My goal was to rip out my deck and put in a stone patio. Cedar Mountain was very helpful in telling me what I needed to get the job done and also the proper way to get the job completed. They also rented me a machine that allowed me to spread 25 yards of process stone. More importantly I shopped other places in the area and the Cedar Mountain prices were dramatically lower for high quality material. I had a lot of questions and they were very patient with me.

I did a complete lawn renovation last year and had 10 yards of screened topsoil delivered. Service is a 5 star review. They were friendly and accommodating. The reason they get 3 stars is because of the quality of the topsoil. I had so much glass in the soil that my dog cut her paw while walking on it. I’ve never seen soil like that before in my life. If they can improve the quality of soil I would certainly return.

Staff is very helpful. They have a great selection of all kinds of stone. Thus time a bought a couple of boulders.

Very reasonable prices and good selection. Kim was especially helpful. Have been very impressed with delivery - they are quick and have accommodated all of my last minute requests. I recently purchased about 1000 sqft of bluestone. Cedar Mountain beat everyone in the area on price and there was no sacrifice - quality stone, delivered on time, courteous people.

This summer i redid the landscaping on my home. I ordered Top Soil, stone, and Mulch from Cedar Mountain. Each time the staff was amazing and very helpful! Great resource for landscaping and hardscaping supplies.

I ordered some items for pickup later in week and was told it would be on a pallet waiting for me just bring receipt but it wasn’t prepared. A little disappointed that someone couldn’t just call me and tell me come get it as they knew I came out for nothing. In the end I got everything I needed so I changed this review. These days you need to follow up and make sure everything is good w your customers. Just saying

If youre looking for a topsoil delivery in the Cromwell area Cedar Mountain is the place to go. They offer the best price and delivered the topsoil 12 hours after I called them. In order of preference if you have to go elsewhere would be Dirt Guy, and - only if you have to - Plummer Landscaping - who are terrible on the phone. Pinewood & Scoville dont deliver.

If you ever need outdoor supplies for a project or if you simply need a giant mulch delivery then this is your place. Tons of options at a fair price. The only thing you should be aware of is there arent staff around to really answer questions, and the entire area isnt paved. If your OK with driving your car on gravel or dirt the youll be fine. Just dont go right after it rains.

I bought 7 yards of topsoil last fall for raised beds in my garden because I was tired of growing in my garbage clay. I essentially ended up with raised beds filled with my own soil. Instead of being what I was promised (rich loose black top soul, which is what it looked like) this spring it’s just rock hard clay. I mixed in a hell of a lot of perlite and it’s still just a rock. Very disappointed. Will not be purchasing anything from them again.

Ordered 3 yards of hemlock mulch and what was delivered was a pine blend of garbage. Put it down last week and color is fading. Stay away.

They always make a mess on Russel Rd. And the Berlin Turnpike. Dump rocks, mulch, etc. all over the road. You would think they clean up after themselves! Next time I see it I’m going to report it!
