Excellent service and fairly priced. Chip and his Uncle are as professional as can be. They took my car in despite not having an appointment and were able to diagnose the issue, fix it and get it back to me within the day despite being very busy.

Was picking some things up from my vehicle that was totaled. Got a chance with me with Chip who was so kind to take the plates off my car. I also had the pleasure of meeting his uncle that doesn’t smile, he’s harmless (lol). I’m from NYC and was on my way to Maine when my tire blew out. I called this auto center and they were extremely friendly and helpful. They checked out my tire and made calls to other tire places and car dealerships to find a tire to match my car. They took great care of me and got me out of there super quick so I could continue on my trip. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Helping the community. I am 25 years old with not the newest and nicest car, its about 20 years old. I live across the street from the repair shop, and its easy for me to Bring my car to this shop. the guys here are friendly and are looking to help. if they know its a minor fix, they arent going to try to make money off of a small rubber tube leak or a screw is loose etc. I would recommend (Westport local)

These guys truly stand behind their work. I went in for a check engine light that kept reappearing on a 2009 Jeep. I had to bring it back after they thought they found the issue the first time. They apologized and said they would make it right. These guys made it their mission to find the problem and fix it, which they did. They are honest hard working mechanics who put their money where their mouth is when they say they stand behind their work.

I recommend these guys 100%. They took great care of me in diagnosing the issue with my vehicle which had serious problems on the highway close by (the differential failed). They did this with no hesitation even though I came in right when they were getting ready to close for the day. I appreciate you guys and once again thank you for your exceptional services.

Westport Auto Repair are, by far, the best car mechanics I have ever worked with: theyre skilled, nice, very fair with their prices and are all about customer service. Don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt the need to do so this time around. My car broke down in the middle of the Post Rd. this afternoon (rush hour traffic). I called the nearest shop, WestPort Auto and spoke to the service manager Chip. He was able to get my car to the shop very quickly, and was extremely knowledgeable about the problems my vehicle was having. Extremely kind, extremely helpful. He was able to get me back up and running in no time. Oh and at a VERY VERY reasonable rate. Highly recommended! I’ll be going back for my oil change in a few months. On 5-2-14 I was traveling from PA to RI at approx. 7:00 PM my vehicle broke down in CT with my two daughters 9 and 12. I called for roadside assistance and they told me that they found a tow service and repair facility called Westport Auto Repair that would be able to work on my car Saturday. The tow truck driver picked up my vehicle and confirmed that he worked for Westport Auto Repair and that they would work on my car Saturday and have it ready to go Saturday afternoon if it was just the water pump but he said if there was something more serious it might take longer to fix. I asked him if there was any way I could get the car on Sunday since I had found a ride to RI and back to CT on Sunday. He said yes and we discussed where to leave the keys. He charged my credit card $231.00. He told me that they would call me Saturday after they determined what was wrong with the car.On Saturday around 2:00 I called Westport Auto Repair because I had NOT received a call. The phone was answered by Frank. He proceeded to tell me that he did not have time to work on my car because his LOCAL customers take priority and he wouldnt be able to get around to my car until Monday or Tuesday. I pleaded with him that I was stranded with two young girls who need to be at school Monday and that my husband was in the hospital. I said I was promised by his employee that my car would be looked at and fixed on Saturday, if it was just the water pump. Frank told me that he really didnt care what I was told. I complained to him that this was horrible customer service. He then started yelling at me and said he really didnt care what his employee said and that even if I paid him $5,000 he was not going to work on my car because he doesnt care about out-of -state service. He then told me he was putting my car in the street! I contacted Chevy roadside assistance and told them where my car was going to be abandoned. Chevy was able contact Frank and tow my car to their service facility and replace the water pump on Monday.The Chevy dealership told me they would have had my car fixed Saturday if it had been towed directly to them.I want potential customers to know about the rude customer service and the immeasurable stress, panic and lack of human compassion that Frank from Westport Auto Repair caused our family.

We have used Westport Auto Repair for everything, from oil changes, suspension repairs, replacing ac compressors, and repairing wiring harnesses. Their prices are reasonable. They are one of the few shops that will install parts provided by customers. Technicians are very knowledgeable. You can frequently get same or next day appointments. I highly recommend them.

I brought my car in for emergency repairs and these guys did an excellent job. They took the time to look beyond the presenting problem and find the root cause, saving me from having the same problem again a few hundred miles later. All within a few hours!

My car broke down on route 7 by the Georgetown area. My roadside assistance send me their phone # after they directly contacted them, looking at their info I figured they should not take long since I was 23 minutes away from their location. At 7:20 pm, 10 after the ETA and 1:10 minutes after I called the roadside assistance, I called them directly and was told to wait 15 to 20 minutes that they were on their way. 20 minutes went by after Ive called, so I called the roadside assistance directly because I had the feeling the guy I have spoken to was going to be rude. He lied to the representative and said the driver was stuck on traffic on route 7 it was about 7:42 and traffic was fairly light on route 7 but I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt maybe they had another issue and did not want to be honest about it. I left my husband with the car to go look for food. Seeing that two hours have gone by, I called the roadside assistance again and told the representative the whole story and explained that the getting stuck in traffic had been a lie because I was actually going towards their location and route 7 was clear. The representative called them while I was on hold and when he came back to the phone told me the guy had said 2 to 3 minutes and hung up on him.My husband and our mechanic managed to move the car to a close location. I supposed they never came, beacuse I did not get a phone call.PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON THEIR SERVICE!!!

Westport Auto Repair has done great work on my Mustang on several occasions. This is a family owned small business and the owner Frank Sr. and his son Franky have extensive knowledge about cars and trucks and operate the company with integrity and precision. I have come to them for everything from blown hose repairs and radiator flushes to more serious engine work. I also had them install an after market performance clutch that they turned around in a day and performs beautifully a year later. If you need auto repairs or towing services, dont hesitate to call on these guys. Highly recommended in Fairfield County.

Charged $160 (cash) to tow my car less than 5 miles. Then quoted me over double for a repair job at their shop. On top of that charged me $100 for the diagnostics to tell me my radiator was bad. How long does it take to see the radiator is bad? I have never been charged more than $20 to diagnose anything. Stay away.

My dad told me about Westport Auto Repair. Nol explained everything about the repair of my car which was overheating and had a dead battery. I thought it was going to wreck my vacation but he found a simple belt and wheel thing to fix it. In a couple of hours I was on the way to NC and car has had 0 issues since. Got stuck in a snowy and wet lawn, I went through my cars roadside assistance, who reached out to these guys, they made me wait 4 hours and cancelled after that due to a flat tire. The worst part is that they didnt even call to let me know, I had to call them. Horribly unprofessional.

Horrible customer service! My son had an accident (2/28) and his car was picked up by Westport Auto and towed to their lot. The day after the insurance adjuster visited the lot we went to pick up some remaining items in the car and remove the license plates. Snow was piled up in the front and back of the car and there was no way we could get to the plates. To make matters worse, the front bumper was off the car (resulting from the accident) and there was a lot of loose metal on the ground in the snow. The attendant at the station was on a cigarette break and really did not want to be bothered. I went up to ask him for a shovel to attempt to uncover and remove the license plates and he was very annoyed but gave me one. After a few minutes of digging and realizing that there were too many pieces of metal packed in the snow I gave up and stated that I was coming back later with my husband. The attendants response was that the car was going to be picked up that day. Immediately after I phoned the insurance company and explained the situation at which point the representative stated that she did not know if she could delay the pickup of the car because they were charging a FORTUNE to store the car on their lot! She then indicated that she would try to arrange for a pickup the following day and that we needed to go back that afternoon. My son and his friend went back 1 1/2 hours later and the car was gone. Called the owner and told him what happened at which point he indicated that we needed to call him ahead of when we were coming to dig the car out! BOTTOM LINE- The attendant knew full well that we needed the license plates from the car before it was towed and did nothing to assist us and then was present when the car was picked up by the salvage company and allowed it to be towed away without getting the plates off the car! The fact that they charge exorbitant rates and expect customers to dig out cars parked on their lot is outrageous. UPDATE! We still dont have the plates and have been chasing the car all over the state! We will NEVER go there for gas, service or emissions AGAIN!

I would like to give 0 star if I could. This is undoubtedly the worst auto repair I ever met!

Roadside chose/ assigned these guys to tow my car. Received a confirmation text that their ETA for pick-up was 11am. They just plain NEVER SHOWED UP. I called them numerous times and was told event thing from the driver is a few minutes away to Ill call the driver and call you right back. Never once received a call back and my car is still in the same place it was yesterday.

These guys are the BEST!

They towed me home then refused to accept credit card even though it is listed on their website, the driver made me go to the bank for cash and then told me he did not have a receipt. I have called them for over a week and they tell me each time they will fax my receipt but they have not and have stopped answering the phone.I am filing a complaint with the IRS as I can only assume they did this and will not claim the income which was $700.I will continue to call and seek every avenue to report them that I can as it is principle now.
