If you need Louisiana decor, this is the place to be in Monroe. Super cute stuff from the southern part of our great state. Great food items too!

Very nice. They really nailed the rustic atmosphere and the ladies where very helpful. The Gator Jerky stock was a bit slim but I still got what I needed.

Its a very cute shop and a great place to find a Louisiana souvenir or seasoning and some fun Mardi Gras finds.

Friendly, helpful staff. Family owned and operated. Wonderful products at good prices and products rotate to provide variety. I love shopping here for food and gifts, and its a good place for a snack if youre in the area.

You have to stop in and get a swamp pop. It is wonderful. The lady was very nice and they have a nice selection of Louisiana fare.

We were passing through Monroe moving from AL tho TX. We stopped for the night and saw a news story on King Cakes at the Rustique Gator. The next morning we went 4 mikes back in the opposite direction to go to the store. The hours online at a 10am opening. We made it to the store at 1026am. The lights were on as if it were open but the door was locked. There were two females in the store who looked our way but didnt acknowledge us until like the 3rd tone that I knocked on the window and pointed to my wrist asking what time they open. One of the females indicated 1030 and looked away.HORRIBLE AND RUDE! In my opinion, if youre not open when expected at least be kind enough you come speak to the customer 4 min before what you claim is your opening time.My husband and I love to support local businesses whenever we can, but the least you can do is have the CORRECT business hours online and have the business hours on your actual store, which they did not.The news story did its job to get customers to the store but it doesnt matter if you have no customer service.Needless to say, we walked away and got back on the road.

The lady that rated this place a one star was just wrong and should have looked at the MANY other listings. Google had the wrong hours up that have been corrected. Now my review......THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!!!!!!! If you have ever eaten or tried something in Nawlins that you loved, this place has it or will get it. And on the off chance what you want cant be found, the owner will personally let you know and probably suggest something that is close to what you want. All the employees are helpful and you can tell that like their job. SO if your passing thought Monroe, check this place out!!!!!

Wonderfully unique gift shop! Lots of awesome, fun things for home decor, as well as jewelry, t-shirts, books, and lots of different cooking spices, hot sauces, boudin, etc...Best King Cakes selection during the season!
