I read the reviews before calling, despite the negative reviews I decided that everyone deserves a second chance. Patricia off the back is rude. She was quick to tell me how much she charges. I asked what that included, since Im new to the world appraisal. Includes taking picture and doing research, I told her Ive done most of the research, just need someone the knowledgeable in what I have. She continue to state price again and assumed I was an appraisal like her. Sadly Patricia, I was not. I was a customer that, if you would of worked with me, I would of paid the fee since, what I have go for $1,000 or more and a sought out by collectors. You need to learn how to humble yourself and dont be so quick to assume. I WOULLD NOT RECOMMENDED PATRICIA TO ANYONE!!

Three years ago I made an important decision to no longer recommend Patricia Whiteside to my customers as an Art Appraiser. I made this decision after I had experienced some odd behavior from her. At that time, I recommended Patricia to a new customer. Soon after the customer had agreed to hire her to do the appraisal, Patricia made the customer very concerned that she was not going to follow through with what they had agreed to. She was concerned that Patricia was moving the goal post in that she wanted more money for the work she had agreed to. The customer told me that she had never been spoken to in the way that Patricia spoke to her and she asked me to intervene. The behavior seem irrational as my customer expressed what she experienced. She was behaving in a way that was not professional and possibly unethical. Because of this, I was concerned that Patricia was not someone I wanted to recommend any longer to my customers.Recently, I received a call from another longtime customer of mine who is an art collector. He shared with me that he had hired Patricia Whiteside to do some appraisals for him. He expressed to me some of the same complaints that my previous customer had experienced with her. I care about my customers and want what is best for them, so I told my customer that I could no longer recommend Patricia as an ethical Art Appraiser because of my previous experience.Because I shared this with my customer, Patricia has become enraged and has not let up with the phone calls to my place of business, leaving lengthy irrational voicemail messages threatening to ruin me and my business by going on the internet to every website site leaving made up bad reviews. I find this behavior completely unstable.

Ms. Whiteside gave me some very accurate estimates last year at a very reasonable fee. Thank you Patricia!
