Have been going to One Stop for almost 10 years now. Tony and his staff can identify my auto issues and make the repairs right the first time. They know my vehicles history. Unlike going to dealers for service where you have to explain about your vehicle each time to a different service advisor. I like the idea of building a relationship with a small business owner. I give my loyalty to them and in return get quality service back.
Great place. Prompt. Honest and to the point. Thankful. Polite to others that helped me complete my services. Thank you Tony you run a great business with great communication. I will use this business in the future and refer others who I talk to.
This is in regards to your reply to my review yesterday. I did not authorize you to look into anything. I am the one who owns the car and I am the one who left the car with you. I dropped my car off for an inspection and oil change. If my tail lights werent working then you should have told ME that and asked ME how I wanted to proceed. And you didnt. You charged me for your time in which you did NOTHING. Ive already had my lights fixed elsewhere at this point along with an oil change and inspection. My tail lights being out was a FUSE. How a professional garage couldnt catch that is beyond me. The next person i brought it to told me the problem and fixed it within MINUTES. But you just said you didnt know the issue and here you charge me $84. You told my husband you specialize in jeeps and Chryslers...why would I have you work on my Toyota?? I NEVER should have been charged. Taking 6 hours to NOT be able to locate a fuse is probably not a good thing. DO BETTER. I stand by my recent review.
One Stop Auto Service is an excellent local owner operated repair shop.Owner Tony Assumpico expertly analyzes any auto or truck mechanicalissues, explains the problem with the customer and fixes the issuesquickly and at competitive prices to put the customer back on the roadas soon as possible. Tony has been in the auto repair service business formany years and the knowledge and quality of work is always evident in the end result.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. The absolute worst place Ive ever dealt with. I dropped my car off for an inspection and oil change at 10am. By 5pm he had not done ANYTHING and charged me $84. He instead decided to look into why my tail lights werent working and did not once ask me if I personally wanted him to do that. I would not have asked him to do that I would rather have picked my car up and went elsewhere. He charged me for his labor.... What labor? I was basically bullied into paying the $ or I wouldnt have gotten my keys back. Then he misplaced my registration too so while I was fuming he had to search for where he put it and the young guy working there said did you put it in the wrong car? This place is beyond terrible, unprofessional and rude. He said I was lucky he only charged me as much as he did because he charges $117/hr for his time. This place should have been closed a long time ago. Ill be sure to steer everyone clear from this place. He had a vile attitude and as a small business owner myself, I wish I never chose to support this place.
Tony runs an upstanding business: he thoroughly inspects your vehicle, supports service recommendations with video enhancements (!), and offers different price options for service when possible. Put your trust in Tony!
Tony at One Stop Auto Service is a great guy... Hes honest, reliable and professional... Thank you! Jessica
This is an unsafe shop for women. Ladies, DO NOT go there.I will preface this with saying that I worked in an auto shop for 3 years. I am no stranger to how a shop runs.I called Monday and made an appointment for Thursday for a simple oil change and emissions test. When I arrived Thursday I was greeted by Tony. Tony was aggressive and rude, he stated he did not have an appointment for me. I told him who I had talked to and that I really needed my emissions done. Instead of handling it professionally and talking with me about what he could do for me (and taking up the communication breakdown with his coworker who had scheduled the appointment) he began to yell at me. I should have left then but tried to be flexible against my better judgement. I let him know that I had other cars so I was fine with my car being kept until noon the following day to which he said he could do.The following day (today) I called to ask when my car would be ready. Tony answered and was once again aggressive. He began to yell at me stating that I couldnt expect my car to be done in ten minutes The vehicle had been with him near 24 hours at the time of the call. I attempted to explain to him that I was going out of town and needed to pick my car up before I left. Tony cut me off several times and escalated from yelling to screaming at me for being a rude customer. I asked him what work had been done with the assumption that I would pay for what was done, pick up my car, and deal with the rest when I returned to town. Tony lied to me and stated he had begun work. When I pressed him for information on what work was done he said he had pulled it in but nothing else. He then hung up on me.Tony called me after a few minutes and stated that if he could keep the car over the weekend he could have it done on Monday. I did not feel comfortable with this but felt stuck. I agreed and told him I understood the stresses of a shop but that he also needed to listen to his customers and not cut them off when theyre trying to communicate their needs. Tony asked me to bring in my spare license plate.I took a man with me to drop off my plates. Tonys attitude was completely different when I had a male present. He did not yell, at first. I was still feeling uncomfortable so I asked him what work, if any, had been done. He became visibly angry but kept his temper (something he did not do when I was on my own) He lied and said he started work but when pressed for information on what work so I could pay for it and leave, he said he had checked the lights. I respectfully asked him to return my keys and stated I would rather go to another shop because I wasnt feeling comfortable. Tony would not return my car keys to me until I had asked 3 times, the whole time he was trying to tell me that I was a terrible customer, he only handed the keys over when the man with me started to step towards the counter to intervene. As I left I wished him luck, and he yelled after me that I was horrible. I dont want to think how he would have acted if I had gone on my own again.Update to the owners response:1. I scheduled an appointment on Monday, the man I spoke to was named either Donny, Dean, or something along those lines.2. I never insisted you stop other work, I asked you to get the work I had scheduled done within a reasonable amount of time (a full day for a job that takes less than an hour is reasonable and you had promised it would be done) I also expect to be treated with even the slightest bit of respect when working with a shop.3. I have not lied about anything, I have audio recordings of our phone conversation (when you began to get so aggressive I asked my fiancé to record because I felt threatened) and our interaction was audio recorded when I came into your shop the second time showing myself being polite and you not handing over the keys. Would you rather I publically post these recordings? Because they really wont look good for you. Maybe you should stop trying to gaslight and lie. Instead, take responsibility for poor customer service.
GREAT SHOP TO DO BUSSINESS WITH.
Highly recommend this place! Tony is a very pleasurable person and very honest when it comes to what you need done for your vehicle without over charging your pocket. Great service and will be back again :)
I was referred to One Stop Auto Service by a friend and I must say I was completely satisfied with the work I had done. Tony is honest and reliable. Tony and his mechanic are awesome and I will be returning
HORRIBLE SERVICE. DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE. I CALLED ASKING FOR PRICING AND THEY TOLD ME Im not gonna waste my time, make an appointment and then we can talk. -10000000/10
Cant say enough about the great service Tony has provided on my vehicle. He is an honest, respectful serviceman who truly cares about his clients and the work he performs for them. He is a rare find. Five stars are not high enough to rate him and his services.
Tony is a stand up guy! I had just moved to area and was looking for an honest local mechanic to work on my jeep. I knew my jeep was in tough shape and Ive owned and worked on many of them myself over the years but have no time as of late. Everything Tony has done to the jeep was done right! Very fair prices and always does his best to make sure you are satisfied! He goes out of his way to get me in when I need help and does his best to get it done in the best time possible so you are back on the road. Thank you for everything Tony and I highly recommend you to anyone searching for a top notch fair mechanic!
Gotta say this is an awesome shop. Just needed an oil change, was inexpensive comparing to your commerical fluid change. They outlined my options clearly and everything was transparent (no hidden fees, unannounced service, ect) was very happy with my service and i will for sure be seeing Tony and Chris at One Stop Auto in the future.
Tony was extremely accommodating! My Chevy Traverse had locked up brakes. Knowing it was the sole transport for my 4 kids he had me in and out the same day! The communication was fantastic including an online tool highlighting all issues found upon inspection of the vehicle. Thank you Tony! We will be back.
Went in at 8:30 when they were supposed to open the owner Tony did not show up until 8:45am. I needed a serpentine belt replaced and I did not have the tools to take off the motor mount so i decided to have Tony do it. I had provided the belt. We both agreed it would be about a 1 hour job. He said he could not get to it until later in the day but it would not be a problem mind you I brought the car in at 8:45am and it was only an hour job according to the Chevy book and multiple other sources. 5:45 pm rolls around and I still dont have my car back so I sent him a message as he said he prefers text but no response till 7pm when he tells me it is not done and it will be in the morning. Okay so I wait till 12pm the next day to msg him still nothing finally get a message about 2pm telling me its done. I go to pick it up and get the bill $267.00 in labor for the one hour job and a $24.95 charge for jumping my battery. We had discussed it being $100-$150 the most and that was including an oil change. So when all was said and done it cost me $309.00 for an oil change and belt repair and I provided the belt. Unless you are broke down in front of this shop I would find somewhere else. When I told him the bill was very high and double of what we talked about he said he has more overhead and better tools then most. Most ridiculous response I have ever heard. He knew I was in a bind and took full advantage of me.
Good all around shop, honest and reliable. Reasonably priced and make sure your vehicle is always running safely. I would highly recommend bringing your cars/trucks or anything to one stop auto for all your automotive needs.
I brought my 2006 Audi A6 to Tony about 3 days ago. I had a positive experience with 1 Stop Auto. I felt like Tony put a personal touch on the work he performed on my car. He took the time to explain the process in which he would have to complete in order to fix my car. His communication was on par and I have now found my Auto mechanic that will repair both of my cars. Thanks One Stop!!!
Had brake work done by Tony recently and could not have been more satisfied with the appointment schedule, the outstanding work and mostdefinitely the price. Tony even went the extra mile to order me a rental carbecause my vehicle was to be tied up for a lengthy period of time that day. I have had service done to my vehicles at Tonys One Stop for manyyears and have never experience any issues with service or pricing. Tonyis a multi talented professional mechanic and I highly recommend his services for all automotive needs.
Tony was very helpful when my check engine light was flashing and the only shop I called that would check out my car the same day. I ended up having his shop do the work that was needed to fix my misfiring engine! Great place and people
Very good and quick service. Great prices and wonderful people. Dominic was extremely helpful and thorough 10/10 Would recommend this shop to anyone in need of fixing.
Great honest shop, owner is a very friendly guy and really makes his customers his first priority, fair prices and outstanding work! Took the time to give me the answers I was looking for! Thank you!!
I started using 1 Stop when I moved to RI four years ago and have continuous great service. Tony has been reliable and always took excellent care of my car. I wouldnt trust my vehicle with anyone else.
Wonderful service! Tony was helpful and thorough. I liked getting a detailed report on my car by text will recommendations that were suggested.
Excellent service brought my vehicle in for check up and oil change. Domenick was professional and knowledgeable about the service he was providing. Will definitely go back
Trustworthy
Great service! Defiantly tried to work with me when it came to the after price. I was in a really bad situation at the time and he took the time to understand where I was coming from. My Subaru got into a little mess and my hood got dented, they did an amazing job finding the right color and putting it on! That was over a year ago now and my car still looks new. I would recommend giving them a call when it comes to good body work. Not to mention its right off of the highway! Thank you for your good service -E
He is very ignorant
Ive never experienced anything like this. I make an appointment for an inspection based on HIS availability. He wants me to drop off the car in the morning anytime after 9. I show up for the appointment, and he tells me to leave the car and *maybe* hell get to this afternoon because he has other cars that got stuck on the lift. So Im supposed to leave my car there all day long for something that takes 45 minutes without even a guarantee that you are going to be able to look at it? I mean in his mind the world must 100% revolve around him. To hell with the fact the state gives me 5 days to get an inspection done and I planned on this today, and now WHILE IM IN FRONT OF HIM FOR MY APPOINTMENT he suggests I reschedule. Because in a world that revolves around him, I have an ENTIRE DIFFERENT DAY to be without my car for something that takes 45 minutes. My hunch tells me this guy got other business in there that made him more than a measly state inspection. Either way, awful business practices and AWFUL attitude when I said Ill just bring it somewhere else. Its a shame too, because I live 1/4 mile away and was hoping I could trust this place for my car needs in the future. What a complete waste of time.
Good quick service. Nice prices. My go to
Friendly services, good prices.... Will be back.In looking at the few bad reviews, it did not keep me away nor should you. When one expects something for free but doesnt get it, chances are you will have a bad experience... I DID NOT HAVE ONE. ILL BE BACK.
One Stop Automotive did a great job on my Honda Accord at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend One Stop Automotive
Avoid at all costs. Went in for a routine oil change and wasnt even given their advertised price according to the overabundance of signage. Then roped me into paying $70 for a diagnostic test I did not need and that they will do for you at places like Auto Zone for NO CHARGE! Beyond that I was advised I needed over a $1000.00 in repairs that I did not need. I think they try to get you for advertising an oil change for like $24.99 - tell you that price doesnt apply to your vehicle and then get every dime they can out of you. I dont think they care about repeat business. The owner told me they had been in business for 30 years- I would think they wouldnt need all the gaudy signage and sales gimmicks! Lesson learned- $100 oil change. Never again.
Tony at One Stop worked on my trucks brake system and he completed the job on-time and within quote he gave me. I have also had One Stop patch up some tires quick and easy service. Now Tony at one stop services my fleet vehicle.
In the years weve lived here (20+), Tony has ALWAYS been there: diagnosing, repairing, staying late when a car is needed ASAP, going out of his way to help in any way he can. Wed be lost without him ... and wed be walking.
Excellent service will 100% come back to this shop.
“One Stop”?Should be “Don’t Stop” !!!!Where do I start? Last fall we had a new exhaust system put in, because he said it needed it, from front to back, but from the day we picked it up, it seemed louder then it should be, and hung about 6 inches lower then it should, so my wife took her car right back, and told Tony, he said “that’s the way that car is”, she was upset, but learned to deal with it, well, we waited a while, and I made an appointment to have an oil change, and have it looked at, and he simply said “it’s just an adjustment”, but after looking at it, he said he had to keep it for the day, and replace a broken hanger, that he didn’t find when he hung it all in place, but when we picked it up, he said he helped us out, by fixing it him self, because the wronghanger was delivered, but yet, it was like that when he first did the work,he also found a very severe oil leak coming from the rear valve cover gasket, which was flowing oil, and is a serious fire hazard, and would cost around $600 to fix, even though, no oil smell was ever noticed, and no spot or stain on the ground was ever found, he really pressured me in to letting him fix the that was flowing out of the engine, and, well, disappearing from sight, now although the exhaust problem was solved, however, it now had an annoying little knock, so, he took it back in, and said the alternator was going, even though it was perfect when AAA put in a battery 3 weeks prior, (which is now leaking, according to his multi point inspection, which after looking at it, described both old and new problems) is going to seize and break the belt, oh, but he took it back in, and said the lower control arm bushings are gone, is serious, and the steering could be lost, and should be done right away. His mechanic also told my wife that the original rear struts (that were replaced 15 months ago) were bad, and causing the noise. When at first you diagnose and terrorize, try try again, I guess this is why he preferred to primally deal with my wife, she’ll panic, and get me to agree to any repair that keepsher safe. Oh, I had the front end checked out by the best front end place I know of, and, no surprise, he said the front end is as solid as new, and, wow, there is no drip, drop or trace of oil any where under, behind, or around the engine or chassis. I have to say, Tony at One Stop was great at getting our car in quickly, but he was even quicker to diagnose as many things wrong as he could, to charge as much as he could. We were so happy to find a small, local place we could trust to bring our cars, and I have never written such an openly cautionary review, but I have to look out for the good people around here, even at the risk of having Tony contact me, and tell me “I only gets 5 stars across the board reviews”, and that I should change or remove any other review, as he sternly to do yesterday. He was right about the car having a few years on it, but “A car of this age” doesn’t give him just cause for inflating and free flowing quotes and estimates, or to scare a woman, hoping that panic will pay off.
Great service with a smile and reasonable pricing!
Great Job fixing my car! Saved me a bunch of $$ too....will definitely go back !
My girlfriend took her 1999 Ford POS to a random mechanic in Rhode Island to get it inspected and it happened to be One Stop. This guy took advantage of her expertly. Its gonna need about $1200 in work to pass inspection... Long story short, he found new things wrong with the car after every time she took it in and $2500 in (to a $1800 KBB value car) I put a stop to his shenanigans. Here are a few of the highlights of this scammer, in no order. He wrote out Labor Cost but not in units (hours), just a random (high) number with a dollar sign next to it.Replaced a rear brake bulb and a plate bulb... $40 and $30 labor respectively...How many dollars does it take to screw in two lightbulbs? It turns out the punchline is 70.Replaced two struts, buying the quick fix type ($200) that take 30 minutes a piece to put in, rather than the normal type ($60) that take an hour or so... charged her $320 in labor... but what is labor per hour? Who knows... $320 an hour Im guessing. Of course, he didnt offer her an option, just bought them and installed them then held her car hostage until she came up with $750 when she was expecting $350 bill...Replaced two tie rods... one of the replacements was a used stock 1999 Ford POS tie rod otherwise known as the old tie-rod...Anyway... hes a shady mechanic, but he is truly expert at bilking single moms out of money he knows they literally dont have, so if youre into that sort of stuff you should check him out.
About 10 years ago, my 1988 Jeep truck, stalled in front of the place. I asked for help, they said they helped me, they charged me, and I paid them. But I had to go to a different mechanic, to fix the same issue that I asked this person for help. So, be cautious of this place.
Best car wash, easily accessible and close to Highway!!
Kept the car all day, didnt fix it and ask for $75diagnosis, stay away
If you need an auto repair or a service in one stop then “one stop auto repair and services” will get your services done in one actual stop!!!
Tony is my guy. Might be a little more money than others, but I trust that he and his crew do a quality job on my 2004 BMW.
Great service
