Super happy to be a BlackOvis customer. I dont normally write reviews, but these guys deserve a good one from me. Without going into the weeds on details, they bent over backwards to make sure a situation I had ended right for me -- and it didnt even take any persuasion. My opinion is that they work hard to bring us great deals on great gear, and they really want to serve their customers well. How many companies can you say that about? Ill keep shopping here for sure.

I got a pair of Crispi hiking boots from BlackOvis and 3 pairs of socks. the boots are the best pair of hiking boots I have ever hiked in. I have really bad ankles. These boots gave me great support on my recent deer hunt hiking the rough desert country. The Socks are very comfortable. BlackOvis staff is the most down to earth friendly people I ever met as well. I highly recommend BlackOvis great quality products and great a business.

This company has terrible customer service. They are not helpful in the least bit when they forget to put a necessary part in your order. They will instead direct you to the manufacturer which ends up being a process in itself. They will not take responsibility for their error.UpdateI did have a second rep reach out and was very helpful. They had my parts sent out that day and arrived the next morning. This rep was very apologetic if all of their customer service could act in this manner they’d get a five star review.

Went into there store front looking for a pair of crispi boots. Best decision I have made in a long time. Wasn’t pushy and super cool. Actually talked to somebody that new there shiz. My initial order, email communications and shipping were fantastic. I wasnt aware of Black Ovis until a size I needed from Sitka wasnt available from Sitkas site. I found the the size I needed on the Black Ovis site. After receiving the bibs and trying them on, I realized I needed 1 size larger. I called Black Ovis and they were great on the phone, said since I was local I could drive to their office and exchange the bibs, and that they had my size in stock. I thanked them and told them I was on my way. After making the 45 minute drive and getting to their store, they said my size was out of stock. I explained Id just spoken with the gentleman, confirmed they were in stock and told him I was on my way. At no point was I warned that they only had 1 left and that they wouldnt hold them, and there was a risk that one pair could be ordered in the time it took me to drive there. They didnt seem to care or offer any apology that Id driven all the way out there, and still had to drive home without my bibs.They should have warned me during the phone call and suggest I order them online before driving out there to lock them in for me. It was a complete waste of time, and I was more disappointed that they didnt seem to care what had happened.Thought Id found a great new online and in person store for hunting gear, but I wont be using them again after todays issue. Giving them 2 stars because the original order and delivery process was excellent. The return and in person customer service was terrible.

I went into the storefront today and was immediately greeted by Dave. He answered all of my questions, and went back to the warehouse multiple times to grab products I wanted to look at. I have recently been trapped in the sitka bubble, so was going to go that route. Dave showed me a comparable item for half the price and explained everything about it in great detail.I would absolutely recomend black ovis and camofire to anyone. I special ordered some arrows and the vanes were glued incorrectly and they left gobs of dried glue stuck to every arrow. I emailed blackovis and never got a response. i eventually removed the vanes and put new ones on myself. Very disappointed with this company and i will never order from them again.

I hadn’t ever heard of black ovis prior to Black Friday shopping this year but I saw they were having sales on Sitka gear and free shipping so I bought several hundred dollars worth of stuff from them. Well today I got an email that two of the things I had ordered they oversold their inventory so they’d be refunding me my money. I called customer service and was told a refund was all they could do and I was out of luck on the items I’d ordered. Just so happens that one of the items was the one I was looking forward to the most. I’m pretty disappointed in this company. If you don’t have something, don’t list it for sale. They won’t be getting another dime from me.

Hello,I ordered on the site of blackovis a bag badland bino cSeptember 28 and I still have not received my package.Its still 19 days, I paid 42 dollars for a sendfast and secure (between 5 and 10 days).I contacted by email blackovis on October 5 to havemy follow up order.Mr Travis customer service my said my order will be sent under 24H?I return an email on October 12 to have my order trackingand where is my package.I did not get an answer?The money was withdrawn from my bank account on October 2nd.I would like my package because I paid for it.I think I was patient and I would like an answer.thank you
Let me start off by saying, BlackOvis has a great selection of gear. If you want high quality hunting supplies, this as easy of a place to find it as any. Unfortunately, their customer service is not on point. Ive ordered quite a bit of stuff from the website and it has always worked out. However, this season, I ordered a Jetboil before Labor Day as I was going to be backpacking into hunting camp. I figured if I ordered it super early Tuesday morning Id be able to have it in my possession before heading to the hills Friday night. Nope. The thing didnt even ship till Wednesday evening. I didnt receive it till Saturday night. I was already on the mountain so it was a worthless purchase. I gave BlackOvis the benefit of the doubt but, I got bit again. I ordered a pair of Crispi boots on Monday. Ive been keeping an eye on the status and guess what, its Thursday and it is still processing. I called customer service seeing as I would be packing in Sunday night for a week long elk hunt and hoping theyd help me out some. Customer Service was absolutely no help. No offer to help push it along. No offer to expedite. Nothing. Complete apathy. It was explained that they were backed up since it was hunting season. Shouldnt they communicate this before we click the submit purchase button? He also told me that is why there is an option for 1 day shipping. Really!? Im aware there are other option for fast shipping. But BlackOvis prides itself on fast, free shipping. And there was no type of communication saying there would be a 3-5 day backlog in processing orders! Super condescending. I cancelled the purchase. The customer service rep didnt even try to talk me out of cancelling. Its really a shame. The website says, We earn your loyalty with wicked fast free shipping, unmatched customer service. Ive received neither twice in a row now. This experience has crushed my loyalty and forced me to decide not to order from BlackOvis in the future nor recommend them to those I hunt with.
I made a purchase on Sunday, July 22nd. The funds were placed on hold in my bank account that day. Monday, July 23rd I called Black Ovis requesting how many quantities of the item were in stock in the particular size. I received the quantity of three. That night the funds were charged to my account. Wednesday, July 25th I called again requesting when the product will be shipped out and I was told they are behind on shipping and my package will go out tomorrow. Today, Thursday, July 26th I receive a phone call from Black Ovis stating that they do not have any inventory to fulfill the order. I ask what the options are and I was told there are no options besides providing a refund. There is obvious signs of miscommunication at Black Ovis.
