Been using Moonlight since they opened and Ill always go from now on - even though I live in Eldersburg. Chad is extremely knowledgeable and explains things well. The rest of the guys there are also very customer friendly and experienced. The office and shop are well kept and professional. Prices are very honest and affordable. Always feel comfortable leaving my car there because I know Ill get it back better than I left it.
Moonlight Automotive has never disappointed! Friendly people, excellent service, family oriented, wont break the bank! I highly recommend taking you car into Chad & the boys!
Great Service, always happy to help with any questions you might have regarding your car and they don’t cut any corners and the work is done correctly the first time, highly recommended.
I had the dealership look at my van because there was a banging and a jerk when it shifted gears. The dealership wanted $600 to replace a bad motor mount. My wife took the van to Moonlight Auto, they had it in the shop for 2 hours. They said there was nothing wrong with the motor mount and the problem was a loose bolt on my drive axle. The banging was gone, the way it drove was so much better. They didnt charge us a dime for tightening the loose bolt. I was able to use the $600 I saved to buy tires and an oil change from them instead. Great experience!
At first was very pleased with the apparent work and service. Chad the owner seemed in the beginning to be professional and honest however after spending thousands of dollars with Moonlight automotive Chad REFUSED WARRANTY COVERAGE for his poor workmanship. I had Chad replace the engine, had the cylinder head machined/overhauled/installed on the replacement engine, a refurbished 5 speed tranny installed, and had to have TWO clutches installed within approx. 5500 miles. (I paid for both clutches) as I gave Chad and his business Moonlight Automotive the bennefit of the doubt. The newly machined head had one cylinder out of 4 wich would only hold 33 psi. Chad refused to look at it or fix under their 1 year 12,000 mile warranty which was printed on my PAID INVOICE. I had to spend another $1000 (and my time) at another shop to replace the faulty cylinderhead that Chad installed and supposedly had overhauled as well as my 2nd clutch installed by Chad in less than 5500 miles now slips after a measly 1,500 miles or so. Its a second car so its now been sitting waiting untill I can afford to have a new clutch properly installed. I spent over $5000 easily with Chad & Moonlight Automotive to have Chad turn around and refuse warranty coverage on the engine, head, transmission and two clutches he installed and of which I paid hard earned money for. I found Chad after I spent my money with him to be unethical and fraudulent. I have the cylinder head to prove the bad cylinder as it was removed by a competent shop and retained by me and a car now sitting over a year with a SLIPPING brand new clutch (the 2nd bad clutch installed by Chad) The head and clutch should have lasted well beyond 100k miles yet failed in less than 5,500mi. I gave Chad the opportunity to do the right thing and was patient about doing so yet he said take a hike and refused to warranty his what turned out to be lousy and unprofessional work. Chad is very happy to take your business and money and very happy to REFUSE THEIR POSTED 12,000 mile 1 year warranty for TWO FAILED Clutch installs and FAILED CYLINDER HEAD of which he was entrusted to overhaul. I spent easily 9 or 10 thousand dollars total for the project between parts and his $5000+/- labor to only be left with a car I cant use and money already spent. Thanks Chad very much for your lack of ethics and arrogance, its called fraud!! and your customers deserve to know how you treat customers AFTER they spend their money with you and need you to follow up, follow through and fix a problem under your POSTED warranty!!
I saved $100 on labor by going there, called few places in Reisterstown, they all wanted that much more. Also, very pleasant people to deal with, as well as the sweet pit bull that they have there, so my cane corso liked waitnig for the car there, too:)
