Great repair service and lessons. My son 15 year old son has been taking guitar lessons here for almost a year and I’m amazed at how far he has come. His guitar needed a couple of minor repairs or adjustments and they did it quickly at no charge.

Great location and staff. I had to change strings on my guitar for the first time and Sean was extremely helpful. He took the time to explain the difference between strings and gave me a few pointers. I changed my strings myself and my guitar sounds great! (Even though I dont yet, lol.) Thanks Sean!

Im visiting southern California and was interested in auditioning a Dark Glass Alpha-Omicron bass drive pedal for an upcoming recording session. I contacted the Sam Ash store in Westminster, CA hoping to trial the pedal if one was available. The sales associate I spoke to was Scott Shaw. He informed me that they did not have one in stock and would be unable to have one shipped in without a committed sale, but did endorse the quality of the pedal based on his personal experience as an owner. Happily, the day after our conversation he brought in his personal pedal board, set me up with a good amplifier in the store, and allowed me to audition his pedal. His going above and beyond sealed the deal and I purchased the device. All the while, he was very helpful and friendly. I say you have an excellent employee in Scott Shaw. Thank you.

Theresa was able to find a method book that I felt was very suitable.She is a lovely young lady and I had the pleasure of getting acquainted with her. I learned that she plays French Horn and I would like to hire her for a recording session.For my guitar needs I always see Sean Reilly since we go back a few years. Lane is also an old friend and solved a small issue in the drum department when he was on duty. I ordered a keyboard from Sam Ash last Spring. Due to Covid, there were long delays in its availability. They were good about letting me know what had happened to my order and why it was taking so long.When I mentioned that my old keyboard had died and how much I missed being able to play during lock down, they referred me to someone who was able to fix it. Later, when I received the new keyboard, I found its complexity overwhelming, and returned it. Will, the manager, listened patiently to my tale of woe, asked if he could help me find something simpler and then graciously, refunded the entire purchase price.

Thanks for selling my stolen Yamaha BBP-34 bass. After I found it on google search, already sold, I was basically told sorry not our fault.Beach Blvd pawnshops and even this retailer frequently buy and sell stolen property. This Sam Ash store was the 3rd one that had what was left of my music gear after I was burglarized in Dec 2020 from Public Storage Irvine (avoid those guys too)Yall could have atleast offered me a replacement at cost. I dont feel bad for these reviews, because I dont have my basses, guitars, keyboards, interface, pa, etc. Its all gone bc some homeless addicts needed to get their crank

Went to see if they had Roland piano FP-90x but they dont have it yet. Many manufactures are behind. Sam Ash had some home digital pianos and their keyboard room had a few Yamaha and Rolands. No weighted controller keyboard.

I just want to call out Justin Jones @ Westminster for being so amazing and helpful when the electronics in my Nord Stage 3 keyboard broke. It was used, I had bought it online from Sam Ash. When I brought it in, Justin was super helpful and replaced it with a brand new Nord flown from New York. Apparently it was the only one in the entire system. I was blown away, Justin made the whole transaction easy and the exchange smooth. Excellent customer service. Huge thank you!

A good place to have, repair, and maintenance music instruments.

The store hasnt changed much in years. Is that a good thing? Depends how you look at it, they have the true blue standards, a few premium and a few budget items in each department. I do miss the days of discussing choices before making a decision but luckily i did my research first. You wont find a bunch of surprises, but youll find what you need and a few levels of options.

My son and I drove over 40 miles to visit this location of Sam Ash. The store is large, clean, and well stocked. The employees are friendly and helpful without being pushy. We inevitably purchase something every time we visit, and this time was no different. I highly recommend Sam Ash in general and their Westminster location in particular

Cool store. Had an issue with a used amp they sold me but I had no problems getting a refund. The guitar tech is awesome.

Bought a gorgeous guitar via the net & it was all it was advertised to be.The staff at Sam Ash was great. No hassle purchase. However after a week of so with it the guitar and I were just not meshing as I had hoped. Not the fault of anybody it just didnt work for me.I returned it to Sam Ash ( a different store than where it was purchased) and they handled the return quickly. The $ was credited to my account in less than 24 hours. Great interaction all the way around. Only disappointment was the guitar and I just didnt work out. Thanks to Sam Ash for making this whole thing easy.

Never had a bad experience with anyone over here. Whether i was looking for lessons when i was younger, general equipment, or some really specific little piece they had to special order for me, they’ve always hooked it up.

Sam Ash in Westminster, CA is a fun place to shop and check out guitars, etc. Austin waited on me twice! He is very helpful and seems to enjoy his work. Awesome guitars and accessories. Whatever price range you need, they have it!

Its a great big beautiful store. Great layout. But as a newcomer to wanting to record my own voice work; I was overwhelmed. I asked where certain items were and a sales rep helped me locate them and told me what the best selling mic stand was, without asking what I was trying to do or what my needs might be. I asked about other items and he did the same thing. Ive sold things in the past and I know how to steer customers but you cant do that successfully if you have not qualified them i.e. determined what needs they are trying to satisfy. Say hello, take a second to introduce yourself, then focus on the client, make them as least think you care if they get what they want. Its simple stuff. Theyve got the stock but it wouldnt surprise me if it didnt move as well as they would like.

Its really nice to go into a place to buy musical instruments and be able to see them physically. Also its nice to have somebody right there in front of you to ask questions to and they are knowledgeable and give good answers. I like getting my guitar strings here when I need them they are there and I dont need to wait a day for delivery. Also, when I am walking through theres always something I realize that I want to get. Its a pretty big store and it has sections for drummers and guitarists and keyboards and I saw a section in the back where it looks like they may do recordings but Im not sure if they do it this time

Ive been going to the store in Westminster since the Cerritos store closed. The people there are always pleasant. Ive never had an issue with customer service.Ive taken my sons student alto saxophone for service. Theres never been a problem. I just purchased another alto saxophone. Im sure to have the same great customer service and experience for many years to come.

They gave me Good amount for my Cornet that I Loved for so many years.. This is a really Good place to go to if your looking to pass on your musical instrument that your no longer using and want to get money for it, but know that its not going into the trash after Sam Ash buys it from you. What they do to it is Fix-It Disinfected and then they put it on display for some kid from High School Band could buy it.😁

They just happened to have one last piano in stock that I was looking for, and I came to pick up same day. Justin also helped me place an order for piano accessories and was very transparent about potential delays due to COVID-19. Overall, they were excellent on their safety protocols. Highly recommend.

Sam Ashs a awesome place to check out some musical accoutrements. Very helpful and very knowledgeable. They have big selection of a lot of things. Its nice to go into a physical store sometimes to really check out the product Especially when something youre going to be using a lot of or if youre going to be recording or playing live. I saw that if they have a recording studio in the building, but Im not sure if its available during these times

I love this place. Every time I come in, the people are helpful and knowledgeable. Was in the market for a 5pc kit, and I thought I had it picked out, and he said to take my time deciding. Eventually went with a Gretsch Catalina maple and so glad I did. Went back to buy a pack of cymbals, and he said to take my time and find the sound I want. I started with the hihat first, and they even had me bring the cymbals in later to match the sound for the ride and crash. They really want you to be happy with the purchase. I wont go anywhere else.

On the one hand Sam Ash is comparable to Guitar Center as chain stores go; inside the store I wouldnt be able to tell the difference. I grew up in Hollywood, with hole-in-the-wall music stores (including the original Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd).The staff is helpful, but mostly they leave you alone to look around and see what grabs you. I was at home reaching for my favorite player when I realized there wasnt a single friggen guitar pick in the house! I was so bent on playing that I bolted out the door (my wife said wait for me! She loves music stores) and headed for the nearest music store.Looking around the store on arrival I saw all the usual instruments... then something just grabbed me. The first thing I noticed beyond its apparent beauty was an action so precise I couldnt help but play it. Hardly any time had passed, and I was hopelessly hooked.It was on sale for around half price (such a deal!), and brand new. I hadnt bought a guitar since 1975. Halfway home I realized I hadnt even plugged it in at the store. But that didnt matter. I plugged it into my Deluxe Reverb the moment I got home, and it sounded every bit of how I expected, how Id wanted. Its silky smooth action almost plays itself. Maybe Ill buy another ax one day (in another forty-five years).

I went to trade in some old equipment for new equipment (mainly mixers and mics). Got THE BEST service I have ever gotten because not only did I get a new mixer, the advice I got and instruction on how to use and operate my existing mics was priceless. They didn’t just tell me “yeah, buy new mics”. They told me “no, your mics are good, here’s how you can use them to make them sound better”. And as a promotional thing, I got a free purple guitar! I’m blown away every time I visit and it’s just amazing their quality of products and service. Thank you Sam Ash!!!

Is Sam Ashs are right but seriously just go to guitar center in fountain valley its not that much further from wherever youre coming from considering how far they are apart.guitar center fountain valley is probably one of the best music shops there are around for a musical instruments and accessories pro audio and surprisingly for me, drums. I used to go to West coast drum center before they closed over this place but they are so close to being just as good although the drum department is understaffed they have some very knowledgeable people there and speaking of someone whos played drums for over 25 yearson a daily basis I would highly recommend you go there instead and many of the people that work at this Sam Ash dont even play a musical instrument at all, theyre just general employees theres nothing wrong with that but if you need to ask questions theres a big problem.I go here from time to time though because they have things that you cant really get at guitar center or other music shops unless you want to shop online and I want that replace something on my kit

I purchased some new gear and in 5 min. he taught me how to use it! He also shipped a mixing board to me that was not suppose to be at my place for a week and I got it in 2 days! WOW! The warranty he signed me up for is a no nonsense best warranty I have every purchased, you come and get a replacement! BAM! Love this place!The Absolute Best Customer Service In The Industry! Chris & Lloyd are Amazing in every way possible, honest, patient and helpful. I came super late and the store was closing in 4 min. not only did I leave with a great mixer for a show I was doing two hours later but I added the extended warranty that guarantees I will be taken care of. I am a Navy Vet. and I dont make a lot of money so trust is a big issue with me and this is one place you can trust you will be taken care of. I was never rushed and treated like I was a VIP. Super knowledgeable and friendly employees at the Westminster location. Its not the closest music store to me, but I dont mind travelling the extra distance due to the great folks that work there. Plus they have a good stock of the newest and coolest guitars there, every time I visit they always have some cool Fender and Squier offsets.

The boys had their first guitar lessons today and they loved it!! Sam Ash is a music store that takes care of all their customers no matter what age or knowledge of music they have. My sons are 11 and they just started guitar lessons and when they got done they were happy and cant wait to return to learn more.
