I dont know how Half Price Books does it, but every single one of their stores I visit has the gosh darn nicest employees! Always eager to help, always eager to talk about books or any other media. I never feel rushed, I never feel like Im bothering them. And of course the selection is amazing, and the prices are excellent. Half Price will always get my business for used books!

I really like it here. They have a good selection of books, board games, and other stuff. Ive been able to find some childhood favorites of mine here on several occasions and pop in every now and then to find more. The staff is nice, most of the stuff is organized well, and there really isnt anything wrong with this place. Recommended to find some good old books on the cheap.
I went here tonight and as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a beautiful person behind the counter complimenting my rainbow colored dress. They had on a gray hoodie with a blond buzz cut. I swear I have never seen anyone so cute in my life. If anyone knows them please tell them they are cute. This is a wonderful store and I highly recommend :)

I attempted to reserve my daughters book online from my phone and got as far as putting my information in for the reservation. There wasnt a way to submit the reservation. Perhaps it was because I didnt have an account. Either way, I went into my local branch and suddenly felt like I was looking for a needle in a haystack. Technically I was; it was a very tiny book lol. I was greeted by an extremely helpful gentleman who took me right to the book within seconds of walking in. It was so easy I had time to find my beginner reader a couple new books.

I often call them before making the drive over there to see if they have a particular book in stock. I know it’s hard to convey this, but somehow I can always tell on the other side of the phone that they are being genuinely friendly and aren’t trying to rush getting off the phone. They always answer my questions kindly and then offer to put the book on hold for me so I can drive over there shortly thereafter and pick it up. They’re friendly in person too, of course, but their customer service over the phone really stands out as great to me. It is appreciated!

Honestly what isnt there to love about a half price books? Ive never had any issues finding a book there, typically Im not hunting a certain thing. The staff are always super helpful they greet everybody as they come through the door. When it comes to buy backs of course its a little low but being as it is I think its fair enough. However I dont think that they have a very good system when it comes to books that arent selling or books that theyre not going to keep as they do dump them in the dumpster. Theres plenty of parking it is located in a shopping center. Its located near the Panera and the Petco. Pricing is extremely Fair and very affordable. Overall the the story is very clean and the bathroom is clean. I would definitely recommend this for anybody in the market for second-hand books.
First time at this location. Brought some books in and had a fairly quick transaction. Browsed what looked like a good variety of new and used well priced books. Cant wait to come back. Read a book everyone.
Its a thing with our family now. All of us love books, so when were out of town, we look for used book stores.Were very excited to see new ones and this one was no different.We were excited to find it. It was clean and very well organized. The staff was friendly and didnt mind that we were asking lots of questions.Our favorite sections: young adult, collectors corner, James Patterson, music sheets and Opera.We left with new book we found and books weve been looking for.We highly recommend this store. If youre in the area, go in and check them out, you will always find something! 🥰

Buying books here is very nice I got some very good deals. On the other hand I sold about thirty or more books and was offered 6.79 for them. I saw multiple books on the shelves that matched the ones I sold and one was 12$ alone. I also sold almost a complete set of Roald Dahl books. Along with a Harry Potter spell book that was hardcover and brand new. I think it is a rip off when it comes to selling books here.
It gives you the feeling of an old book store. There are chairs and easy to find sections for any media want. It is a place of finding the weirdest or coolest Nik knaks ever. You can relax and take some self time. I always love coming here and so do my kids.

Offered me $2.98 for 5 books that had retail value of more than $70. Took my books back, don’t know why they need your drivers license prior to giving you a cheap offer. Very poor customer service, will not go there again.

I wouldnt call it half priced. The price is more like normal to 20% off. Rating based on price and selection is a 3/5. The extra star was given for the clearance section which is a nice size.

Good place if youre looking for used books and old titles at a fair price but new or popular titles are especially hard to find as they sell quickly.

I love bookstores (and libraries). Half Price Books is a great bookstore, large enough to have a good selection, small enough to easily navigate, and very well organized. Their prices are also more reasonable than a lot of other chains. And I have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and well informed.

Ordered a number of books online for a series. By the time I was ready to read the book in question it was too late to return it. The book has a chunk ripped out of pages 35-64. This is not what I would consider Good condition.

I thought at least for the 3 shopping bags of hardback fiction, paperbacks, comic books and Doctor Who, humor (Dilbert) and knitting & crocheting materials I brought in Id get a few dollars. Note that I redefined FEW.I received $3.12. Not even Half-Price candy is that cheap. 🙄

Theres always something to find here. Most of my book nowadays are from Half-Price books. It doesnt matter which one you choose, although the one closest to campus is the biggest, by far. Im a big fan of their cookbooks and often find some good players manuals here.

Service and availability were great. Only issue was on ordering online versus pickup items. Shipping is high if order online and prices were very low, but when I went to pickup my items versus ordering i find the prices are higher on each item.

Half-price has been a favorite of mine and my husbands since the 1990s. Love the amazing selection, plus the ability to sell used books/movies/music to help update my personal library.My visit to the Gahanna location was the first time in at least a decade.Helpful staff, awesome selection of vintage books (some with authors signature), and relaxing atmosphere.Will go back. Only reason for 4 stars, instead of 5... Wish they had locations closer to me.
Horrible!!! I had not sold things there for a really long time and I absolutely never will again! I had 9 brand new factory sealed games into other items and they offered me $3! Then they had one person cashing people out and there were about 7 people in line! I will never ever go there again!

Definitely my favorite bookstore! The only downside is you never know exactly what theyll have, since they rely on donations/customers selling to them. They have a huge selection of mystery and true crime books which are my favorite genre by far. Reasonable prices and friendly staff!
I love Half Price Books. The Westerville store is a bit smaller than some of their others but still worth a visit as you never know what youll find. Great staff, especially Corey who always has a smile for everyone.

A serious treasure trove of books at stellar prices. Their stock is constantly rotating, come back often if you cant find what youre looking for. Staff has always been kind and friendly, and will point you in the right direction or give you a recommendation. A great place to find baby and kids books at steep discounts.
This is a very clean and well-organized new and used bookstore. The new section is limited to popular new best sellers which is fine for me, Im looking for deals on used I want to read. They have a variety of stock in every subject. Their clearance section is well put together and not trashed like some can be. The prices are very reasonable, and the people who work there are very nice and know their stock. They buy back your books, but you wont get huge amounts, so dont expect it. They have a nice selection of CDs, vinyl and puzzles, calendars, etc, too. After youre finished theres plenty of great food nearby. Its a fine place to buy some great used titles.
Its like a treasure hunt!Ordered books and they arrived WEDNESDAY right when they said they would. Store Hours are good. I was so excited to find Mans Search for Meaning by Victor Frankle. Yea, you can order books online, but theres something about scanning the shelves and finding a few good finds. AND THE FEEL OF PAPER BETWEEN YOUR FINGERS AND IN YOUR HAND. They have cute shirts as well. Wish they were five dollars and if buy them all.
