Amanda (technician that came) was awesome. She diagnosed the problem almost immediately and fortunately she had the part on hand. She swapped it out quickly and restored our dishwasher. She cleaned the work area and did an overall great job.
We tried to use this business for repairs to our Maytag washing machine. We tried to use them through the Lowe’s protection plan, however the company didn’t seem to be interested. I called and spoke to them several times to try and get them to take the job. They really didn’t try at all to take the job. According to Lowe’s the company’s system wouldn’t accept the work order from Lowe’s. I asked Lowe’s to call the company and try to have them enter the work order manually but the gentleman from the company that answered the phone refused and said that we should try back in a month. I called the company back again and the woman that answered just said she didn’t know what was happening and didn’t offer any help to try and find out why. I just don’t understand this type of customer service and can’t understand how a company that operates like this can stay in business. I will never try to use this company again for anything nor would I refer them to anyone. Stay away.

My only concern was the 129.00 visit fee plus 60.00 labor for two 35.00 parts. The tech was great and replaced two parts in no time. Just think the 189.00 was a bit high. But I need my dishwasher.
Ken arrived and after asking what seemed to be the problem did a checkout and found that the electronic board was defective, he also thoroughly explained what to do to be able to use the washer until the part could be obtained and then further checked to see if there were any other problems. He was very polite, knowledgeable and professional. We will definately want him to install the new part when it arrives and insure that everything is back in A-one condition.
I was told by the technician that I would have 30 days to consider if I want to replace the part and would be able to waive the $129 visit fee after that, but I called back the next day and being told that was not the case. The $129 only would be waived right after the assessment if decided to go ahead. Anyway, hope the communication could be clearer and other customers would be aware of this pitfall.
Technician (Williams) was excellent. He listened to our issues with washer. He did a diagnosis and check of it. He then gave very thorough and helpful information for future. He advise on the items that we couldnt find on the Maytag website or the owners manual & explained information very concisely & clearly. Would recommend to others in the future.

From the moment I submitted my appointment request on the simple and easy to use website I found this company to be professional, interested in my predicament and invested in helping me resolver my anxiety and problem. My service tech JORDAN M. was so professional, informative and especially kind as he assessed and also repaired my GE REFRIGERATOR. Jordan M. was also very good with the many kids and questions that were asked of him. Especially from my Son with Autism who kept asking over and over if he was here to fix water on the refrigerator door. This was was second experience with the Company that Ive been very pleased both times.
Ken came and was super professional and knowledgeable. He explained what he was looking at and doing. This is still under warranty but he took his time to check everything and his explanations made sense to us. I would want him to always come and evaluate and repair our appliances.
We REALLY lucked out by Chuck coming today to repair our new refrigerator. Based upon the symptoms we shared, he took apart the freezer panel, diagnosed the problem and replaced a sensor in a flash. What was really special, was that my wife and I received an excellent education as to what the problem was, why he replaced the sensor, and what we could expect from the repair. IF we ever need any appliance repairs, we will surely contact Advantage Appliance Repair, Inc. and ask for Chuck. He was a pleasure to relate with. We suggest you do the same.
Easy to work with the office staff. I told them the suspected issues and they promised to have parts on the truck, something no other repair firm would do. Technician Jordan was polite, efficient and quick. The necessary parts were in fact on the truck and we got two appliances repaired in an hour at a reasonable rate. Jordan found a new, unrecognized problem and fixed that too. I have only good things to say about him and the company.

A very nice young man on his way out he noticed a red light on our refrigerator. It had been on since we changed the filter and we did not know how to reset it. He showed us how to do it. Whirlpool Service Plan set me up with these guys when our fancy Ice Maker quit making ice. My first gut feeling was they must be a large company because of the professionalism when they called me promptly and then the follow up email confirming appointment. Received a courteous reminder call from my service guy (My new friend VINNY) well within the discussed window stating that he would see me in 30 minutes. Anyway, Vinny arrived and diagnosed our issue within 10 minutes. After talking with him awhile I found that they are not a huge company but a small more family owned size with only about 6 repair guys. Even more Impressive in my Opinion. Turns out these guys are one of the few repair companies in our area (CHARLOTTE/MOORESVILLE NC) who are WHIRLPOOL CERTIFIED (WPC).Within a week Vinny made a return visit to my home (with Parts) and had us back in Tip Top shape in a matter of minutes once again.BOTTOM LINE: I could not be happier with my Entire Positive Experience. My experience with Advantage Appliance Repair was only good because of William, he was professional and explained the problem very well and made us feel very comfortable to use Advantage. My experience with the office was not as good. The person that answered the phone did not feel the urgency in solving our problem. If my first introduction to Advantage Appliance Repair had just been with the office, I would not give 5 stars, but my technician made the difference.

My 2 years old Whirlpool washer broke a few weeks ago, and after reaching out to Whirlpool, Advantage Appliance was sent to me to diagnose the issue. Their tech Ken was on time, incredibly polite and professional, and I truly felt that he had my best interests at heart when I asked him what I should do about the machine once diagnosed. I have to commend Advantage Appliance, they have been stuck as the middle men between myself and Whirlpool... I have had quite a few calls in to Whirlpool about the machine and requesting some assistance with the bill since it was so new. There was a little hiccup with the appointment I had to get the repair done yesterday (the parts were not in), but as someone who works in automotive service I know that these things just happen sometimes. Yes, I am frustrated that the washer is fixed. Yes, I would love for the parts to come in today or tomorrow. But, even if it takes another week or so I am still very happy with the service I have gotten from Advantage Appliance. Sometimes its not just about a quick turnaround, sometimes it is about how a company handles these hiccups, and just general friendly and responsive customer service. They have provided that to me so far, and some day if I need help with another appliance I would feel very good about using them again.
This is my second excellent experience with Advantage Appliance Repair and their technician, Amanda. The first experience was with a Range and Microwave that needed to be sorted out. Within a few minutes she had an issue at the electrical panel left by our contractor that she corrected, so this was a wiring issue with the Range that was quickly resolved and she also had a part to replace the motherboard on a new Whirlpool Microwave. So she quickly diagnosed and resolved these two issue for us on that first occasion. Today we had thrown a belt on a new Whirlpool Dryer and sheared a bolt on the drum. Again the diagnosis came quickly that we needed a new belt and and a new motor. Wisely she came with both of these items on the vehicle and had both replaced and repaired within a half hour or so and we were up and running again. On both occasions we got the service that we were a great need of within a day or two of the call for help and both times this savvy technician was able to resolve this issue by good planning in advance of the visit. We are extremely satisfied with both Advantage Appliance Repair and especially their technician Amanda!
Only one of three appointments kept. Cannot seem to keep appointments when scheduled. Talked to manager named Brian. Totally unprofessional. Stated reason appointments cannot be kept in a timely manner is they only have 1 technician and he only works 2 days a week Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dont was your time or money on this service it will cost you more than you might expect.
I have used Advantage Appliance before and been happy with their service. This time the dryer stopped working. Placed a call for service was give a window when the tech would be here. On the date I received a call from tech: Jordan, he said he would be here in 10 minutes and he was. Jordan diagnosed the problem told me what it was and the cost to repair it. He took care of the problem. Again, I was very happy with the service.

This company is run by scammers. I bought two machines from Lowes in October (4 months prior). They needed to be serviced because they arent working properly. Whirlpool booked an appointment with this company. I couldnt make it to the appointment. I had my mother open the door. The company asked for $150 visit fee (even though its a warranty visit). Online it says this should be per visit (they wanted to charge her per machine). They ended up leaving without repairing the machines. Tried to call them back no answer.AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE CANCER.
Received great service! Scheduler took our dishwasher info and scheduled an appointment a few days out. Jordan, our tech, was great! He diagnosed the problem, quoted a price, replaced the part and was done quickly which is important in this time of COVID. Will use this service again.
I first called Advantage when my local repair couldnt figure out what was wrong with my dishwasher. The Advantage person fixed it in one visit. For the past five years, they have been my go-to, and I have NEVER been disappointed. Just yesterday, Nick came to fix my dryer, repaired it quickly, and when I had a question about a possible glitch the next day, he called my back immediately and cleared it up in seconds. I dont know what I would do with out them. TOTAL PEACE OF MIND with Advantage!!!!

Wouldn’t recommend! The only reason for the 1 star was for the tech and because you can leave nothing else.This company charged me for an appliance repair that was a warranty issue. I was told at the end of the repair there was a charge and that the stove was no longer under warranty . It is brand new just out of the box and the manufacture didn’t assemble correctly. When I question the tech about the charge he called Advantage and spoke to a service rep. She told him it was off warranty and that I was told there would be a charge. There is no way in heck I would have agreed for the amount charged.She told him I was informed of the fee when the appt was confirmed I spoke to 3 people and was never told. Lie #1. He in turn asked if she wanted proof of purchase to confirm warranty, she told him no it’s not under warranty. At that point your pretty much bullied to pay! As the tech was leaving he told me I would have to fight with the name brand company to be get my money back and left me a magnet to $20. 00 off future repairs! Really!!So I called brand name company and went back and forth with her. She finally called Advantage and the same service rep answered and lied to her. I was told to call back advantage to dispute! When I did get through I was told the finance department will call me back we’ll guess what no phone call back today.Stay away!!I did not buy the stove in May 2019! You have the wrong Information. I have the receipt bought July of this year at home depot. I was willing to show the receipt to your service tech. I would have even given you a copy for your records. So again your company is not correct. So get your facts straight!!! 😡

He was on time and called 30 minutes before arrival. He had the part we needed with him and the repair only took a few minutes. After being told that they fixed my brand of machine, I was then told the terms of $129, which would be taken off the bill should I decide to have it fixed. If I decided not to have it fixed, I would still have to pay the service charge of $129. You can imagine how shocked I was, when I had to pay the $129 because they simply do not have the part. You naturally assume if theyre in the repair business, they would have the part. To take my money, and do nothing, I thought was very unfair.

These guys have a relationship with Whirlpool. When I scheduled a repair through the Whirlpool service center, they scheduled the appointment with Advantage.They were prompt to call me, but I am luckily to describe the whirlpool microwave to them. The advantage person had to talk to other people in their shop which informed him that they do not service Whirlpool microwaves.You would think Whirlpool and their service providers would have clear service agreements between them. This does not reflect well on Whirlpool, but Advantage should have the right information up front prior to scheduling an appt. Advantage admitted they do not have the model or serial number which I provided through the Whirlpool service center.The people were nice enough, but they wasted my time. If they had showed up, I expect they would have charged me the $129 onsite fee.Poor customer experience.
John, an AARepair tech was timely, professional and knowledgeable. I have a Kitchen Aid refrigerator that was part of Del Webbs Pulte Home Construction package. The ice accumulation inside the lower half of the refrigerator created an advanced problem before I detected it.
Jordyn came to my home to address my under-warrantee washing machine problem. He was on time and called just before arrival which I appreciated. He spent ample time exploring the problem before he resolved it. He spent extra time giving me laundry handling tips and answering my questions. I was given Advantage appliance repair from Lowes ..from whom I purchased the refrigerator..a 3 year old whirlpool..the technician arrived and diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning defroster .... and the defroster control needed to be replaced....the technician defrosted the coil with a blow dryer..2 days later the technician returned with the new control (temperature control),the temperature never was in an acceptable range....45 plus ..then slowly in the 50 degree range then 60 degrees...since my follow up call was over 30 days it would not be covered by the original service call..as a side note ..the hurricane shut down my electricity for 5 days days ... i recieved a bill for $450.00...$250.00 for the part...(I could buy it on line for $50.00) and $200.00 for labor..$450.00 total ....another technician was sent ..the coil was again frozen over .. and another seperate defrost control harness needed to be replaced (heating control)..the technician tested the heating coil part and said it was working fine... another $50.00 for the part..$200.00 for labor....$700.00 total .....when I called the service department after the first repair...i asked for the part that was replaced ..I was told the part was returned to whirlpool...three service calls ..you are given a 5 hour service window ... twice the tech showed up at the very last minute of the window..the funny thing is when I call the service number on the invoice no one answered...when I call the website number they picked up on the first ring ....i hope someone who is contemplating using advantage reads this ..this repair should had been in the $250.00 range

Arranged for a service call to repair microwave/convection oven. Told company it was installed over the stove. Technician arrived, took one look at it and said, “I can’t repair this if it’s installed.” Charged $99.00 and did absolutely nothing. Rip off.I did not cancel the appointment. They did. So they lie as well.

I wouldnt recommend Advantage Appliance after latest service repair by the company. My husband and I have used them twice.Note you will have to pay a $100+ consultation fee for them to assess your problem and then a separate cost to fix it.The first time was for a repair with our washing machine. The repair person who came out was nice and assessed the problem, however when they sent another repair person to fix it, that individual told the first assessment was wrong. He had the parts and fixed it. Its still working.Our most recent repair gets a one-star rating.The door closed sensor on our Whirlpool (model WRV976FDEM01) wasnt working correctly and the coldness of the fridge was not what it should be. We called Advantage, they sent someone out to assess the problem, and we were told a tech repair person would be back to fix it. The total for the repair was $516.85. When that person came, he told us the assessment wasnt accurate, and he would need another piece to fix it, and that he would have to order it.We would have to a few weeks before the job could be complete.After a couple of weeks, we received the additional piece. They mailed it directly to our house (I appreciated that) and about a week later the appointment to reschedule was booked. When the repair person arrives she only replaced one of the pieces. My husband and I thought that was odd because the other individual specifically ordered two parts, and she only replaced one.We saved the other piece.Up until the week of 1/4/21, the fridge seemed to be fine. Then I began hearing the door sensor again. My husband checked to see if there was a leak to the piece where the part was replaced and there was not. He called Advantage Appliance and explained the situation, and they still wanted us to pay the consultancy fee to have one of their techs fix a problem we paid $516.85 dollars that was supposed to be fixed.He also learned they dont guarantee their work for more than 30 days. Hot mess. He wasnt paying. Gotta love the internet because he found a video that showed you how to replace the wire that wasnt replaced by the tech. Thats what we did this weekend. He and I fixed it ourselves (see the photos of what their repair person should have done, but didnt) We had to remove the food, all the shelves, drawers, and doors to replace one small wire.Something tells me the second tech who came knew thats what was required, and its why she only did the replacement of one of the parts. She did the easy part.Im infuriated that the company didnt honor their work. Im disappointed we paid $516.85 dollars and did someone elses job for them.If another appliance goes, we wont ever call Advantage Appliance, and recommend you dont either. Look around for an alternative repair company and if you have the time, DIY!

Had a repair man come out to repair my washer which is under warranty. He ordered a part and said it would be there in about a week.I Had to pay in full upfront for the repair. After 2weeks I called to see where the part was and they had me call the manufacturer even though they ordered it And was told that part would take 4-6 weeks to ship. When I called to complain Brian who is one of the owners Said why are you so upset? It’s only a washer! And then went on to say what do you want you are getting the part for free. I paid good money for the washer and paid up front for the labor cost! He should not be in customer service and Obviously he does not do laundry. I am a nurse in a hospital and need to wash clothes frequently !! The customer service was horrible!! I canceled the repair and will take my business elsewhere. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place!!!

I needed a warranty repair on a JennAir gas cooktop that took several visits replacing different parts. A different repairman came for the final visit today. I cant say enough about what a great job John did getting my cooktop up and running just in time for Thanksgiving. He wore a mask for our safety and he was thorough and professional. I don’t post reviews, but I am more than willing to write one for Jeremy and Advantage Appliance. Through the years we have had to use Advantage Appliance for refrigerator issues and we have always requested Jeremy because of the outstanding first experience we had with him and other encounters through the years. Jeremy is a very knowledgeable, competent and personable technician and was able to diagnose our most recent issue within minutes and promptly returned to fix it, as he has done several times in the past. I have found Advantage Appliance to be a very reputable and customer friendly company that I would highly recommend as well as requesting Jeremy as a technician.
Vinnie our technician was great. In my opinion he went beyond to figure out the problem with our fridge. He spent the time during off hours and our appliance now works better than it did when we first got it. Thanks Vinnie for all you did.

Worst service call ever. # 1 The worker had to be reminded 4 times to keep his mask on, even after we told him we had a 5 month old baby in the house. #2 He took a quick look at our refrigerator, fiddled with something (broke the plastic cover btw), then went back to the office and reported on the service order that WE left the door open. #3 We called them back, this time he said there was a gap in the door and calked it - nothing in the fridge worked after that! I called Family Appliance and they actually had real technology to assess the problem, identified it, and ordered parts. I asked for my money back from Advantage...well they TOOK ADVANTAGE and kept it. NOT HAPPY!Your response to my review is appreciated; however, your tone of putting down/shaming my decision to go with another provider was unnecessary. More importantly, it would have nice if you could have at least acknowledged your serviceman put our family at risk by not following COVID protocol. A simple sorry you were dissatisfied with our service would have been appropriate rather than shaming me and defending your repairmans inability to fix our fridge after 2 visits. You have MANY positive reviews, but is it really out of the realm of possibility that in this case your employee didnt provide the quality of service you expect?

Friendly customer service on the phone however not very knowledgeable employee... had them out to investigate a very specific error code on my refrigerator indicating a failing condenser fan. The guy had no real idea about what was going on with the refrigerator, found a broken door switch in freezer, stated it could be board and it could be compressor (which is expensive and we definitely wouldn’t want to fix, we’d replace refrigerator). Ordered door switch and came back four days later to install (still not knowing if that would fix the issue), well it didn’t. Called to let them know and they wanted to send him back four days out to install another $250 board (but not sure it would fix it). First time the guy was here he told me how the refrigerator I have is an expensive piece of junk that I’ll be facing multiple repairs on. Second time out after i again explained I wasn’t wanting to invest too much into this refrigerator that I’d rather replace it if it was going to nickel and dime me, he stated that it was a “great” fridge and that wouldn’t happen 🤔. So which is it? Did he forget what he had told me four days prior because he totally contradicted himself there? I’ve decided that I’m not going forward with having them throw costly parts into this refrigerator in an attempt to fix it. Just going to eat the $250 that we’ve thrown away already and never call this place again going forward.
I wanted to take a moment to say how amazing the service was that we received from Chuck. He kept me updated on when he would arrive and was very helpful in explaining the issues and the options. I would call on him (and this service) again and recommend others do as well!
The technician Nick knew exactly how to fix our issue and how to work with a company to get it done as fast as possible. It made the whole experience much easier and faster and saved us a ton of headaches.

Today, technician Mike C. came to my place to figure out what was wrong with my Dishwasher. He was ontime, super responsive, and very nice........a complete professional! My problem was easily solved and he gave good advice on another appliance. (He is also a fellow fan of my favorite NFL Team:)

They are HORRIBLE!! everyone there!! They dropped off a whirlpool drum for a washing machine that I never requested whatsoever. This drum which is very heavy and we cannot move, has been in our driveway for 3 months now, and they will not come and pick it up. They say whirpool needs to get it, and whirpool says they ordered it, they need to get it. I have called 8 times if not more, and everyone is extremely nasty, and refuses to help!!They want to blame on Whirlpool now, but Whirlpool did not deliver this. Advantage appliance will never be used by us again!!!

Amanda is our regular repair tech, she’s always great, trying to resolve all issues while she’s here. Probably the best service experiences I’ve had in all the years I’ve been using repair techs. Everyone I’ve dealt with there has always been great!
