By far the best hot and sour soup in the city. Its the only Chinese restaurant that I have ever asked for a bowl instead of a cup.. You wont be dissatisfied!

Very flavorful and authentic.Spent a lot of time in Asia.Been gone for 10 years and nice to come back to Columbus to a place that is still reliable.

Probably the worst Chinese Ive had in Columbus. There was nothing horrifically wrong but the food was just not good... At all. Chicken was VERY hard and rubbery. Sauces are super salty with little additional flavor. Pot sticker sauce was super salty soy sauce. Fried rice was hard and tasted of salt. Overall not good at all, highly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

Young man at counter was very polite and helpful. Food just not as good as it used to be - sauces were runny and not a lot of taste. Asked for extra extra hot on one dish and my 8 year old could have eaten it.

I experienced an instance of racial profiling at the Ming Flower Chinese Restaurant. I placed a pick-up order for the restaurant today, 8/1/21. When I arrived and was parking, there was what seemed to be an African-American man wearing a green t-shirt and shorts that went in to pick up, presumably, a Doordash order. As he was walking out with his order, I, an African-American man wearing a gray polo and jeans, went in to pick up my order. As I am familiar with this restaurant, I went to the table where the orders are left and picked up my order. As I went back out to my car and put my seatbelt on, a worker of the restaurant came out to my car to accuse me of taking multiple orders. When I politely explained to him that I was picking up my Doordash order, he stated Oh, Im sorry. I confused you with somebody else. Disregarding the fact that the other gentleman and I were dressed completely different, I felt so incredibly disrespected by being accused of taking multiple orders simply because I shared the same race/ethnicity as someone else who had just walked in. Suffice to say, I absolutely will not be ordering from this establishment ever again.

Seems like quality is going down hill. Pad Thai was not great this time, seemed to be missing something had to cilantro or lemon or lime and no green onion just chunks of white onion and very fishy tasting. Everything else was good but lacking on beef pad Thai.

Many years ago we were here for Ming Flowers Grand-Opening. We moved away for many years. When we returned tonight to Ming Flower it was reminiscent of why we came here then... The food and friendly staff. We missed seeing Andrew and were told its because he has retired.I had Hot and Sour soup and an Egg Roll with Mongolian Trio and Steamed Rice for my entre.Delicious!

If you want a traditional Chinese cuisine taste order of a Chinese menu ( that one have a Chinese dialog name dont worry it have English words to explain what you are order)and enjoy the taste of China.

Ordered lettuce wraps....the lettuce was brown and wilted and the chicken was unseasoned..I will never order again....TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

We go here quite often for the last 15 yrs or so and had only 2 bad experiences. One server complained about her tip but we waited on drink refills forever multiple times. As a server you get tip for your service and if you don’t earn your tip you shouldn’t expect it. Second time our food was blend no salt or flavor. But decided to go give it a try and food was excellent.

I am wondering if this place changed ownership. Things have changed quite a bit. Their normally homemade duck sauce (which is worth its weight in gold) is now something out of a jar. Their normally thin sliced cabbage egg rolls are not the same. Bug chunks of cabbage and much harder to eat)chew. Not the same. I have ordered the Wor Sue Gai 2x now and every time its been undercooked and chewy. I think we all know that undercooked chicken is pretty gross. I know times have been tough in the restaurant biz but a simple coat of paint would really make a difference and it isnt expensive. I feel like they stopped trying and Im sad because this was my #1 favorite Chinese food restaurant. 😪

Lots of fond memories! Ive never been IN the restaurant but ate take out for years. Our Admin Assistant loved it and would take orders and pick them up for us on Chinese Fridays! Still as good as ever!

Ribs here are just incredible, everything is good but dont skip the ribs!

Cannot say enough great things about this place! Food is amazing, very authentic and fresh. None of that out of a can or box Chinese food. The service was just as great. My daughter ordered Szechuan chicken and it was a little spicy. They offered to bring her a whole new dish with the spicy sauce. Couldn’t believe this, never had this type of service before. Highly recommend! Food is great!

Never place an order online. Apparently the server or host has to manually check for those orders and he does not do his job.I placed an order at 1 o’clock and it said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I came to pick it up at 1:40 being sure to give ample time. When I got there the host informed me that I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes as they never placed my order. After further questioning he admitted that he never placed the order, even through I had received confirmation. I asked to speak to a manager but there was no manager present and I was told they could do nothing. He refunded my money but refused to give me any other form of compensation for my time being wasted.I will never go back and I really hope that you choose to eat elsewhere as well

Delicious, quick service. A little bit of a long drive, but well worth it. I have been searching for Wor Sue Gai with an orange sauce for some time. Found it!

Best Chinese food in Columbus!

When the order is actually correct, which is next to never, it’s not awful. The food is also usually cold. I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Wow! Portions were HUGE, and the food was delicious. Chicken Pad Thai was a bit on the spicy side but the Sesame Chicken was one of the best Asian dishes Ive ever had. Prices were comparable, but given the portions, they were inexpensive. Service was also on point. Glad I found this place!!!

Food was good, service was good, restroom clean. About $15.00 per, but alot of food.

Super fast and friendly, I call my orders ahead and run in and pick them up and theyre ready to go. The prices have increased slightly since Ive originally gone there, but I guess that happens when restaurants become popular.

Best chinese youll have in Columbus. Hands down. Been there forever and still doing very well as far as I can tell, will always go there for chinese when Im in Columbus.

The chicken and broccoli is not that good but everything else tasted good.

Ive gotten Chinese in a lot of places and this was among the worst Ive had. Their sweet and sour sauce (for eggrolls) is horrid and runny. The fried rice is not real fried rice but rather white rice soaked in soysauce and fried, it appears. Nothing like real fried rice with the egg etc in it. I had Wor Sue Gui and the sauce was something unlike normal Wor Sue Gai sauce. There are a lot of good ratings on here so maybe I hit a bad day

Pretty good compared to some other places

I went to Ming Flower 20 years ago as a kid and I remember it being pretty good. I went back again today, I did not have the same experience. The place looks exactly the same. Old chairs, old pictures on the walls, bathrooms were dirty, everything looks like it’s had maintenance for 20 years, when in reality it’s needs completely overhauled. With the food, the chicken was too rubbery, everything tasted slimy and dull. We got the check as soon as we got the food, we left and went somewhere else. It doesn’t bring me pleasure to give this place bad reviews, I liked the staff, in a way I liked the older feel to it, but this place needs to change. It’s been 20 years. More quality would bring more business.

Clean facility friendly servers. Food was excellent, plentiful and value priced. Lettuce wraps (4) were huge, delicious and hot (a meal for $6.95). Decor is original and some minor repairs needed. I will go back..soon.

Ming Flower has the best Gen Tso chicken Ive ever had! They have delicious Hot & Sour soup as well. The food is always prepared fresh and hot, and the portions are always large. I just wish their fried rice had veggies in it. The prices are definitely cheap as well

Water tasted like it was out of the sink. Chicken reminded me of popcorn chicken covered in sauce. There was small portion of rice for a giant bowl of chicken. Just didn’t hit my chinese craving.

Ive been eating at Mings Flower since 1998. I love the wor sue gai!

They have a great lunch menu, many different options. We have never had a bad meal. They are quick and efficient. The food it is always good and very tasty. Size portions are good. We drive over a half hour to go to lunch there. It is in a little strip mall is a little hard to see but it is definitely worth going there.

I absolutely love this place.1st time out after quarantine and so glad we came here. Great service and the food was amazing! We will be back

Ive been eating here for 20 years. The best lunch specials, authentic Chinese food and amazing eggs rolls... and General Tsos too for some American Chinese food.

I used to go here as a little girl with my grandma because she lived right down the street. It was always a fun thing to do since the rest of my family didn’t really like Chinese food too much. But her and I did so we would make it something special. I remember this being the first Chinese restaurant I had ever been to as a little girl so I always liked the food and have no problem with it. I do find it weird however when you go and eat inside the restaurant now, you likely will see nobody else there too. Like, you won’t see customers there eating too. It’s kind of awkward because why would people not come to this restaurant when it’s been there for so long? I’ve never had any problems with the food but it’s nothing special either. I feel like it is basic Chinese cuisine and there’s nothing wrong with that. My partner was really weirded out when there was absolutely nobody in there eating with us in a regular dinner hour so that really put them off and I’m not sure that I’ll go back there with him but I would definitely go back myself. I do some delivery services as well and I do a lot of carry out orders from this restaurant. Because I do so many pick ups as well maybe it’s not the food that people aren’t that interested in but maybe it’s the decor. It is a very large room where you eat and then there’s also a little bar area separated that you can sit at. Employees are usually sitting at that bar waiting for work to be done or you to walk in the door. Employees have always been really nice. When you’re eating in the dining room, sometimes the employees are sitting at the complete other side of the room at a table. When it’s an empty room and an employee is all the way across the room, they could hear your whole conversation and it did feel really awkward. I’m not sure if this is helpful at all kind of just ranting at this point. In conclusion I think the food is good, they do a lot of takeout orders but eating inside is not popular and does feel awkward sometimes.

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I never write these things but felt like it was necessary as I can’t even finish my food. The soup was cold, the egg roll was cold, and to top it all off I’m positive that my sesame chicken was just nuked in the microwave for a quick 10 minutes. WORST CHINESE FOOD EVER.

Really good place, especially for lunch! They have very reasonably priced lunch specials, and the food is delicious!Be careful of the spicy mustard for your egg roles. A small drop goes a long way!.They offer hot tea, and its pretty good as well.

First off food was delicious! Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Service was top notch. My husband loved the Chicken Pad Thai! Prices are great. We will be back.

The Vegetarian options are amazing. We had the Szechuan Eggplant and Green beans. The were delicious. Service was fast and nice! Definitely must try. My hubby didn’t like the friend rice too much, it lacked flavor but everything else was good

Very friendly people with great food and service

The restuarant restaurant itself could use a fresh coat of paint, a new bench, and some carpet that wasnt yanked out of a 60s era hotel lobby. The food was ok. The chicken itself was good and definitely a better quality than Im used to at Chinese restaurants, the sauce however was poorly prepared relied heavily on soy sauce.

We have been going here for over 20 years however over the last couple months it has gone down hill. We made a take out order and was asked to charge $7.96 for duck sauce and sweet and sour sauce that usually comes with the meal. Also had a horrible dine in experience. Not sure if there is a new owner but I would avoid at this point. Really wish I didn’t have to make this review.

A decent spot with great nourishment. Exceptionally deferential to everyone.They serve soup, crunchy noodles, and your request crisp and all around cooked.

When you walk I to a Chinese restaurant, and its full of smiling happy Chinese people, you know its going to be great. That indicator did not disappoint today. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch. Excellent experience.

Guys, its cheap so ky expectations were not high. But it was bad guys. The staff was nice, no issues there. Just the lowest of quality meats and sauces. And, there do everything is a different way. I wish this were a good thing. There are too many options in this area guys. Skip it.

I just ordered General Tso’s and there was no sauce at all on my chicken. Probably the worst I had ever had. Wonton Soup wasn’t even hot!!!! My daughter beef and broccoli had no flavor first time trying this place and will be the last...

I occasionally eat there with a group. We eat at 7 different restaurants on a rotating schedule. In the past, we also ate at four others. This is one of the three best out of the 11 Asian restaurants. We get a little more food at Ming Flower than at eight of the others, and the food is also better quality than at those eight other Asian restaurants.

Always a favorite I drive across town to get Chinese here... been coming for over 20 years now.

Quality food at affordable prices. We have been coming here for 22 years and the only negative to our experience is having a server that does not understand English or speak it at all. Otherwise, all delicious food.

Entrees were meh. We asked for low spice, and got that but also recieved low flavor. Chicken was a tad pink. Apps (rangoons and dumplings) were pretty good.

Delightful old school Chinese restaurant with delicious food, good portions, and great prices. Egg rolls arrive with small saucers of mustard and duck sauce. Hot and sour soup pulls no punches, peppery and sour and perfect on this cold grey day. The General Tsos chicken was amazing with big solid chunks of white meat, battered and fried and smothered in that magical tangy sauce. Dining room is clean but simple, maybe a little out dated but it adds to the classic experience. They appear to do a bustling takeout business, which doesnt surprise me with this quality at these prices. I wish I lived close enough to order delivery!

Great Chinese restaurant. Been in the area for at least 15-20 years and still good.I used to go to it once a week when I lived about a mile away ~15 years ago. Recently rediscovered it and the taste is still delicious and very affordable. While the chains like molly wu and pf changs have raised their prices significantly imo over the same time period, and decreased quality, ming flower hasnt. Plus they give a discount (I think its 10%) for carryout. Nice location near the polaris mall and worth it. Enjoy!

Took my dad there for his 80th birthday. He said to me, Son, you know when you are in a great Chinese restaurant? When there are a lot of Chinese people there! Clearly we were in the minority. Generous portions for the price.

My family & I have eaten here for many years (my 1st time was as a child)! Today we went & what an awful experience!!!! The server brought our soda & you could tell in the coloring it was out (it tasted awful), the wonton soup I received had a hair sticking out of it & when I pulled the hair it was all the way through the wonton & never came out, my child ordered no veggies in her food & the server was not listening & it was full of veggies, the chicken was also awful my son couldnt eat it! The management when discussed acted as if they could careless, there were loud screaming/ crying kids @ the bar (their family I am guessing) & the server never apologized! My bill was still normal & yes I paid, but I will not be back!!!!
