This shop is amazing. I honestly wont go anywhere else. They are always really busy and it might take a day to be seen but its completely worth it. I had all these concerns and me not being a car person they walked me through everything. They even offered to show me how to check my own oil properly because I was afraid I was doing it wrong. They are all nice and friendly and do amazing work at the best price. I seriously drive out of my way passing many shops to go to them. next year when I move across the state bet your money Im still driving to this shop. Came in for a repair and it was a big one. The guy even recommend since I already had so many issues not to fix the car and get a different one. They lost money today but gained a life long costumer( they already had that from last experiences). I work on construction sites and anytime I hear anyone needing a mechanic I send them here. Hour out of the way? Worth it. Next year Ill be an hour and a half away and Ill still come here You cant beat this shop. If your reading this review just go there. No need to look anywhere else.

I pulled up just before closing. An employee was pulling a truck into the garage for the night. Immediately the gentleman asked if he could help. I said my tire feels low. I was asked to pull up so he could check tire pressure. Turns out I had a nail in the rear tire. This guy (Jack) said, let me get that out of there and fix your tire and youll be on your way. Literally 3 minutes later he was finished. I watched him make the repair with the tire on the car. THIS is the kind of service that puts a business above another. I wouldnt go anywhere else for tire/brake needs.

Exceptional service! We were moving cross-country with kids, two vehicles, and a travel trailer during record heat. We had some concerns about our trailer tires making thr trip so called Hillside to see if they could get us in for a new set of tires. They ordered the tires we requested from their local warehouse within a few hours, called us to come in, and we were in and out with our new tires in less than an hour. We were so glad we went to this shop. Go to these guys. You wont be sorry!

You wanna get your car all tuned up but not get taken for a ride? Hillside is the place. Friendly and helpful service. Top notch mechanics. No attempts to sell you something you dont need. To the contrary, even if you come in thinking you need something replaced, they will tell if there is a more cost effective way to get the same result. And the guy that does inspections, Rod, is best in the valley. You cant beat the people that work at this Hillside. Period. End of story. I went in earlier this morning to check out tire prices. The crew in there were such dolls. Absolutely the sweetest service Ive had. They didnt try and pull one over on me either!They didnt have the tires my car needed in stock but they ordered them in from the factory I assumed it would take a few days, nope! Only took hours! They called me as soon as the tires came in. I went back and it was smooth as butter, gave me an estimated time and it wasnt wrong! I ended up buying the crew cookies with how much I loved them all here.Keep up the amazing work!

I’m brand new to town so these guys had no business to take me on word.I came in for a flat fix for a tire I had bought from a corporate Goodyear in Texas without my proof of purchase and they honored the road hazard warranty anyway. Listening to conversations with other customers I couldn’t describe what I heard as anything but honest and sincere. Over priced, do not go here they will rip you off. I’m not from the area and stopped in to get a brake job. Guy must have seen dollar signs because I ended up paying double what the next brake shop would have charged. Call around, guarantee you can get it done more affordable somewhere else

My family and I have gone to this Hillside for a very long time. I have taken my car to this location whenever issues arise within my car that I am not equipped to fix myself. Also for the oil changes and tire rotations. I have gone as far as when my car tire blew up on redwood near the 201 freeway, I took it all the way to hillside. The staff has always been great and informative when it came to any questions that I have had as well as explaining the problems that my car has had to me.

I enjoy doing business with them. They are very helpful in helping me understand that which I must to keep my vehicle on the road. And they do good work.Their prices are reasonable and fair. Ive several sets of tires from them and Ive recommended them too my family. And too all those who are in need of car repairs and tires. You will like their work.

I have been having them do maintenance on the 2 Suzuki cars I have owned. I wont take my cars anywhere else. Exceptional customer service and such great care of my cars. They did my oil change about 3 weeks ago and something was wrong with the oil filter and all the oil eventually drained from the engine. I had it towed to them, they told me it may have been their fault and repaired for free. They even washed the engine and watched to see if oil was leaking anywhere else. Thank you Matt for taking care of me and not inflating the problem to cost me more! Love you guys.

We’ve taken our cars here lots over the last 15 years and have found them to be honest, hard-working, and very human. We recommend them highly and have enjoyed doing business with them. Two managers (my husband says look like Nathan Lane and Bruce Willis) are always very good to us and we trust their honest, reasonable recommendations.

The guy up front could be more friendly. But the people in the back the ones that are doing all the work made it more pleasant and the made my visit a short visit because they were in top of it. Fast service.

Its always hard to know who to trust when it comes to auto mechanics but I have grown to trust these guys. They have great service, they do honest work, they work with you, and they had the best price on tires. I needed some new tires recently and everywhere else was charging $950 or more for some SUV 65,000 mile warranty sets but these guys had brand name tires with the same warranty mileage for $400 dollars cheaper. Ive trusted these guys with 4 of my vehicles now and have never had problems. They will continue to get my business as long as they continue there honest service and work.

Ive been going here for years. If a part breaks under warranty, they take care of it. If money is tight, they give me a priority list so that I can save up and get my car back on the road as fast as possible.

Took my pickup to Hillside for a leaking AC. expected a compressor replacement or worse. The problem was the 2 charging ports that look like tire air valves were leaking. They replaced those valves, recharged the AC, and just charged me for the service, and the parts were only a few dollars. They could have sacked me for a $1000. SD

Ive been going to these guys for years and I have never had anything but excellent care and customer service from them! It started when I took my car in to get the brakes checked as a lone 18 year old girl when they checked them and told me they were fine for now and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Since then my whole family has started taking cars there and none of us have been disappointed.

Hillside Tire has been the best place for me to take my cars for tires and repairs. We moved to the Hunter area 4 years ago and found they gave us the best price on tires and would even match the price I found at Big O. They diagnose my problems and give me an estimate of the repairs before starting the work as I requested. The service time is what I like best as they tell me the time I can pick it up and will call me with any delays in that time. They are one of the best in the Valley that is for sure!

Fair and honest pricing and service

These guys are thieves, they will say or do anything (in the nicest possible way) to try and make you spend more money for stuff you dont need. They failed my truck on inspection trying to sell me new ball joints when they were just fine. On another occasion they had one of my companys fleet vehicles that needed a new a new battery and replaced the alternator as well saying this was standard practice. Find someone else who wont try and rip you off.

Have always done quality work in a timely manner. Friendly staff. Will call if they have a question. Wont do work you didnt ask for.

I’ve worked and been a customer for years and when I needed to get a flat checked they wanted to charge me $16 when any other hillside location does it for free. Not the place to go if you want to go if your car needs to get serviced, they’ve lost a great loyal customer. I went to Walmart next door and got it done for free. You would think being a competitive tire service that they would treat you better.

These people are dishonest and deceitful. I took a car in for an alignment and when I told them that I needed it done a certain way because the car had been lowered, they told me that I would be charged extra for a custom alignment. They then charged me for cam bolts to set the rear camber but tried to return the car to me with the rear camber completely out of limits. The service representative told me that it was the best they could do and I said no it wasnt. If youre going to charge for a custom setup, then do the custom setup. It was magically perfect an hour later.It was later that I discovered the front end had been setup wrong so I took it back to have them fix it. They again tried to charge me another 120 dollars for a custom alignment. I argued with them and told them that they needed to fix the problem. When they called back an hour later and told me that it was impossible to change the front camber without modifications to the control arms that would cost 400 dollars in labor, I went in and picked my car up. I was told that they had tried everything, including turning the ball joints around. Little did they know I had marked all of the parts and when I got home I confirmed they hadnt done anything but presumably discuss a way to rob me. I just did the alignment myself using a camber gauge and some string, there was plenty of room for adjustment.My advice to you is stay away from this place. They are liars and dishonest. If theyre going to lie to a guy who rebuilt his own suspension, I am sure theyre going to take someone less knowledgeable about cars for all they can.

Love this shop! Ill drive an hour everytime from kamas to go here because they are people you can trust! Plus its close to shops and a couple places to eat if you dont want to sit around and wait for your car.

So dishonest! They told me I needed two control arms replaced, but that I should really just replace all of them at once if I wanted an alignment to stick. At $1300, I got a second opinion. Thank goodness I did, all of my control arms were fine and the squeak I originally went in for went away with new front brakes. Will never go back.

I just want to talk to an owner. I have tried multiple attempts. I will take this post down if Steve or Mike can call me. Until then this is my experience with them. After throwing parts at my car and charging me $700+ On a minor issue, my car drives worse than when it went in. Another family member of mine has gave them over $700$+ and his issue was never resolved and they caused additional problems by slicing a wire. I tried to be calm and deal with other locations to get a resolution and speak with a owner with no result. I left a email through getgephart to talk with owner and nothing? I grew up with mechanics and knew my issue wasn’t that big of deal and now my car is worse than before it was taken in if I knew my car was being taken to a shop I would have went to my own mechanic and instead of getting my car fixed I have worse off vehicle.

My husband has taken his car here for years. I am generally suspicious of mechanics and after we got married I wanted him to start going to our family mechanic. He insisted that this place was good and they have won me over as well. I believe they are honest and theyve never told us there are extra things wrong that we arent expecting. My husbands car has not had to have very many repairs, even at 15 years old.

Great place, I came in for a tire replacement, not only did they do that, the topped of my power steering fluid and put air in all my tires for no extra cost! Wait time was a little long, but other than that a great place for maintenence and repair.

PATHETIC. Went in for a oil change, tire rotation, and brake inspection and was given a 45 min - 1 hour wait time. After and hour and a half of listening to the guys at the front desk continuously gossip about an ex-employee named Chad, I asked what was the status on my car and the guy looked in and then proceeded to say they are almost done and that they are wrapping up. After ANOTHER half hour I got up and noticed my car wasnt even in the shop and then a guy went out to finally pull it in to start working on it. Two hours were wasted there and I left with no work done to my car not to mention the guy lied to my face when I asked about the status of my car.

I was told to come here to here by Michelin tire company to get my tires looked at under warranty. The manager here was the one who helped me and he had a bad attitude and said “why are you here?” He didn’t seem interested in helping me at all. I bet it looked great to the Michelin person I had on the phone with me. I wouldn’t want to be partnered with such a business if I were Michelin, but to each their own. Needless to say I ended up going to a different Michelin dealers store to get helped. If this shop doesn’t want to help their customers even when they have their tire partners backing up the warranty repair... then that reflects poorly on this business! I refuse to go to any of the Hillside tires after this experience, I had friends that came here in the past and they referred me here, and since the Michelin warranty advisor sent me here I had hopes they would be a reasonable shop and company. Not so, don’t bring your car here even if it is just for tires.

I have taken in 2 vehicles to be worked on, and both times (two separate vehicles) they told me my bushings were bad. different times, different vehicles so I got suspicious. I took my vehicles to another mechanic and they said there was nothing wrong. Just to be safe I took my car to a 3rd mechanic and they also said nothing was wrong.It seems like whatever you take your car in for, they also conveniently find a problem with your bushings for a little extra cash on the side.Dishonesty has pushed my business elsewhere.
