Eric did a full COA on my flute and piccolo and they both came back sounding unbelievably better than when I sent them off. I tragically dropped my flute on the ground and I needed it back ASAP for an audition. He fit it into his schedule and turned it around in a week. I am so happy with the work done on both of my instruments. I also really appreciate the student discount. I had been putting off a COA on my flute because my budget was pretty tight, but the student discount helped significantly. I highly recommend Erics shop!

Inpyo did an astounding job with my flute overhaul. To say its in like-new condition is an understatement. After a Straubinger pad conversion and Inpyos thoughtful tweaks, its playing better than it ever has. In addition to excellent quality and sound advice, Inpyo was wonderful to work with.

The Flute Whisperer did an excellent job with my 35-year-old flute, which my daughter now uses! When we got it back it looked and sounded like new. He was very informative and responsive when we were questioning whether it was worth repairing, and got the job done within the promised timeframe so she could bring it back to college with her. I can’t say enough about Eric Hung! My daughter’s flute developed problems just before her college audition recordings were due. When I contacted him he told me he would work on it immediately and I got it back the next day. All this happened on Thanksgiving weekend and he didn’t hestitate to help. The flute sounds great!! He was professional, sympathetic to our problem, so accommodating and courteous. It was incredible to get his level of service on such short notice. Eric you’re the best!!

The Flute Whisperer is very prompt to respond to messages, answers and explains any questions thoroughly, and does high quality work. He kept us informed as he worked on the flutes, and the flutes were completed in a timely manner. We had two flutes serviced. They both returned in excellent condition; they both play better than I have ever had a flute do so. I have had four different flutes.

The flute I sent in was in bad shape, virtually unplayable, but that same flute was sent back to me in perfect condition, like a brand new flute, which now plays and sounds amazing. Very reasonable price and very professional. I would definitely use this service again.

Brought my intermediate flute to be checked on before my college auditions. Inpyo Hong was friendly and very knowledgeable about the flute. He noticed little things that were wrong with it right away. When I got my flute back, it played beautifully and he even fixed my case, (which was allowing my flute to bump around and could’ve led to problems). I definitely recommended his services!

Eric has overhauled 3 of my flutes. The first flute he overhauled for me was my Armstrong Hertitage with a damaged tone hole. I was. so impressed with the work he did. A year later I sent him my Artley Wilkins. He did great work on that flute, too. I sent him my Haynes 3 weeks ago for an overhaul with JS black gold pads. I got my flute back a few days ago. Very nice work. I have 8 flutes. I’m sure I’ll be sending him more to get overhauled. I used to repair flutes so I know quality repairs when I see it.

Eric is a wonderful technician. I worked with him at Burkart some years ago and I know his work well - always willing to work until everything is just as it should be. He just finished a COA on my flute that had really not been played for about 7 years and he did a wonderful job. I will definitely be using him from now on and I heartily recommend him to anyone who needs a flute/picc tech!!
