I went to Mikes last Saturday and spent 1324.87 on Swarovski Crystal and was told by Mike the owner if I purchased a lot he would take 30% off items that weren’t marked down. When I got home to review items a set of glasses did not have the 30% off promised 🤬 so I paid $ 100 for the set. I would not have purchased them for that price if I would have know he was not going to keep his word!I sent a email and called and his response is below ? Along with proof that I received no discount on the item??? It’s bad when a company lies, doesn’t honer his word ?? Were talking less than 1% hear.I really liked the place but I won’t be back.Mikes responseSusan, 30% off was for all items with no mark down on the tags, glasses were not one of those items. Thank you,
Went for the first time the other day and already want to go back. Beautiful pieces, fair prices, and well kept. Lots of stock and everything is so clean I never once smelled smoke on anything and usually when antiquing you feel dirty after a little while because of dust but not the case here. I spent over an hour looking around and I could have gone back the next day and Id bet Id still find stuff I didnt see before. Ive already recommended this place to all my friends who like shops like this. This is now my new favorite antique shop probably in the state, and especially for furniture. If you are debating going just do it you wont regret it!
This place is incredible I could spend days in there beautiful everything and prices are great going back soon
Pretty decent estate/antique shop in west warwick. There other location that was down the street from the high school was far better. Since they made it into one store its not as great as it once was. I see trying to post in some of the papers with advertisement but its not the same. Sorry guys I gave you a another try, just not the same.
Mikes Estate Services in W. Warwick, RI is the definition of outstanding small business. They are extremely helpful, caring and have wonderful customer services, not to mention have an eclectic variety of items for sale. We LOVE our purchases and will ABSOLUTELY be going back!
The wife and I spent over $6,000 dollars at this shop. We were told by the owner, Mike, that he only purchases furnishings that are in excellent condition. A few days after we received our furniture we noticed that a few of the pieces had significant damage. One item, a full size bed, has a long crack along the headboard where the side rail attaches. This crack impairs the rails ability to securely fasten to the headboard. The second damaged item is another significant crack that has weakened our solid wood coffee table where one of the legs attaches to the table top. Both of these cracks are located in areas that were inconspicuous and difficult to see upon our initial examination of the items. The shops policy is No Returns, All Sales are Final. I thought we were getting a fair deal, but now I know this was not the case. Our full size bed frame cannot be used until the crack is repaired. The cracked support in the coffee table does not render it useless, but it also requires restoration. If we had known about the damage to the two pieces of furniture, then we simply would not have purchased them.Needless to say my wife and I will be satisfying our future furniture needs with a more reputable and accountable furniture business.
I have not purchased much from here but I love visiting at least once or twice a month to see what new items have come in. I love looking at all of the older furniture pieces and any antique pieces I can find. Always an adventure to browse the entire building.
We’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Both buying and selling. They have everything well organized and not too cluttered like many other consignment shops. Well curated. Good prices and often high quality product. Husband and I go all the time and have had numerous finds. People who work there are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Mike came to my familys rescue a little over a year ago. My parents had sold their house and we had very little time to find someone that could clean out the house. I called Mikes and even though it was a tight schedule, he fit us in the day before the closing. They arrived with 2 trucks, and took everything out of the house, including things they knew they couldnt sell, they would just scrap. I was sent a detailed list of all the items that they were going to sell and the prices that they were selling for. For a year now, I have been receiving checks for all the items they have been able to sell!! Mikes Estate Service is a very professional and honest company to do business with. I have been and would recommend this company to any one! Thanks Mike!
Estate Services is well organized, clean, and reasonably priced with a large selection in a huge mill building- a pleasure to shop there - my first place to go for used furniture and other treasures! Just bought 3 items there and very pleased with their service!
I was attempting to sell a bedroom set on my own and found out about Estate Services . Mike bought my furniture for a fair price . His men picked it up in a very timely and professional manner . I will certainly use him again and will be interested is visiting his store.
Exceptional encounter with treasure hunting. This place is concrete trove of old/new distinctive surplus items at unbelievably reasonable prices. Not only open for sales, but will make an offer on what you bring. Free parking.
This is a great place to find good quality used home durable goods and furniture. Many nostalgic items to chose from. Antique tools and classic clothing too! One of the rear windows has wonderful view of river.
Everyone has been very nice and quite helpful. They have a very nice selection of goods. It is one of my favorite places to browse. I have found a number of great deals here. So, dont come here, I dont like to share the treasures I find, just kidding, its a great place.
Ever watch antiques roadshow? Imagine if that show was a store. Highly recommend.
Its amazing to me how someone can run a business such as this and be so organized. Ive been in and out of this business over several years and have seen a lot of similar businesses come and go and these people have been in this business under the same ownership for 20+ years operating 2 locations with the fastest changing inventory Ive ever witnessed. They must be doing something right. 5 stars for sure for Estate Services...Thanks for making shopping so much fun !
Polite staff efficent good service good prices good clearance huge variety of products
Most phenomenal service ever! We were overwhelmed with managing the enormous amount of high quality items left after a family members death. The thought of a yard sale was too much, and it would have been too sad to see the items go. Mikes staff was efficient, and caring. They handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Mike is the most honest businessman I have ever dealt with. It has been over a year since he took the items. After the initial large checks, we are still getting smaller checks as the little items sell. I highly recommend Mikes, both from a professional and personal status.
Any time I need an accent piece this is the first place I think of. I have purchase many pieces from their and do not regret one purchase. I always recommend this place to all my friends and family. Remember if you dont find your item today they may have it the next day. The stock is always changing so make sure you plan a return visit.
Today was my second visit to the store and most likely my last. I had inquired about 2 pieces I was interested in on my first visit, but they were in the back room and the owner said that he was trying to price them and would put them out. Over a month later and I came back thinking he may have priced them. Well they still sat in the same place as the first time I was here. So once again I asked the owner about them. He very rudely said nope I haven’t had time, I have too much furniture to deal with. Well I guess you lost out on a customer with that rude ass attitude.
A great place to treasure hunt anytime. The owner Mike, is helpful, knowledgeable, honest and fair. The stores variety is endless, deco, shabby, beautiful antiques and vintage clothes. Prices are fair and drop every 30 days.Well laid out store on the lovely Pawtuxet River. Once you visit it will bea regular stop!
This is the go-to shopping experience in West Warwick. From furniture, antiques, and household goods to shipping boxes, jewelry, and linens, theres something for everyone. Its cool in the summer and toasty in the winter. Id be very surprised if you dont walk out with a purchase.
Mikes is a hidden gem in the West Warwick area. They have a large array of items ranging from mid century modern to modern day items. They are constantly getting in new items and there prices are very reasonable compared to any antique store. The owner is quite knowlegable of the items in the store and never makes you feel obligated to purchase while browsing through the store. I highly recommend the drive, if you are not from the area.
Large selection. It occupies a ground floor of an old factory. Friendly service. Something for everybody.
Very Clean, spacious, huge and Bright! Reasonable Prices!! Must see!!!!
Great People! Full of antiques and consignments. Great deals too. You spend an entire day browsing all the great merchandise. Best consignment shop in RI
A great resource if you live in Rhode Island and need furniture.
We had a great experience with this company after we had sold our house last June. They were most helpful to us in taking and selling our surplus stuff as we went thru the process of downsizing. We found them quite efficient and courteous then and over the past six months. They are also a good place to buy quality used stuff.
A very high score on maintaining the organization of merchandise by category. Also the pricing of newer merchandise is fair ~ except for the new tool set you can get at Job Lot for 3.00. Mikes has it for 8.00.A low score on prices of older items. Their pricers must surf ebay researching the asking, not selling prices. Typically there is a big difference. The prices on most of Mikes vintage items are inflated, and are not included in their markdown schedule. Even some flawed pieces have a net price. Thats why some of their older clothes, smalls, linens dont move. Same stock month after month. The last time we were in, the two clerks didnt even acknowledge our presence. A friendly greeting would be appreciated. I despise clerks following me around but being totally ignored is bad business.
This place is awesome! If there is something that you need for a new place or just looking for odd pieces to add to your décor this is the place! My friend used them when her Aunt passed away and the service was second to none!
The good : I find little nostalgic presents for myself weekly and my apartment is slowly turning into my childhood home. When I moved in the summer I was able to buy shelving, kitchen items, a loveseat, etc for my new place without going completely broke. The first time I came here the tags were explained to me so I understood the markdowns. The bad : The repairs are a bit shoddy on items and are cheaply done, some items when they get to 30% off are magically back to regular price with new markdown prices if the employees are the consignors (they watch the tags and make new ones for their items), some stuff is overpriced for the condition and have heard harsh language used in reference to people who leave bad yelp reviews.
Huge selection of all kinds of stuff. Priced very reasonable.
Great finds, from antiques, vintage furniture, old toys, collectibles, glassware, dishes, art, jewelry, dishes, fabrics, etc. Items are always changing here. Worth a visit!
Lots of antiques! Something for everyone!
Is like going back in time reasonable prices great finds
Could spend hours browsing in there, everything is organized so well, tons of merchandise, no pressure, friendly staff always on hand if you have a question, GREAT place for high quality treasures!
I love this place,!!! They keep you going back...
Great selection of antiques in all price ranges.
Great stuff. Fun to visit.
Good stuff, reasonable prices, nice friendly staff
Good prices and lots of stuff!
I like it but... It is high priced but worth going in once in a while.
Very rude people
