Consistent, friendly service. Accurate cuts. Lots of options from basic and inexpensive to as fancy as youd like. Reasonable turnaround times and they almost always beat their completion estimate with my orders.The only complaint is the relatively small area for customers - gets crowded with more than one customer at a time, esp if they have their mirror/window/item with them. Other than that, dont know what else I could ask for - Id never think of going anywhere else. A+

To put it simply, we use Carlson glass because they do good work, they’re honest, and they’re pleasant to work with. They have repaired broken windows for us and installed a shower enclosure. And we have been happy with their workmanship and professionalism. The windows were done right, and the shower enclosure was neatly done and very solid.We plan to continue to use Carlson for all of our future glass projects and recommend them to friends and family without any hesitation.

A good full-service glass shop.

Every time I go here to try to accomplish a fix of a home item, they fail to be able to make the glass piece that is needed. I always spend a good 15 minutes looking through their samples only to be told that they cant make something. Latest example: spent 15 minutes looking thru glass samples to select one to get 4 small replacement pieces for an exterior light fixture. Not the sweetest people, either; I asked for advice and she told me, Youre paying for it, you pick it out. After a work ticket was all filled out they then told me they couldnt make it because it was single-strength glass...as if I knew what that meant. This is my 4th and final try with this place.

Cracked window was replaced in my townhouse. I contacted Carlson’s who came out first for evaluation and then provided me with an estimate. I had already been in touch with the manufacturer but decided having a local company I trusted take care of the job I chose Carlson’s glass. The installer was prompt and the job was done in a very timely manner. He made sure it worked properly inside and out. I would highly recommend Carlson’s for any window/glass installation or repair.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! First they gave me the wrong size glass, then the guy grabbed my window while I was holding it and started pushing me around violently. The police are here and Im pressing charges.

Very pleased with the prompt, professional work done to replace a thermopane window unit in the existing frame in our 106-year-old building. The old glass was out and the new glass was in efficiently, with no mess left behind, and no need to even touch up the paint. The new window looks perfect! A smooth transaction from start to finish.

Excellent service from start to finish. I got the new door and upgrades I needed. They did some repairs others would not. They worked easily with my condo association. And came highly recommended by word of mouth. And, the extra plus! They understood that i needed a super sturdy handle so my Scotties can look outside in eagerness....but wont let themselves out. I had Carlson come out on July 1 to give me an estimate to replace broken glass on a large Pella window. 2 weeks later I had yet to hear from them so I called to ask the status of the estimate. The receptionist indicated that they needed to check with the estimator and theyd call me back. I called again today 7/28 and asked again about my estimate. This time they told me that they could not do the glass replacement. Four weeks to get a no cant do? Ridiculous!!!!

We ordered our shower doors from Carlson Glass. we were very impressed with how professional and knowledgeable the installers were. They had noticed we had placed the grab bar where it was going to interfere with the inner handle of the shower door. Right away we thought tiles were going to have to be removed and major work would have to be done. But right away they said we will find a different handle that will not interfere with it. And they did, we were so pleased with their work I would recommend all of my friends to check them out first if in need of any type of glass.

Knowledgeable installers and a quality installation. We had a single window repaired that was broken by a rock thrown by a snowblower, and even though it was a small job, they treated our home with respect, took their time, and completed the work to our satisfaction. Highly recommended!

We had 3 large double hung windows that had become very cloudy after 30 years. Carlson’s came and measured and then a few weeks later returned with new thermopane double glass and efficiently replaced the window glass. Wow clean glass that one can see through! Wish I had done this years ago.

I run an automotive shop and we have large overhead doors. Unfortunately I’ve had some issues with the windows on these doors breaking or becoming cracked. When I first started dealing with Carlson glass I was looking into different vendors that could help in my situation because the supplier I was dealing with was suspect of overcharging. I needed a replacement for one of my doors and was recommended to Carlson from someone who has used them since the 80’s. I decided to call and see what they had to say. I was very impressed with their knowledge and also their understanding in how I needed it done quickly. Not only did they beat the price of the supplier I was dealing with, but it was done in half the time which helped out a ton. Good to know there is still a company out there who values customer service. Great people, great service, and family owned. No wonder they have been in business for over 100 years.

Great experience start to finish. Made an appointment on the phone, estimator arrived on time and took measurements, received the quote via email, sent the deposit, got a call to schedule installation, installers came out and did a perfect job. Everyone was clean, courteous, and knowledgeable. Carlson’s has done other work for us - always exactly as promised. Can’t ask for more.

Was happy with the start of the process, they even called to see if they could do the measurements early because they were in the area.Once deposit was made the story changed.I was told scheduled install would be at 1:00p. I left work early to accommodate this. I waited and eventually called them at 1:30p and was told they were too busy with another install and wouldnt be able to make it today. The person I spoke to said my appointment was between 1:00-3:00p which is not what I was told.Rescheduled for 0830-0900a the next day. I had to reschedule another appointment to accommodate this. No one showed up as I waited until 9:00a. I called them and was told that the person was in traffic and wouldnt be there until after 930a. Considering they are located less than 30mins from where the work was being performed.Overall all staff has been very rude and making it seem that Im an inconvenience.Update. Tech arrived at 0944. I was late to the appointment that I had already rescheduled for them. Was told that a manager will reach out to me regarding the service issues.

They installed a new Bay window last winter, which looks great, It was a big job. The new glass is very energy efficient, I was amazed at the difference. In winter you could feel the dramatic difference of the new windows holding the heat in the house and insulating the room from the cold air outside.

We had two direct set windows replaced. They were quarter round and fairly complex to duplicate. Carlsons crew measured them perfectly and when they came to install they fit as expected. Importantly, I had expected to have to repair damage to the window trim but they did such a good job installing that I just needed a dab of paint in a few spots. They look good as new. Great job!

Very hit or miss type of place. If youre not in a hurry and have lots of time (and money), this is your place. If youre in a pinch and expect a glass company to go the extra mile and help out a customer, forget it. Nothing can get done in a hurry, or in their own workshop, which is strange for an artisan business like glass. Theyre happy to point you to other glass places....?! Carlsons should start to understand that were in the 21st Century with different demands and different ways of doing business. IMHO..

Bad service. i had ordered a table glass top and they said it would be ready in 2 weeks. i called right on the last day of 2 weeks as i had heard nothing. And the reply was.. we sent it out as it was a custom piece and we will let u know when it comes back!!!.. i said but 2 weeks are up and i need it and the gentleman on the other end was least bothered. he said well .. we will let u know.. when we hear about it.. no due date, no promise, no apology for the due date being past... nothing. i thought that was terrible approach to customer service and commitment!

The craftsman arrived on time. He installed two new windows in an hour and a half. Great service.

Called two companies and asked for quote for windows with broken seals. After crew came to measure-did not hear from Carlson but did (the same day) from another company with quote. Called Carlson after a few days and they said they were busy because of hail damage in area. Carlson called after two weeks with quote. By then the glass was already ordered from another company and installed shortly after.

So I called this place asking for a custom frame. The lady in the custom frame department kept saying you have to come in which I said I understand and I also understand that depending on the fabric I need to frame the price will very but she would not even give me rough estimate of what a certain glass frame when I gave her the exact dimensions would cost. her answer was NO to everything!!! I will be taking by business somewhere else.

Carlson replaced the window glass in multiple casement windows. They were quick, courteous and knowledgeable.

Had a very bad experience with Carlson glass. Dont use them to get door windows fix. They quoted me a price then when I got my final bill it was more than their quote.I ask them when I received my quote over the phone is that for everything and they said yes. Also took them more than 2 months to get the door fix. Always had excuse.Callled them about the invoice and they told me there was nothing they can do. I told them that you fixed something that really didnt need fixing and charge me for it. They may be great for other stuff but door windows fixing is not one of them. Defintely would tell people not to use them. I should have went with Rite Way Glass & Mirror in Woodrdige like other people told me but I decided to try Carlson Glass. Never Again...Will pay the invoice but defintely will never use them again. People stay away from them I hate to see you get burn by them.
