This is the best place for all my craft needs. Michaels has help with the purchases I need to run my small businesses.

East of town locale on U.S route 1 (Post road east), the main east/west route through town, on the Southport side of Westport. Easy-on-easy-off from exit 19 of interstate 95 (Connecticut turnpike). This is in a very busy shopping plaza so peak hours are a little difficult to get in and out of the lot.

I very rarely write a review but this store has the WORST customer service. Just really unacceptable. It is clear that the young people working there are not trained in acceptable ways to communicate with customers - or even what customer service looks like. Perhaps they are just hiring anyone who applies but the lack of training is definitely ruining the store. I wont spent my money here any longer. Just totally unacceptable.

Extremely neat and very clean. The manager has the best personality, professional yet very friendly. Ill definitely be returning to this store.

The store is a great resource for crafters. Prices are reasonable and there is a discount program for regular customers. There is a variety of material for most projects. The order online and pickup at store service is helpful too. Like many American chain stores, you need to help yourself. The staff do their best but the store is understaffed.

Dont try to order a gift from them for someone local if you live outside the US. Their web site insists that you enter the State on your credit card bill and it must match your Zip code. Big surprise, there is more to the world than just the US! I called support, am supposed to give my name, telephone number and email address, just to speak with someone. And consent to them audio taping the call is assumed. I explain to the woman answering and then get transfered to a supervisor and wait for more than 10 minutes until I someone answers to let me know that they are not able to take money from international customers. Its called PayPal, people. But hey, if you dont want my money, fine.

I use Michaels for framing mostly. They are super nice here, and they do a great job. Their prices are also generally competitive. I buy a lot of premade frames and they usually have a sale so its a pretty good deal as well, so if youre looking to get something framed then this is a good option.

Only giving this store 3 stars because of customer service. I had called this store to ask if they could let me know if an item was available in stores and a lady responded so rudely saying that they dont do that and whatever is on the website should be my answer. I told her that I have previously ordered online to later on receive a phone call stating that they dont have that item. It takes the workers in the Stamford location less than a minute to look up an item whenever I give them a call and the workers here in Westport should be a little more nicer. Surely, it did take this lady less than a minute to look up the item I called in for.

Wide variety but nothing is priced!

Got yelled at for not wearing a mask even though I stated I have heath issues. Whats even funnier is both employees were wearing their masks under their mouth... not doing anything.

Michaels sells more toys and seasonal decor then they do craft supplies. They yarn department has shrunk to half the size. Very disappointed.

Limited baking items. But amazing store! Cant go in without coming out with something.

Just about everything you need for crafts. Their specials are amazing. Theres usually a 40% or 50% off coupon available and their $2 t-shirt specials are outstanding.

Im not a crafty person and never thought Id be frequenting Michaels. I was wrong. With 3 kids and the need for emergency birthday gifts and due tomorrow school projects, Michaels has become a go-to. They need more staff but the ones they employ are helpful and friendly.

Charlies helped us with our Christmas tree by reboxing the last display tree and carrying it out to our car. He was really nice and a pleasure working with. Thanks Charles (Westport, CT )

I am a professional crafter for many years now so I frequent Michaels alot!!!!They offer a beautiful selection of crafting supplies, like really nice artificial flowers and baskets (huge selection), they offer a fine beading and findings supply, fun books, decorative items that you wouldnt find anywhere else, and they seem to carry items that the other local craft supplier doesnt have. The aisles are easy to maneuver and well laid out. At holiday time, theres nice things for gifts and craft projects, and wonderful holiday decor!!!Make sure to download their app for Michaels coupons and you can order online as well. This is a chain, so they can be found in different states and towns near you. Highly recommended!!!! Fun place to shop!!!!!I love this place!!!!

Didnt have what I needed butvits a great place

An associate in the Trumbull location told me the Westport location had a specific yarn color and brand that I needed, when they did not have it in stock either. Went to Westport location. They did NOT have the color in stock I was told it was likely a clearance item, which are stored in boxes upstairs somewhere. No chance of finding it and I was told to just order it online. Michael’s is my home away from home but only putting out select colors and select times is ridiculous. If I run out halfway through a project (such as now) I can’t even run out and pick more up because maybe on this day, nobody felt like stocking the gray yarn.

Good products, well lighted, friendly service and helpful advice.

Great place for arts and crafts, I found everything I was looking for, the only turn down is that it is a bit pricey. If you are looking for basic stuff, Walmart might be a better idea.

Bri is an amazing teacher for craft classes and fun birthday hostess. Shes very considerate, helpful and knows how to treat customers. Class A customer service with most of their reps in store.

This is a Michaels arts & craft store. They have the framing department there too. Store is vey clean and well stocked.The staff is friendly, knowledge and willing to help.

The poorest quality & selection of silk/dried flowers Ive ever seen in a Michaels store. It may be a Small store but thats no reason to alot it poor or should I say lesser quality silks...a kin to a Dollar Store! Very disappointed!
