Oh my gosh.. i’m so happy with the work i had done at express alterations. first of all, i dropped my dress off with 4 weeks to go before my wedding, and it took them 3 weeks to complete it. they were so good with working with my time frame and i could tell they do this with everyone. hannah did SO much work to my dress and i actually didn’t even realize how perfect my dress could look after alterations. i had an initial fitting when i dropped it off, and then two more after that. it was a pretty complicated dress due to the multiple different patterns going on with the lace, but she listened and made changes exactly how i wanted. the biggest one was removing the bra pads(small chested) and removing the material to shrink down the whole area, and the difference was amazing. i had also gained weight because i had this dress before covid, wedding was cancelled, and now in the past 1.5 years i’ve gained weight. it was difficult but she was able to let it out just slightly, enough that i could zip it up and walk/breathe in it! fair warning, this place can get busy, and therefore communication is difficult/frustrating at times, BUT Hannah bends over backwards to do what she does and the quality of work makes up for that. she’s that busy for a reason! it was well worth it and i’m glad that i chose this shop.

I cannot praise this business enough. They had my husband’s wedding day suit altered in about 24 hours. After seeing how quick and professional they were with him, I pulled my wedding dress from an alterations business in Indy that had my dress for over five months and didn’t have it done. At Express Alterations, Hannah did such a FANTASTIC job on my wedding dress. All the employees here were welcoming, kind, and did such great quality work. She double-checked what all I wanted done, took notes, and even drew up and pointed out each spot to be altered on the dress. It was such a better experience for me and she made me look and feel like a million bucks. I am so thankful Express Alterations got me in with about four weeks to go until my wedding - they really saved the day and made me feel like a bride. We are so thrilled with their work and will be taking all future alterations needs to them.

Great service! Needed a dress altered last minute- the owner waited for me to get there to drop it off (5 mins past their closing time) and they worked with me and had it done within 2 days. Friendly & professional

I took my wedding dress here after a disaster happened with a local seamstress I was using. I bought my dress back in late December and had it taken immediately to be altered. I got my dress back a month and a half before my wedding and it was awful. The seamstress refused to see the issues with her work. I called Express Alterations and went in and they had my gown pinned all up and they noticed all of the mistakes immediately without me pointing them out. I went in a couple weeks ago and the dress looked great. There were a few minor things to be fixed and I just picked my dress up today from them three days before my wedding. I am so thankful they truly were express. They got me in and done just in time and saved the day. They are quick and responsive. They get the job done. They got it right on my second fitting. I’m told some women have three or four fittings so I would say this is a job well done. Keep in mind it is really busy on certain days of the week at certain times. I also lost some weight and I had a few dresses that I really loved I took one in for them to tailor and they did a wonderful job. They do amazing work and theyre QUICK!! I brought an expensive bridesmaid dress here after reading all the positive reviews on them and they deserve theyre 5 star reviews. I spoke w the nice girl who usually manages the front desk and also miss Hanna who altered my dress. Both women were quick and efficient. I couldnt have asked for a better experience with local seamstresses.

I purchased a formal gown for my son’s wedding but it was sleeveless, and I really wanted it to have sleeves. The dress came with a scarf and Hannah was able to create sleeves for me that enhance the dress beautifully using the material of the scarf. Bell helped in the design of the sleeves, and she does a wonderful job of offering great customer service. Great experience all around. I highly recommend them!

In 2019, I got a bridesmaids dress altered, and they did an amazing job! I got the hem and bust altered, and it was able to fit it the dress for the wedding! Now in 2021, I got a prom dress altered, and the service was great. The workers are really nice, so I definitely recommend this place.

Hannah was wonderful! I have had a few dresses altered here over the period of our engagement. She transformed my mother’s long sleeve wedding dress from 36 years ago into a sleeveless design for my big day. A dream come true. Affordable and extremely easy to work with. She created the dress exactly as I imagined and added the detailing on the back by taking lace from the sleeves. Super happy with the turn out!

Very fast and dependable. Came in from out of town to get 2 pair of pants done and they had them done in less than a hour. Will definitely use them again when im back in Town.

Let me tell you what. Hannah is literally the best alterations for anything and everything. I ride saddle seat and she works on my day coats and equitation outfits. It is unbelievable work she can do anything I want to it let in an let out. Her dresses are the best quality and she does it herself. She is amazing!!!! Will never leave her!!!

This place keeps getting brought up to me and I figured Im not going to let them slide without a bad review, so here we go. 2 years ago, my mom got her dressed altered for my wedding. She paid before she picked up the dress. When she went back in to pick up the dress, they accused her of not paying and loudly told her that she wouldnt receive her dress until she paid. My mom had to pull up her freaking bank statement to show them that she had paid for the alterations. Mind you, there were other customers in the store at the time and when they were making a huge scene. Very upsetting, very rude and unprofessional. Their mistake for not having some sort of process to mark the dress paid. I wont go here ever. I recommend you dont either.

They fixed my fiancees waist trainer griddle thing, I accidentally dried it by mistake and three hooks broke off. They opened at 9am and it was fixed 30 mins later. Thanks, Express for A job well done.

They were able to get me in and out so quickly. I had a pair of jean shorts that were about 3 sizes too big and had to be taken in quite a bit. I dropped them off on Tuesday and by Friday they were the perfect size and only cost me $20 to have tailored. So happy and will definitely be going back in the future.

Walked into this alteration place for the first time and was welcomed immediately. Ashley in particular was a pleasure over the phone and when I came in she knew instantly who I was and what we were doing to the jeans I brought in. She was even courteous enough to work with my schedule as to what day to have them ready to go. Very clean & polished store as well. Will be coming back any time I need to get any other clothing work done.

Took in 4 pair of sweatpants and got elastic put in the cuff. They did an amazing job and quicker than I was told. Very satisfied

Pepper was able to alter my dressFor the Renaissance Faire in just a day in a half.I am a super busy person and went last minute and they had it done in time the day before. I had bought the dress and it was too large and I had lost weight on top of that. They can do any costume alterations and they had to end up taking in 8 inches. I highly recommend her for alterations, just an amazing job! Impressed!!!!!

They were really kind and understanding when I said I had a time limit and I was leaving the country as well as being on a very cheap $10 budget. The people here are amazing! I had a bridesmaids dress that needed alterations with a week before said wedding. Dropped it off on a Saturday and they rushed to have everything altered and was done by Thursday. They were able to do everything I asked for which was keeping the original scalloped end portion of the dress. It looks even better than I could imagine and recommend highly. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

They are really great with my suits. Drive cross town when they waa on the West side. Then when I move in Lawrence I found out she had a Grand opening up North save me gas money. Was even better with my suits and very reasonable.
