The supervisor told me that I have to fill out a bunch of forms and upload the death certificate after giving it to the local store. These people argued with me for 20 minutes on why I have to pay this fee. Completely inappropriate!

I understand employees have to take a lunch break, but it’s ridiculous to make customers wait over an hour them to return. Once they did get back they didn’t want to take the time to apologize for the wait, they just rushed what your issue is then on to the next customer.

Comcast is a monopoly, not a business. They know that and they dont care about your service. Their only interest is that you pay their absurd bills. Any and all requests are typically either ignored, or acknowledged THEN ignored.Oh, and forget about using the phone customer support. They know nothing about computers or networks. Im not convinced they know anything at all, honestly.Edit: Oh, also, for anyone who cant get a person on the phone because the robot just hangs up on you, call in as a new customer. They get a rep almost instantly (shocker).

I know recently a lot of people have been without internet and I’m sure Comcast has had it’s hands full, but we have been without internet for a little over 2 weeks and we called dozen of times, we even made an appointment with them which they haven’t shown up to. They are very unreliable and unprofessional when it comes down to it. Very disappointing. I understand they have other people to fix but when u make appointments with people and get calls from them you should try to show up. We have children in the house who specifically need to have internet for online schooling on the days they don’t go. We have all been very stressed.

What politician here in Monroe/West Monroe thought it would be a good idea to only have Comcast as the only cable tv provider? It sounds like somebodys getting paid off. My services havent worked since Ive gotten them and Comcast still sends a bill every month. Ive requested for them to send out a technician multiple times and I still havent seen one. We were simply trying to gain service after moving. We talked to comcast after going online, the man on the phone, very helpful and got everything set up and all we have to do is pick up equipment, go home, plug it in and call for activation. Simple, no problem, but wait until you get to the office to pick it up. A worker will come out and write down what car you have and we’ll be with you shortly. Until waiting becomes a marathon. I don’t know maybe this isn’t a technology place, I might end up with dial-up and rabbit ears. Wouldn’t you think maybe get a name, maybe look at your computer and see what the customer is needing and get them out of here. I watch a man wait for 48 minutes to exchange a remote, we are here to just pick up equipment and put in ourselves. I don’t work here, and like all cable/satellite companies that give you a 2 hour window, maybe Comcast west Monroe has incorporated that into office visits as well, most incompetent operation in modern era I’ve every seen...the actual cable and internet are good, just this office is about the absolute 0 of customer service

We just need a human being to come out to fix our cable and internet. We have been without for going on 11 days now and cannot get anyone out to fix it. They say there is an appointment and never show up. They say someone is coming and they never do. My guess is they will still expect payment for the 11+ days that we had no service. Almost everyday I have to unplug my boxes because the cable and internet freeze up. Sometimes this fixes the issue temporarily. I upgraded internet package thinking this may help; problem still the same. I have had technicians come out several times. When you call them for issues, this turns in to at least an hour ordeal. Customer service reps sound like robots - no matter what you call about they give same answers. My bill keeps increasing for same old thing. I made decision to switch to Dish. Hoping Dish is better!!

My internet has been out for four days now in West Monroe, La! You can’t directly call the local office and all I get with 800 numbers are computer voices saying the same thing over and over. My daughter who lives 2 miles from me has had internet restored 2 days ago. My wife and I can’t get out much and do everything online. From bills to e mails to absolutely everything. Please help.

Welp Xfinity just lost a customer. I was told I could just move my service for free and all I had to do is plug is some wires. Nope. Xfinity is a trash company that doesn’t realize they have NO active lines (there’s only FOUR coming from the wall from them to pick from) at my new place. So now they expect me to pay $100 to have a tech come out to fix their mistake. I would’ve just canceled the service or had it transferred to my former roommate’s name instead of wasting my time! Waste of space. Then when I contacted them about it, they tried to start upselling me. The guy offered me some program with extra internet speeds and cable. I probably don’t need the level of internet I already have seeing as I don’t use it for THAT much and I never watch cable. Even after telling him this, he still kept pushing 🙄

My wife owns a small business, in which she needs Internet. Comcast has more outages, and slower connection speeds than I have ever seen. Unfortunately, we can’t find another service touse for their business or we would take our business elsewhere. Additionally, their customerservice is also terrible. If you can use another service provider, use them.

For the monthly fee charged for internet connection, Ive had the speed of service checked and I am lucky to get 30 to 40% of the speed I pay for. Afraid to downgrade for fear the inferior service will get worse. When you call to talk to a person, it takes on average 30-40 minutes to connect with someone. Ive tried the you will not loose your place in line. We will call you back and never hear from any one. I held on for 42 minutes just now to be told the reason the TV series I was watching on demand that was free when I chose it suddenly went blank and when I got back on demand seconds later, it was now $3.99 an episode. Representative told me I apparently had an upgrade pending. This is such bull. I would give zero if I could.

We have had 2 hurricanes here in the North Louisiana area. I do understand that there are often delays; however, Comcast seems to drag their feet when it comes to getting service restored. I see Xfinity trucks all around sitting in parking lots but no one actually working. There are so many people without cable and internet. I am a teacher and internet is the main line to my job and resources. It seems that there is a malfunction within the company and it is very vivid that customer service is not a priority. At this point, Im ready to switch services and just start fresh. We pay toooo much money for services and often have to reboot and restart our systems on a normal day. Comcast/ Xfinity needs to get it together. Whats the point in having home service when I have to find other means to do what I need to do for work. Its been 3 days and there are still 2500 people without services. However, you will still want the bill paid on time. I see online that you offer Hotspot but I cant even open the map to see where those more conventionally inconvenient spots are. This companies systems and protocols are exasperating! If you are a customer looking for service, my advise would be to give some other company, any other company a try if you want 100% customer satisfaction!

Drove 50 miles with nothing done. Waited 45 minutes for nothing. Didnt want new equipment, just wanted to lower my bill. Cost almost $100 more to keep old equipment. You have to accept new equipment to lower bill. Spent almost 4 hours on the phone with Comcast to try to get less and pay less. Not possible. Local office cant offer what you can get through Loyalty line. What? Isnt Comcast/Comcast. So now I have to make another trip to turn in old equipment and pick up the new. And they said a technician will have to come out and make adjustments since I will be getting faster internet. Well, I have been told by the loyalty people that I have the fastest speed now. And by the way it is a $70 charge for technician. If anyone has ever had one come out, let me stop there! When there is no other option in town, what can I do. It sucks

I am 64 years old and this is the worst company and customer service I have every came across. Including the three contract workers that could not fix my service. Last one spend about 2 minutes with me and then 45 minutes in my yard talking to another Comcast worker. Service not corrected but did get a $90 charge. You can never talk to a real person. Wish I could give less than a one star rating.

I’m not sure why the transfer of the customer service department to another country but it has gotten HORRIBLE! No one can help or fix simple things that you could do before via the automated system. I’ve been trying to get my service transferred from one apartment to another for 3 days and they somehow cannot figure out what the issue is! They are HORRIBLE!

Ive been in the office for various things. The staff has always been friendly & willing to help. They asked what they could do for me, I said lower my bill. They reviewed my account and lowered it with a better channel pkg than I started with. Replaced my remote (free) with no questions asked. Prices are a bit high but arent all providers as well?

Comcast talks a good talk. Offer reasonable deals. When it comes down to it, your bill or service may not reflect what was agreed. They may offer you $25 credit even if they have caused hundreds of dollars in inconvenience, damages, and nonproductive phone conversations. Other than internet service, I highly suggest you find another company for phone and television. This is not based on one bad experience, but a 7year interval of trying to capitalize on a good offer only to get highly trained CSRs to present sympathy. I experienced poor service from the tech team 1 & 2, escalation team, and salesman who set up package plan that didn’t get approved. You get the bill, it will all become clear that you made a mistake. I could write a book about all my consistent problems with Comcast Xfinity West Monroe, LA. I’m just gonna wish you the best of luck. I went to AT&T for all my services. It may not be the best but definitely less headache.

They made me scared that all the information I had linked with my very existence an insurance was in vain; police reports are very serious, an they didnt come to me free. The iPhone 6 linked to my xfinity account has a serial number, wifi address, an more. Along with those boxes from the xfinity team they all havent contacted me about my belongings nor the police get whomever put me an my family in danger.

The customer services are extremely poor/bad at Comcast; Each time you have to contact a person there is always a different analysis, no one listen to what you ask them to do, some decided to add to your bill what fit them best.. and when you get your bill it is way higher....knowing you have specific told them what you do not want and cannot afford.....It seems all the time when you call in for the simplest thing, such malfunction of their equipment, and you discuss other things, the customer service Rep made the decision to add to your account what they want........This is very bad.......And you can never speech with anyone in higher authority when you call in to complaint.

Just another typical customer service hell on earth. They have a local sales rep who does not return phone messages and does not honor his promises to call back on days and times. When you go pick up equipment at the local base, the customer service people are cold and surly. To activate my wireless, I had to waste an hour on the phone with a rep whose Indian accent was too thick to understand and who, ultimately, did not know how to activate my equipment. So I had to call a technician and fork over an additional $60.I honestly believe these folks go beyond being poor at their jobs. I think they harbor a genuine dislike of people and I think they enjoy it.

Xfinity is an absolutely horrible company. DO NOT get service with them unless your place of residence, such as apartments, only allows service from them on the property. Their technicians are incapable of handling the majority of problems you will have with them. You might actually get the help you need on about your 3rd call to the customer service number, but dont count on it. They will also try to put all of these unnecessary fees on your account, or even double the fees and tell you some unrealistic reason as to why they are there. A 1 year old child would have better customer service than them, seriously. It is not worth your precious time or patience to even start business with them. I would NEVER RECOMMEND XFINITY for anyone. If I could give them ZERO STARS, I would!

Expect your internet to drop regularly and for them to wait at least 2 days to come and fix anything. If you can go with another service, do it!Update: not only is service horrible but the customer service is even worse!! You wait forever to get someone, their phone answer service is super sensitive so be ready for it to just hang up on you and then the representatives just tell you to go to your local store. They scheduled a tech to come out on Sunday from 8-10. My roommate and I were both up waiting for him. He didnt show and didnt call. When I went up there Monday they told me they would have another tech out Tuesday from 8-10. Without telling me, they decided to change the time to 5-7, so my roommate took off the time in the morning and sat outside (to prove a point in case they didnt show again) and missed out ok 2 hours of pay for absolutely nothing. Then we got a big fat sorry when we went back up to the store. How can they be such a big company and be this terrible at conducting business?!

Allow me to share my story with you.I signed a contract with Xfinity in February & was very pleased with the speed of the internet as well as the cable.2 months ago my family & I were having financial issues so my mother used her debit card to pay our bill online so that I didnt get penalized for breaking the contract. She paid it on the internet & by accident hit auto pay the following month 397 dollars was withdrawn for her account to pay our bill. I have no earthly idea why our 90 dollar bill was that expensive. Anyway, I called while it was processing to ask them to please refund it because my mother is on a fixed income & that was well over half of her benefits. The woman I spoke to said that she would get on it, created a ticket, and said I could call her bank but didnt really need to as it would be refunded in 48 hours.A month later shes still not been refunded. I have spoken to 4 different people & their answer is always the same we cant refund it because your account will be past due. Its not my money. My mother was SEVERLY set behind because of this & I could get no help.I canceled my service & will tell anyone who will listen to me how crappy their customer service is.

Horrible!!! Our phone has been out since Tuesday & it is now Friday. None of the numbers work to contact them. Miracle....call went through but landed in the Philippines! He was useless. Those commercials that say customers are important are total lies! All they want is a check every month to heck with service!
