As stated by another review, Keith did a fantastic job making a cover for my Crestliner boat. Takes a little longer because he has to remove many plastic gunwale clips and restitch them into the new cover. He also uses Sunbrella material which should last many years longer than 5 years that my original factory cover lasted and actually cost less than a new factory cover. I traveled all the way from Rochester to Buffalo because no one in my area would attempt to do this for me. So if you have a crestliner boat and need a new cover trust Keith to come through.
If it were possible, I would give A Stitch In Time more than five stars! My children bought my boat cover from here as a gift well over 15 years ago. It is a perfect custom fit, made with outstanding craftsmanship, precision, and skill. All these years later, the custom cover is still in great condition, and so is my boat. If you are interested in buying anything custom A Stitch In Time is the place to trust. In addition to Keiths great product, his customer service and care make you feel like he is a longtime friend. My family and I would highly recommend A Stitch In Time!
Keith is great to work with and very communicative. He helped us with a repair quickly and didn’t gouge us on price! Highly, highly recommend!!
Keith made a beautiful cover that fits perfectly, but it did take a little longer than he initially predicted. I let it slide because my particular cover had plastic gunwale clips that had to be removed from the original factory cover and re-stitched into the new one. It was a tricky job and outside his ordinary snap solution. The price was exactly what he predicted. It cost considerably less than a new factory cover and should last a lot longer than the 5 yrs we got out of the original from Crestliner.
Keith did a great job repairing our 12 year old boat cover, no cost at all. Recommend this place 100%.
Great help from Keith today fixing our boat cover, thank you for taking care of us same day!! Very grateful!!
Absolutely fantastic job ... came out to my house to take a look and ended up taking the canvas with him ....androgen even brought it back to house in like a day all fixed up !! Took the time to make sure everything was right and went beyond in fixing a few odds and ends for me .... such great attention to detail and care given to the finished product

Had my truck seat reupholstered, amazing job, and fantastic customer service. Amazing guy... very reasonable and would definitely recommend to anyone! A++Thanks Keith!Al
Working with Keith was great he is a great canvas guy, he did a cover for my 20ft cuddly boat and did exactly what I wanted for a great price, his workman ship looks great and he offers a great warranty, what else can I say he did the job and did it right! I couldn’t be happier
Keith did an outstanding job on our boat enclosure this spring, basically a camper back. We finally put it to the test this past weekend and worked great!! It would have been an almost unbearable cold ride on the water, but the enclosure kept use warm and comfortable. Just what we needed to extend the seasons, ride through some passing showers, and the occasional sleep over on the boat. Great to work with and great prices. Thank you Keith!!
Keith did an amazing job on a challenging boat. His is a true craftsman. I could not be happier with the results.
Keith did an amazing job. We took two leather couch cushions to him with the material from the back so the color could be matching. Wow great work better than expected. His knowledge, craftsmanship and customer service is what one would expect and then some. We are taking two more to him after the holiday’s. Will definitely use him again and hardly recommend to others. Thank you Keith. Ron and Sue Roman.
Keith did a great job making my convertible top on my boat, he also made the side curtains and a mooring cover with a window. Very professional job at a great price and in a timely matter.
I dropped my boat off for Keith to make a 2 piece cover. 3 days later it was done to perfection, zippers, snaps all fit perfect. Highly recommended! Great guy to talk with.
What can I say about this place, it awesome. If you want an amazing job done to your boat seats, snowmobile seat, boat covers, just about anything in that nature A stich in time is the place to go. I had my boat seats and my snowmobile seat all done by him and it looks better then brand new. We have been going to him for over 25 years and he has never let us down. I would tell anyone to go to him for all that stuff. Awesome job
Keith was great. He was so prompt with communication via phone and text. He got me in immediately for an estimate and then his prices were so reasonable he scheduled the job on the spot disassembled my tables and took the pieces to be re-upholstered. He showed back up at a crazy hour in the AM before I had patients scheduled and got my tables back up and running with the new upholstery AND they look AMAZING!!! I couldnt be any happier with his work. 5 Stars. Dr. Matt

The work completed on my boat cover was outstanding. Everything was custom made and with the best quality materials. The owner, Keith, was professional and quick to finish the job. I highly recommend A Stitch in Time.
I cannot tell you ENOUGH how great its been working with Keith @ A Stitch In Time. Lets start from the beginning. Last summer we had a, lets call it, catastrophic event going 60mph with the boat in tow and the engine cover/sundeck suddenly ripped wide open. It caused a huge problem ranging from torn vinyl, ripped hinges, blown out support shocks, etc. I was able to rig it to continue to operate last year but this year I started tearing into it and realized its worse than I initially thought. I started calling everywhere for ideas and repairs.. dealers, junk yards, ebay, upholstery shops etc. Nobody was able to touch a boat part. So, I started researching “marine upholstery shops” near me. I found one in Hamburg.. they were willing to do the work, they were super easy to deal with, gave me a quote via texted pictures that they would adhere to etc… but the wait time was TWO MONTHS. Normally I’m pretty patient, but in 2 mos boating season will darn near be over with, and without an engine cover to cover up the dangerous mechanicals, the boat really shouldn’t be driven. The search continued. Pretty much every single place I called was not interested or not capable of fixing this sundeck since it would require custom pieces of marine grade wood, custom work etc. I finally found a gentleman in Tonawanda. He wanted me to bring the piece to him (which was a reasonably long drive 1-way, by the way) and he told me for $850 he’d come up w/ a fix that wouldn’t look good but he’d at least guarantee its efficacy. He quoted me $1500 to completely replace all of the marine wood/stitching but use the factory vinyl. No thank you.It was then that I found A Stitch In Time. The place I used to work right up the road from. The place I’ve passed a million times. Yet, in all of my searching for marine upholstery, this shop, when it finally came up in my search, was all the way at the bottom. So, I called him. It was a Saturday afternoon when the shop was clearly marked as “closed” on the website. Keith answered the call almost immediately and told me he’d be willing to meet up at his shop sometime on a Sunday (you know, the other day that his shop is closed…). He told me over the phone what he’d charge to make a quick-fix or a long-fix… he said either way he would guarantee the results and won’t give me back the product unless he’s comfortable with the repairs. When we showed up at the shop, we noticed beautiful and stunning custom boat covers, custom marine seating etc.Well, we went with Keith. He told us it would be about a month before he could get it in (but we got it back in less than 2 weeks…) and went WAY above and beyond. He quoted us $300 to completely replace all the marine grade wood and custom build a new sundeck, using our vinyl (which was in great shape). Little did I know how much in ‘extras’ he’d be throwing in.. he remade our pull-straps (which were completely ragged), he added new vinyl to the underside of the sundeck which was previously a mesh-looking material and black with mold, he remade the hinge-straps which were trashed, and he bought new stainless steel mounting hardware.Keith came to my house twice.. once because he said he needed exact measurements for the sundeck and wanted to get some measurements off the boat. He stated that he wants this cover to be absolutely perfect when I get it back. The second time he came to my house was when he called me 2 weeks earlier than he said it would be finished and offered to come by in a few hours to install the new sundeck.. HIMSELF. Sure enough, he showed up when he said he would, installed the sundeck, and cleaned up all his mess around the yard. Oh ya.. I almost forgot. He noted a few bent pieces of hardware from when the sundeck was ripped open and he removed those pieces and fixed them on the spot so that everything was perfection when he left.Im out of characters for his review and had to delete a lot.. but in short, he didnt charge ONE PENNY over the $300 he quoted us for on the phone 2 weeks prior. If your reading this, dont think, just do.
Keith did an excellent job repairing my driver seat on my old car. He matched and installed new upolstry perfectly. He is very professional and affordable in a quick turnaround. Highly recommend.
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT do business with “kieth” he does not stick to his word, you will play phone tag with him for at least a month...DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN HE IS A SCAM!
Keith is awesome! I work at a dental office and our dental chair was coming apart at the seam. I called him and he came over within a half hour. He looked at it and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the work and how long it would take.He came back a few hours later and took the back off the chair and and took it with him. He told me it would be 1-2 days. He was back by the end of the same day. I would highly recommend him.
I like this guy. Good service, knows how to please. Very personable. Also, does great work
Keith, thanks again for the quick service and quality work on my boat. I never thought it would look so good!! Highly recommend.
He does great work at an affordable price in a very quick time frame. Thank u for the great work my boat an truck seats look great
I can not say enough about Keith from A Stitch in Time! He was very honest and helpful, took the time to discuss my options and I feel went above and beyond to get my boat looking new again! Keith worked around our schedule and delivered the boat on time. When meeting with Keith, I found out he upholster’s salon chairs also. I have clients, friends and family in disbelief that my chairs and boat seats are not bought out of a catalog! I highly recommend (and have) A Stitch in Time for all your upholstery needs.
Keith does a great job at custom boat solutions. I had a specific past issue with boat covers interfering with my hoist, and he understood immediately. The solution was unique and much appreciated.
Keith far surpasses the competition in time, quality and high end materials. He worked around our patient schedule, reupholstering and stabilizing 4 tables and stools over a weekend and had our rooms ready for patient care on Monday at 6 am! Exceptional attention to detail! Thank you Keith!
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Keith at A Stitch in Time. My new boat canvas is BEAUTIFUL and the work was done quickly and professionally! If you need a new canvas or canvas repair, call Keith!
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST !!! This clown does poor workmanship, took 3.5.. YES .3.5 years to do a rear bench seat for my boat. Then he has nerve to chargE for his work and its a rush job! Looks unprofessional and sloppy. Do not do any business with this Keith guy. He lies, ignores calls and a good story teller!
Amazing work in a reasonable time. He came out to the house measured and delivered...all with a smile!
This is the worst and most disorganized business I’ve ever seen in my adult life. I dropped my boat seats off in March and they were not completed.I was lied to several times on the phone by the owner and on top of that he didn’t answer the phone and avoided my calls many of times.Do not use this company, you will be very disappointed and frustrated as I am now.
My husband and I just spent a fortune on a newer Sea Ray from a very good friend. This Keith guy got the seat to be recovered along with the material provided by the customer. He has had possession of the SEAT AND MATERIAL for almost 4 years. The previous owner, along with myself and husband have been calling this man relentlessly for collectively about 4 years. What kind of business sham is this guy running? Then on top of everything else he CHARGES THE FORMER OWNER $400.00 FOR LABOR! You can obviously tell the work on it was very rushed and half assed.... Im telling everyone right now DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAMMER... The only reason he even got one star was so I could access this to warn others of his shotty work, and incredibly horrible time frame. Try to call, he ignores any numbers that he knows are after their items...this is going to stop VERY, VERY SOON!
Does a good job in a timely manner.
Keith always gets me in right away for my boat canvas repairs and does quality work in a timely manner at a fair price.
Great work on my boat cover - awesome work THANKS!!!
