After multiple attempts to give the deck superstore my business, I got frustrated and decided to go another route. I looked on Google, saw good reviews for RMFP, and called the sales line. I was transferred to Ryan Chavez, and suddenly I felt like a customer again. He was quick, responsive, and has a great attitude. I wanted to see the IPE samples, so I stopped by late on a Friday, and Ryan stayed late to help me and my wife purchase some decking for our 600 sq ft deck. I am soooooo happy I made that call. Buy your wood at Lowes or Home Depot, where you can select your own pieces. It will be cheaper as well because damaged wood is sold at a 70% discount at these stores.Here, they pull everything for you. During loading, I noticed that some piece were severely damaged, and they would not pull new wood even though I had purchased premium. I was told to go back in the store, do a return, and then come back out to exchange the wood. For standard wood, they said I had already purchased it, and I had no choice but to take whatever they pulled, no matter how bad it looks. You can also expect to spend over 2 hours waiting in line because they only have two skid loaders running.Almost every 4x4 post they sold was severely damaged and most of the 2x4s as well. I could not attach photos of the worst pieces because I had already covered them with pickets.

In this market right now I thought about just going to Home Depot or Lowe’s to get everything I needed for my fencing needs…… However I ended up calling a few companies to get a couple prices. I ended up connecting with Osbaldo, and it one one of the best experiences I have had in a long time with any type of customer service. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly put the customer first over everything else.I would highly recommend this company and would definitely request to speak to Osbaldo.The prices were very comparable to HD or other big box stores. However the quality was far superior than all other wood that I have seen in stores.You really will not regret at least giving them a call!

I spent $20k here, and a salesman told me what I wanted to hear to make a sale. The cedar that I received was NOTHING like it was described as. They wouldn’t let me trade in my material to a higher grade and pay the difference. Now I am stuck with seven full bundles of fence pickets that I can’t use. This will be the last transaction we have with RMFP. Make sure you put eyes on what you’re buying before you buy it. Pride, trust, and honesty obviously aren’t worth anything with this company. I will gladly take this down if we can work something out.

The staff was really friendly and the service was quick. I also liked when I called for pricing they explained the wood products they use and had a variety of grades to choose from instead of just one.

By far best prices. If you go, ask for Ryan Chavez. I purchased 2100 of 1x6 t&g. Saved 20 cents a foot. Saved me $420. He shoots straight and very helpful. Lumber was beautiful. Also was able to bring back unusable pieces.

I would not recommend them.They may be good for big contractors or regulars, but if you are new to the area, they will sell your materials right out from underneath you... after youve already paid for them. It happened to me two times within two days.I have found several better locations, but I wont list them here because I dont want this review taken down for conflict of interest. Just find a better local vendor. Theyre out there.

Helpful and friendly salespeople. You dont get your pick of the litter like at a big box store but they seem reasonable about swapping out for very bad material though I didnt need to.

I planned a deck replacement project for my daughter and her fiancé at their home in Evergreen. With the ongoing material supply impact from the quarantine, the big box stores could not provide what was needed. I contacted Rocky Mountain Forrest Products and Ryan was able to meet all my needs and delivered the deck boards the day he originally promised. The boards are beautiful with small tight knots. Great product and service. Knowledgeable staff from the front office to the lumber yard. Ryan helped pin down what I needed and got my order processed (he even offered a few install pointers) then John helped load my truck up quickly and efficiently. Couldn’t have gone smoother. I have already ordered from them a couple times and will continue to do so.

I placed an order for some Trex decking with Osbaldo and he told me it would be about 2 weeks for delivery. Well on the day it was supposed to be delivered Osbaldo called me to tell me that they actually picked the wrong decking and did not know when the decking I ordered would come in after initially telling me it should only take a couple of more days than the originally scheduled date which I was ok with. Well a couple of days went by and I hear nothing. Osbaldo constantly forgot to call me back or return my calls which was my biggest frustration. If he was on top of keeping me in the loop and not treating me like I was an after thought I probably wouldnt be leaving this review, which I rarely do. I understand that mistakes happen but transparency and communication is very important to me and if you cant do that well then I have a big problem with the way you do business. Needless to say I had Osbaldo refund my money (which HE had suggested instead of trying to find a solution that suited us both, it was almost as if he preferred to lose the business and not be a good salesman). Luckily I was able to find someone cheaper who had plenty of the decking I needed in stock. I wish I went there in the first place.

This place was great. Darius was more than helpful when I called to ask questions. The product was top notch. Fence pickets were at least a quarter inch thicker than ones you would find at a large home improvement store. Pick up was easy and everything was loaded professionally into the back of my pick up with no issues. Highly recommend RMFP to everyone!

Im a professional subcontractor and two of the contractors I do work for have asked me to never order materials from RMFP ever again. One indecent they sold me materials from their trashed returns (completely unusable) after I waited for delivery of new stock (refused to acknowledge or make good on it) and the previous time we special ordered rough sawn materials (and were charged accordingly) and they delivered standard dimensional stock and when they were called back for an explanation they tried to explain to me that it WAS in fact rough sawn. (Like Im ignorant and dont know any better after 30 years of work in the trade) They later replaced it with rough sawn and admitted their mistake but after the attempt to insult our intelligence.LEAST PROFESSIONAL lumberyard Ive worked with in all the years Ive done this.

They shorted us 18 pickets.When we contacted our sales guy Darius he told me to bring my original white receipt. When I showed up another male asked me to hold on and got a different gentleman. He told me he had to see if the yard remembered us by our vehicle...We would not have spent 670.+ dollars on fencing to lie about 18 pickets... nor drive 20 miles+ to have them make it right. I needed about 20 feet of cedar pickets for a short privacy fence. I paid extra to get their “premium” line. My invoice shows the material to be 5/8” premium pickets but only a few were 5/8”. The majority were 1/2” and many were 3/8”.I started getting emails asking for a review before I had even gotten the material off the truck! After the third request within a week I responded that their requests were premature and promised that I would write a review after my project was finished.In addition to the unacceptable variation and failure to match what I paid for, I had to discard a few pickets because of the numerous knots. One even broke in half at a knot as I was pulling it off the truck.I am convinced that the only reason they have a “premium” level is to extract a higher price from customers who believe that designation means a superior product. If it is actually an indication of better wood I am SURE glad that I did not buy their standard version.My advice to you is: buy from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Save money and frustration and get more consistency.

I got a good deal on some gorgeous 5/4 cedar, a ton of joists and small amount of hardware for a deck rebuild project. I was given great recommendations and guidance from the guys inside and excellent help loading in the yard.
