I made a booster appt for my 83 yo mom and called 1/2 hour before the appt to ask if they could give it to her outside because she’s in a wheelchair. They denied the request which was understandable, but when she arrived she ended up waiting an hour to get it! Apparently they were way behind schedule but the person I spoke to had not bothered to tell me. She’s diabetic and started getting low blood sugar waiting. I don’t understand why they don’t spread out the appt times if they can’t meet them!
Rarely experienced worse with such frequency. Not sure the name of the pharmacist with the dead eyes and the painted on eyebrows but she has the empathy and manner of a DMV officer - going through the motions with as much passion as one that’s for sure. Other colleagues are way nicer and friendlier.... shame i don’t see them as often. Time for a change.
Front check out service is VERY slow and the self checkout machines don’t have enough space on the counters. Avoid every time you can. Pharmacy is fine!
I do not typically have very strong opinions or reviews of my local stores here in Westport. Given the convenient location and hours, my family has been using this CVS for 10+ years despite poor pharmacy service and relatively high prices. But over the past 2 years this place has gone from being reasonably difficult to a full blown nightmare every time a conversation is required.Between “encouraging self-service” (aka literally not staffing the regular line), an unprofessional pharmacy staff answering calls (one guy is particularly rude), and making it impossible to fill a prescription in less than 3 separate visits, this CVS has made it clear that they don’t care about my family or our business. Call me old fashioned but this isn’t the neighborhood pharmacy I had in mind.We have decided that life is too short to deal with this place. We switched to a smaller local pharmacy and go online for regular CVS stuff. Couldn’t be happier we left.
The store is big and parking is easy. It is the waiting time they need to work on. Maybe add more employees to this location?
Raychel is amazing! she was so kind and professional in assisting me with my purchases. she told me all about cvs carepass and how it would make sense to sign up because it would save me money every month! she was patient and explained all the perks and benefits of carepass and i am super grateful! thank you raychel! i will definitely be returning.
The clerk at register very short red hair, older woman, with glasses was rude and impatient. I visited the store today about 10:15 am. Clerk was very put out because I did not immediately have my CVS card ready. When I could not locate it, she made a disgusted sound. I ended up putting in 2 phone numbers until I got CVS card connection correct. I told her I do t have a CVS near me any more. It took a few extra minutes and she was PUT OUT.I worked at Rite Aid for years. You need to treat customers with respect and give them time. Please re-instruct you clerk on proper respect of others or you business my suffer. She is a poor representation for your store.BH
I dont know if its this location or whether CVS in general is horrible? Every single time I have a negative experience. It should not take 30-45 minutes to pickup a Rx that I was told would be ready hours earlier. Employees are unhappy and complain about low pay and no benefits. People working behind pharmacy counter dont know how to operate the computer. CVS allows you to schedule vaccine appointments online but dont tell you they are out of the vaccine until AFTER you take the risk of entering CVS and waiting a long time in-line. This is all despicable.
I was told to wait 15 min for medication after 1 hour waiting the stuff was rude when I asked how much longer I have to wait. I could just come back in an hour instead waiting in the store.
Pharmacy and front check-out staff all very helpful! Great selection, and the customer flow was handled very efficiently.
At the pharmacy, they often don’t have my medications. I have to go to other cvs pharmacies in neighbouring towns to get them. There is always a long waiting line at the pharmacy. I also made an appointment for a flu shot. I was there in late afternoon the next day only to find out they had run out of the flu vaccines the day prior. They had all day to contact me so I wouldn’t drive there, but they didn’t bother. I have almost always had unpleasant experiences at this pharmacy. The cvs staff is otherwise very helpful.
I wanted to share an experience I had shopping at the Westport CVS last week. I am new to this town and have always shopped at CVS before, but can honestly say have never experienced the type of customer service that they provide. I first spoke with Alyson and then the manager Chris, when I had a challenge with a purchase. Alyson has assisted me before with my questions on a specific need before and she is awesome. They were both extremely helpful and professional. When I came back to the store, the same day I had made the purchase, Alyson spoke to the manager immediately and he came right over to the counter to speak with me. He greeted me with a warm smile and said How can I help you?. I explained what my issue was and he treated me with the utmost respect when I explained what had happened. He looked me in the eye and said, I understand and then accommodated me with a refund. You are very lucky to have such a great manager and staff in your store. I look forward to making future purchases, as well as getting my prescriptions filled, here. Thank you for making my day less stressful.
Scheduled an appt for flu shot. Got a text 45 minutes prior to my appt time saying my vaccine was ready. Arrived on time for my appt and waited in line at the pharmacy only to be told that they ran out of flu shots earlier in the day. They had my email and phone # so had plenty of ways to contact me, but did not bother to attempt to let me know they were out. Total waste of time to drive over and pharmacy staff was not apologetic.
I have been trying unsuccessfully to be refunded for an item that was not included with a delivery of prescription medication. After numerous calls to store manager and pharmacy no one knew what to do. I spoke with a care manager who called the pharmacy in my behalf and asked that I, then call again (for the 13th time!), I did and was disconnected!!!!! It is outrageous!!!!!!
My 13 year old dog has severe collapsing trachea which he requires a twice daily cough suppressant for. I came with my prescription from a very reputable hospital in the area (Cornell University Veterinary Specialists). The extremely rude pharmacist here refused to fill it for me and embarrassed me in front of a line of people claiming that she had no way of checking if the prescription was valid. Even though the prescription clearly states the hospital phone number and all other necessary legal requirements for a valid prescription. I drove straight from here to Costco and they helped me without hesitation and for a cheaper price. I’ll switch all my prescriptions to Costco from now on.
Very nice people and very helpful workers always organized and clean !
Rude front end clerk. (Ashley)I lighten up and smile. Try not to embarrass your customers by talking about the after they leave. You never know if they know the next person in line.
Had an rx sent in. 7 days later still not filled and completely unable to get anyone to pick up the phone here to help me out. Have your prescriptions filled elsewhere.
Ms. Kungal is a wonderful Pharmacy Manager: highly professional, efficient, and very helpful. She takes time to answer quesstions, offer her expert advice on alternative medicines, and provide an overall superior personalized customer care. She always goes above and beyond her call of duty. Also, Greg is a terrific Pharmacist: dedicated, thoughtful, and most attentive. He is a skilled communicator, who never fails to address customer concerns in a constructive and compassionate manner. In addition to his patience, his kind disposition above all contributes greatly to successfully resolving any problem. CVS is fortunate to have an employee of Greg’s caliber.
Ive been on hold to speak to a real person in the pharmacy for a crucial time sensitive, emergency, medication question for over 30 minutes and hung up on twice. This site is clearly over worked and understaffed. If you dont enjoy waiting 30+ minutes to be acknowledged, support a small pharmacy. These giant companies dont care about their staff, their customers or anyone, just profits.Keep in mind, the staff being overworked can cause life threatening medication errors, which I suspect is happening at alarming rates at this location.
Felicia is rude. The pharmacy consistently is unable to fill medications that are only effective with uninterrupted intake. They fail consistently Even with doctors office calling ahead of the renewal date. This pharmacy is not safe.
Found everything easily. Much greater variety than the Walgreens down the street.
Was happy to find a pharmacy that is open until 12 am. Called at 11:40 pm to fill a med over phone (a med that needs to be ordered ASAP) and was told to call the pharmacist tomorrow. Arent you the pharmacist? Yes, I am, but I need to close, and he flat out hung up on me! Impolite way of speaking to a patient. How can they say theyre open until 12 am if they refuse to deal w/patients after 11:30?
After leaving the pharmacy with two prescriptions, upon opening them it was obvious a medication error had been made. I immediately called the pharmacy, and thus far have been on hold for 39:17 minutes. It is now 11:00pm and I know the pharmacy is closed, yet I am prompted to hold on as “someone will assist me momentarily.”I don’t have to guess what happened. I picked up my meds at 10:15 pm I was on the phone with the pharmacy to report the medication error by10:30.The two very tired women in the pharmacy kept me on hold over a half hour so they could close without taking my call.Absolutely outrageous.
Worst ever. Walgreens 100 times better. Switch asap
You might as well call it HealthIdontcare! Probably the worst customer service in the Planet! Please dont use CVS. Not anywhere, especially the Westport location at Compo Plaza. Slow, inefficient, incompetent, rude, unorganized and absolute the meanest and most inconsiderate employees on the planet!!!! Please use Walgreens, Stop & Shop, Unity or any other pharmacy but not CVS.I called the pharmacy and was put on hold for TWENTY EIGHT MINUTES. After 28 minutes a dingbat answered the phone and said, CVS pharmacy can you hold for a minute please?. She never came back to the phone. With a furious rage I drove to the pharmacy and left my cell on with the call still on hold. I arrived at CVS and screamed for a person in charge. Cursing and screaming I expressed my frustrations and all I got was laughter in my face by all the employees behind the counter. When someone calls a pharmacy its because they are sick, ill or in pain. To wait almost a half hour and then put on hold only to be forgotten about is a good reason not to patronize or even think about spending a penny at CVS. I called corporate headquarters and you will not believe what happened. I was put on hold and no representative even bothered to pick up the phone!!!!!Aetna bought CVS so lots of people must use CVS because its s preferred pharmacy. Me, personally, if they were the only pharmacy on earth I rather be dead!!!!!
The pharmacy staff very rude said her name was Shemia. Very curt and not helpful
Got photos printed. Lines running down the prints. You guys actually watch what youre doing?
These guys (and gals) are always nice & friendly, and I appreciate them very much!
The pharmacy in the Westport CVS is open longer than any other pharmacy in town and longer than CVS pharmacies in adjoining towns. The pharmacists treat you like a patient instead of a customer. They know their trade. The retail portion of CVS is clean, modern, sells a variety of mid to high end heath & beaty products, competively priced grocery & home products, and is open 24/7. No other pharmacy in the Westport area provides this level of access and service. I highly recommend this CVS.
Very nice coustumer service but the door alarm that comes on EVERY 2 SECONDS is litteraly deafening. Had to leave a few items behind because i couldnt stand the noise.
Always always always confirm with the pharmacy first if your prescription is ready for pick-up. This pharmacy seems to be losing a lot of Rxs that I sent to it.I will not recommend this branch.
Terrible place. Not enough people working the pharmacy forcing people to wait in line for 45 mins... and the people are rude! Disaster of a place
Why does management allow (or force) pharmacy employees who are sick to work handling drugs? My elderly parents both became very sick after picking up prescriptions there at different times. Both said there was a lot of coughing and sneezing coming from the area where prescriptions were being packaged.
Got billed for the wrong medication, unhelpfull customer support
The nicest people work here
I have never called the pharmacy and been on hold for less than ten minutes. Generally speaking, pharmacists are unhelpful and dismissive.
I had a great experience at the pharmacy here just now where the pharmacists were super helpful with a rather confusing prescription situation. 🙂
The CVS pharmacy is not open 24-hours. It used to be. CVS should update the hours to avoid misleading people and to give customers the information they need to determine when the store and when the pharmacy are open.
Clean and not to busy, but the employees are the the quickest.
Horrible service
Friendly staff. Clean store
