Here’s another 5 stars for you guys. That hazelnut cake was insane! It’s extremely good! I wanted to buy the 12” but they suggested 8” and it was the exactly perfect size for my friends! Thank you so much for the very delicious dark chocolate hazelnut cake. I would definitely buy from you guys again!This is really moist and melts in your mouth type of cake. Price is also excellent! I can’t praise this cake enough to do even a bit justice.

Aside from serving the most delicious and elegant chocolates, Aarti is an incredible human being! My husband and I wanted something special for his dad’s 99th birthday, and we live out of town. Aarti put together a gorgeous display, including a little birthday cake - and hand-delivered to his house the same day! To have an excellent product (yummy chocolate!) combined with extraordinary service is rare. Le Rouge Chocolates is - hands down- the best place!!

A most delightful shop. The owner was kind and didnt mind patiently explaining what the different flavors were. And what flavors! Some favorites we got to sample included rose, saffron pistachio, masala chai, and one of my favorites, guava chile. More traditional french flavors are also available. The owner was incredibly generous in letting us taste a few items before buying. Im pleased that they ship, as these chocolates will make lovely gifts for far away friends. Im looking forward to future visits and would recommend to anyone who has discerning taste.

Long way on the road - short to the heart!Coming from Switzerland we were looking to have a coffee on the way from Boston to New York City. We ended up in a small place with the plan to spend 5 min and some dollars for chocolate and coffee. Well, nice plan... after way more than one hour we left the place with a smile, with a great memory and a friend more... hopefully to meet one day again.

Aarti is exceptional. She had assisted our family previously by designing a wonderful gender reveal cake for our newest grandson. For this occasion, Aarti tailored a beautiful (and delicious!) ganache cake for the marriage of our son. Aarti is personal, engaging, and detail oriented. From start to finish, she wanted to ensure that everyone loved the final product. She takes great care in crafting the perfect creation for each occasion and we will continue to sing her praises (and enlist her help!) with any celebration in the future.

Le Rouge is just an amazing place . Today is my wife’s birthday and I wanted to get her a special cake for her birthday especially during all that we are going through with the pandemic. Aarti is just an amazing chocolatier she was actually closed when we connected and insisted on coming in to make my wife’s cakes and truffles for her birthday. I told she did not have to do that and not to worry, but like I mentioned she insisted on coming In and made her an amazing chocolate ganache cake that was out of this world and the truffles we just as great. We have traveled all over the world and I can definitely tell you we have a slice of one of the finest chocolatier’s right here in our backyard. I was looking for a place that would deliver something exquisite to my Aunt on her Birthday. I chose a marvelous looking cake on line. The person who took my call even helped me maneuver through the website and choose just the right thing. I was assured the delivery person would wear a mask and take every precaution to protecty aunt. She even wrote back and told me how happy Auntie was with her cake. Kudos to Left Rouge! I live in Alabama, ordered a cake, and it was delivered within a couple of hours in Connecticut. Great job!

Le Rouge is amazing! The chocolates are delicious and hand made, using what tastes like only the most amazing ingredients. We love the boozy truffles (Guinness or whisky!), Green Tea Honey chocolates are to die for, and the special occasion cakes are scrumptious. Also my daughter loves the macaroons!

I ordered my first “cake” from Le Rouge for Father’s Day and several June birthdays. It was amazing. Everyone was raving about it. Truly delicious. I typically also shy away from rich chocolate, but it was light and fabulous. I will definitely order again and suggest to others.

I love this little shop. It is small but cozy. Their hot chocolate drinks are my favorite. They offer a lot of unique flavors like white chocolate raspberry and pistachio. Their chocolates are amazing as well! The service was great, they answered all our questions about the different chocolates and helped us decide what drinks paired well with them. I was looking for a special cake for some close friends who were celebrating their 80th birthdays and I came upon Le Rouge Handmade Chocolates & Cakes by Aarti in Westport, CT. Under a long list of products, I found Limited Edition Showpieces and I was stunned by the artistry of the selections. They were literally works of art in chocolate. I called Aarti and she helped me to select two pieces, a Limited Edition Chocolate Diya and a 2015 Limited Edition Chocolate Rangoli. My friends are from India, so I thought that these designs, which one sees at the Diwali Festival in India, would be a special gift that would remind them of their homeland. Aarti suggested the addition of some special truffles, which included some exotic flavors such as chili masala and cayenne. Also included were silver, gold and bronze dusted truffles. Aarti very kindly offered to arrange the chocolates in the finished design so that this would not have to be done after delivery. And she very generously added some extra truffles. Needless to say, these works of chocolate art were the highlight of the birthday celebration. People literally gasped when the boxes were opened. No one had ever seen anything like it and the designs looked like something one might see at an art exhibition. The attached photos show what my friends saw when they opened the boxes. The Diya and Rangoli designs are exquisite.The truffles look luscious. In looking for a special product to honor my treasured friends, I could not have found a better place than Le Rouge.

The staff wasnt wearing gloves and yet was using her hands to grab macarones (and then using those same hands to handle cash and the phone). I wouldnt find that acceptable at the best of times, let alone in the middle of a pandemic. I wont be going there again.

Aarti, herself, is a gem of a chocolatier and “Aartisan”. She responds to chocolate “emergencies” like a true first responder. I have called her emergency line for chocolates and she delivered them beautifully presented and ready to gift.These chocolates are my favorites hands down. Whether the hand rolled truffles (love the champagne and bourbon flavor) or the handcrafted and hand painted chocolates (try green tea or mango), you can’t go wrong.Her chocolate cakes are a decadent treat not to be missed. I am from out of town and was in search of a last-minute cake - last minute because I did not think ahead. Little did I know my quest would result in a lovely conversation with Artie, this shop’s owner, as she finished preparing an amazing chocolate hazelnut ganache cake with swirls of chocolate and a festive 50 and Fabulous message on the cake board to commemorate the weekend I was having with my college girlfriend to celebrate our 50th birthdays. Artie and her staff were so friendly and professional and did not flinch when I burst in searching, pleading for a cake. The cake was amazing, the shop is lovely, and you cannot go wrong by choosing it when you next want something for the sweet tooth.

The chocolate here is amazing. The staff are super helpful. I was unable to make it to the shop before the 5:00 closing time and the staff stayed an extra 10-20 minutes so that i could come make my purchase. Amazing chocolate, amazing staff & amazing service. I highly recommend this shop.

Came here for a chocolate class with a team from work. Class was a ton of fun, you get to learn cooking tips/science behind working with chocolate. Aarti was a great host.Oh, and you get to eat a ton of chocolate. And its delicious. Highly recommend.

So happy we found this very special chocolatier place! Aarti is lovely and her delicious truffles and delicacies are to die for. While its so hard to pick a favorite, mine was the Cayenne Pepper truffle, amazing! We will be back in no time.

Totally by accident, I found an interesting chocolate shop in the middle of Westport CT. I met the owner Aarti, a passionate retail and wholesale chocolatier who is doing interesting things with chocolate. This store is all about the high end chocolate and her unique international flavors. Not particularly inexpensive, but its clear from the product that its definitely worth the price. Highly recommended to all chocoholics!
