We used to live in Long Beach, Ca now we live in Whittier, tried to take our car for service, they have not shuttle service which is kinda standard nowadays in must dealerships, I went today at 7am I was there had to go wake up my wife and baby for the ride back for them to tell me only by appointment and if I choose to leave it it will be done last one of the day at 4pm, we were considering trade in next year our 3 cars but I guess we will going to CABE TOYOTA they do have great service

In my household we have purchased 6 Toyotas since 2006 to now at different dealerships, I honestly think this is the first time I would consider the poorest service compared to the past ones. I did not like the service and how we had to wait over 2 hours to be called in for our paperwork process and other things I was not too happy. The last dealer where I bought my previous Toyota was totally different in a positive way. I think this was the first and last time I purchase a car at this location.

We had an EXCELLENT experience with Travis at Toyota of Whittier! He really listened to our needs, wants, and budget. He was able to get us a very good deal that fit within our budget and allowed us to lease a 2021 Corolla! He was very knowledgeable and answered our (many) questions. The receptionist and finance workers were excellent as well. We will be back, if you go ask for Travis!

TURNED AWAY! I called Toyota of Whittier to see if they would take my wife’s car for minor maintenance early morning and they said if I brought it in from 7am-8am there would be no problem. I woke up extra early, swapped cars with my wife, dropped off my baby extra early -only to get there and be told they can’t take my car. Three workers “called-off” and seventy cars to work on was her justification. As if that was going to make everything okay. I had to call another Toyota spontaneously and drive 40 minutes extra. They took my wife’s car no problem. Working in service and retail for years, I learned early on that sorry excuses like telling customers about “call-offs” and what you have on your plate isn’t the customers problem and they shouldn’t have to hear about that. Instead you try to find solutions for the customer. They never offered to call another Toyota for me, they never offered to take my car regardless of the situation and let me know that it’ll just be a much longer wait, or at the very least offer to step inside to schedule for another day with a minor discount or coupon. What a letdown.

I purchased a vehicle here and it wasnt a very good experience it was my first new car. Not only did the vehicle have some scratches that they said they would fix and didnt but the whole experience felt so shady. I didnt receive the window sticker for my vehicle or booklet for the owners manual. After having the vehicle for a while I noticed that the vehicle has the brake replaced at 25mils.Dont waste your time here they are so many other better Toyota dealerships you can visit

Very disappointed with the way Dan ultimately treated my niece and I. He was friendly at first but when I told him I didn’t want to give him my number and instead for him to give me his business card his attitude became extremely rude. He gave me his card after I explained I don’t like giving my number to sales agents to avoid getting bombarded with calls. When we began walking away he called us back and demanded his business card back saying we were scaring him. Not sure how we were scaring him though. He made me feel as if I was some sort of criminal out to find someone to hurt. He was completely out of line and unprofessional! Needless to say we went to two other dealerships with great service and ended up buying a car at one of them. My niece is extremely happy with her new Toyota Corolla. If you go here avoid Dan! He calls himself “Dan the Toyota Man”. Maybe another associate will be more friendly and professional without making you feel like some sort of criminal/ predator.

Just left the dealership. Unfortunately was unable to make an appropriate deal. Spoke with Travis, expecting me to pay more monthly for a car that was less than my 4runner. Ran a “soft credit report”but could not give me a copy of MY report. Just overall wasn’t satisfied with my experience. Seems like the car advertised was used as bait to get the customers in to offer “different options”.

Payed 10000 more for car then advertised then they bring me a car with the wrong vin number after I already insured the original vin so i had to wait til after the weekend to insure it then they accidentally charge me tax on my monthly payment so I go in to sign paperwork waited an hour for my appointment i really have nothing positive to say besides maybe they got me the car nxt day but thats all I can think honestly do yourself a favor and go to literally any other dealership

I needed to replace my previous car, which was totaled in an accident in December. Toward the end of December, I found a car on Kelley Blue Book and asked Toyota of Whittier if it was still available. It was. I made an appointment to see it and do a test drive. The experience was hassle free and Dan Castorena was very patient and answered all my questions. Its been a long time since I purchased a car, but the team at Toyota of Whittier made the process smooth and relatively fast. Thank you Toyota of Whittier!

Don’t get a car from here!!! Davide Pavesi and Albert Sanchez are your typical dishonest, shady car salesmen. Once you have purchased a car from them they want nothing to do with you. They don’t even bother returning a call or an email. If you have any problems with your vehicle just show up unannounced and they’ll be forced to take care of the problem.

Me and my family bought a vehicle from Toyota in Whittier and had a couple of issues with the vehicle so had to bring it back to be checked. Gladys and Cynthia in service have been such a great help on making us feel that we are important and we matter. Both ladies are very professional, respectful and understanding by making sure we left Toyota satisfied and happy. Wish I could give 0. Arranged appointment. Told them Im traveling long distance so dont waste my time and if they were charging a premium let me know now because I wasnt going to make the trip. When I got there, they had none of the car that I was looking for. They could get one from other dealers but they wanted to make sure I was aware there was a premium on the car. This dealership is of the latter type.I was just quoted a price 10k over MSRP (!!) b/c the vehicle is in high demand. Yes, thats the nature of supply and demand. Seems dishonest to add items to a vehicle that noone asked for and then pass on the charge to the customer forcefully without the option of having the add on remove to buy it with an extra fee over the asking price.Im sure they will write an apology that they feel bad and that they are sorry they couldnt make the deal. Toyata of whittier seems to be busy quite a bit. Plenty of parking. Nice area. Although I only frequent them to buy small parts for my 91 Cressida, 87 pickup,they seem to be able to find what I need, usually have to order the parts. Its like any other dealer. Good service. Easy to find.

Spoke to a supposed dealer by the name of Julie. She was very nice on the phone and in person but in the end she mislead me. When I got there she wasnt the one who took care of me. She ended up being the front girl. I was handed off to other people who didnt know me or my situation. Drove half an hour to this stealership only to find out something I could have found out over the phone. It was never her intention to help me. What a waste of time. Manager refused to work with us outside and was walking around without a mask along with other staff inside. When I confronted him he said he will not enforce mask wearing for the staff nor the customers. Be warned if you are any sort of health risk for COVID avoid this place and the rude unethical unprofessional manager.

Called to get a quote on getting a replacement key for a 10 year old car. I lost all keys so I knew it would be expensive but not ridiculous, price gouging expensive! I was quoted $585 for the programming of a regular key fob(not a push button start car) and $200 for the key itself. Then I was told they would work with me. I said you know I can order a key for $10 bucks on eBay(which I had already)and get it cut by a locksmith for probably 1/4th the price! Well I called around and found a guy that did it for $135, cut and programmed my eBay key for an additional $40. All work was done in less than 20 minutes. Shame on you Toyota of Whittier on trying to take advantage of hard working people.BTW no special computer was needed to program the key. Once it was cut all that was done is a simple procedure of opening the door X number of times while turning the ignition on. It can be found on YouTube.

I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend anyone who is in search of a vehicle to come to Toyota of Whittier. This was the 5th dealership I had visited. I was looking for a pre owned Tacoma. None of the previous dealers were willing to work with me and I had come across several with dealer mark ups that were ridiculous.I arrived at Toyota of Whittier and met Travis who was an amazing salesmen, he answered all of my questions and made sure I was getting exactly what I was looking for. Between Travis, the sales manager (who’s name I’m sorry to say I forgot 🤦🏻‍♀️), and also Robert I was very well taken care of and I walked out of there was the exact deal I was looking for AND they added complimentary oil change and tire rotations for two years! 😀👏If you are looking to purchase a Toyota this is the place to go!! We were looking to trade in our Tesla Model X for a Toyota. As we no longer commute to our jobs the purpose of having the car is no longer existing. Initial email from their salesperson Pablo promising that they could offer up to 120 percent of Kelly Blue Book Value for a trade in is just a ploy to get you in the door in the hopes of making a sale. Our Tesla Model X in immaculate condition was given a trade in offer of only 60 percent of what KBB stated. Our issue is not the low offer but the fact that when we were on the phone with him he said we HAD to bring the car in to be properly inspected for proper trade in. And that videos and photos would not do along with the VIN. When we arrived Pablo did a circle of the car, took down the VIN and that was it. Pablo had stated on our call earlier when we were explicit we didn’t want to waste time driving down if we could get a number for trade in over the phone to save time. Although Pablo was insistent that a separate professional would need to review the car and check all the internal and driving mechanisms to ensure we were getting the full trade in value. So he essentially LIED to us to get us in the door and hope that he still makes the sale. Pathetic excuse for a dealership with horrible dishonest selling tactics.

Deceptive pricing, lied multiple times about dealer add-ons over the phone. When asked about the discrepancies we were told to wait as the salesman went to get the sales manager. We waited for 20-30 minutes and werent offered water or anything while we waited. When the sales manager finally sat down with us, he was extremely rude and abrupt, wouldnt reduce the new price at all, and wouldnt even acknowledge how the pricing online could be considered misleading. After wasting 3 hours of hour time, we ended up purchasing the same make/model car at a different car lot with no issue, no deception, and for four thousand dollars less.Oh, and I only remembered to post this review weeks later because of the constant spam Toyota of Whittier sends me after taking down my contact info.

On May 4, 2020 I went to Toyota of Whittier to purchase a certified vehicle, Pablo Gutierrez was my sales man and I showed him the online advertised price of my car from Toyota of Whittiers website which was $15,495.00 and he told me that $2,000 would be added to the price of my car because Toyota of Whittier installs Low Jack systems to all the cars on there lot so they can get there cars back if there is a problem with payment. I then said, That cant be right, cause Toyota commercial s say that Toyota GUARANTEES there Advertised prices and if they want to put a tracking device on there cars should be a cost already included in the sales price and not an additional price on top of Advertised price. Pablo assumed me I was going to get it at the advertised price after going back and forth with me. Then when I get called into the finance office to sign my documents I asked Jesse the finance representative about the Low Jack system Pablo Gutierrez told me about and he had NO knowledge about it and then Jesse while working on his computer pulling up my paperwork he said to make things to go faster for me to sign my name on a tablet that was connected to his computer so he could copy my signature on all my documents automatically, so at the time I had no knowledge that the price had changed from the advertised price to a $17,000.00 plus price until weeks later and then I called in and asked where the Low Jack system was installed at in my vehicle and Toyota of Whittier had no record of it ever being installed and it was not listed on my contract either. So I was falsely charged for a product I never received and on top of that, when Jesse in finance asked me if I wanted to purchase more warranty and I told Jesse and signed that I did not want an extended warranty cause I was happy with the warranty that already came with my vehicle, but when I check all my documents I see additional warranty packages that was added to my contract without my consent and when I called and told the General Manager Tom Nguyen about it to my surprise he told me it was HIM that added the extra warranty packages to my contract more FALSELY charges on my contract, but thankfully I was able to get those charges cancelled. But when I asked for the $2,000 plus tax refunded that was FALSELY charged for a Low Jack system that was NEVER installed in my vehicle the Lier Pablo Gutierrez told me that the ONLY reason the price of my vehicle would be changed was due to a Low Jack system being installed in my car. (I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REFUND) WATCH OUT EVERY AND ANYBODY GOING TO TOYOTA OF WHITTIER CHECK YOUR CONTRACTS AND DONT GET SCAMMED LIKE I DID. I was truly hoping for a better experience I am a disabled person and this behavior was Totally WRONG TOYOTA OF WHITTIER Put True meaning to BUYER BEWARE! I can only Hope better service can be found at other dealerships.

Found a great car here, booked an appointment to go see it with Travis Carter. I live in San Diego so it would take me a little under 2 hrs to get there. The day before our appointment I checked the website to find the vehicle no longer listed. I thought it was something they do for people who look at their vehicle but just to be sure I called (no answer) and then left both a message and a text. I received a text back stating they had sold the car YESTERDAY. If I had not checked the website I would have gone to the appointment for nothing. Please request out the door price before heading to this dealership they will add Stolen Vehicle Recovery Device $1,7900 on there USED Certified vehicles when it should be optional. Vehicle Selling price I inquire was listed $17,450 and they telling me out the door price was going to be $21,186. Make sure to request out the door price and ask what fees additional to taxes and DMV/registration fees are you being charge for. All NEW cars do come added optional dealership accessories fees added to the selling price but not on used cars. Shop around and youll realize other Toyotas Dealership do not charge SVR ( dealership accessories) on there used/ certified cars. I will not shop here since they could not removed SRV on used car I inquire and got better price at other Toyota dealership on the same car.

So during this unprecedented time, a lot of car shopping has been via email and/or phone. Like any buyer looking into as much information as they could obtain to make an informed decision, youd think all dealerships would at least throw some numbers out. At the very least put in some effort to earn your business like any decent salesperson would. I inquired to almost all Toyota dealerships from Santa Barbara all the way down to Chula Vista to see what initial numbers I could get from each dealership. This is the ONLY dealership that responded this way out of the 20+ I communicated with. (See included picture.) All other Toyota dealerships at minimum tried to earn my business, which is what i truly appreciated despite not being able to get on the same page with numbers in the end. Communication goes a LONG way with me. I ended up purchasing my new and beautiful 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture Edition at Huntington Beach, and even left some money on the table for them after a 7 hour negotiation in person. I NEVER buy backend offers in the finance office, but because they had such amazing customer service the whole time I was there, I decided to buy the bare minimum warranty just because. (Well I just put more down payment to make the difference of the ext. warranty, but at least they make money through it as well.) Im a totally FAIR buyer and get they need to make money, too. Beware of the service department!!! My daughter took her car in for a misfire and they said it was a bad catalytic converter and was going to cost $2,000 to repair. My husband brought the car home to do his own diagnosis because he was suspicious of theirs. We live a couple hours from my daughter or he would have done this in the first place. Before he could get to it our daughter ended up finding a used car at West Coast Toyota in Long Beach. Because Toyota of Whittier is closest to her she took the car in to check the brakes, since it is under warranty and when she came to visit my husband noticed there may be an issue. This appointment started off with the service department texting her the wrong date for the appointment, but thankfully it was caught. Then the service guy called my husband yesterday to let him know her car was serviced. They did an oil change and tune up!!! This was an appointment to get the brakes checked and they didnt check the brakes! Of course they told my husband they found no brake issues, but there is no way to trust them now! She will take it to another Toyota service department. And my husband ended up fixing the other car for $34 because it was a completely different issue than the catalytic converter. I wish I had read the reviews ahead of time. Whomever they have responding to the reviews gives the usual response....sorry this happened to you. How about actually fixing your service department issues!

Have always had good service here for our car. Always a great greeting and fair pricing. Have never had any suggested work that did not make sense to me. Keep up the great work service and parts department.The only thing I can heavily suggest, is to not have a pop up tent with a bunch of stereotypical sales people hanging on it and in a ready to pounce mode. There has to be a better up system than that old school style.

Dishonest!! I was just trying to BUY a CPO 2020 toyota Corolla LE, trying to negotiate the price and you know what they told me? I have to pay an advertisement fee for $1295 . Since when a customer have to pay for a company advertisement? Lol. Ill take my business somewhere else.

I wish I wouldve seen these reviews before I drove 30 miles to see a vehicle that was confirmed to have been there this am, but when I got there was told it was SOLD the day PRIOR. ?? Really?? Needless to say...SHADY. I would divert anyone who mentions this place. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I found a great deal on a CPO 2017 Camry online, but they added $1,790 in fees for a GPS and paint sealant. It was labeled as aftermarket premium. Dont fall for it.

Went in for a new car and I walked out with a 2019 Camry SE. I received the best service I could possibly ask for by NIMCY. She was extremely helpful, patient and made my wife and I feel very welcomed. She walked us through the process and did NOT haggle us. I would recommend this dealer ship to my friends but more importantly I’d direct them to Nimcy ! Best service I could ask for ! 🤙🏽

Not a very honest place!!! You need to watch what they do!!! If you go in for service. Check what you need done to you car!!! They add things to your service that you don’t even ask for and write it up as recommended by customer... will not be going back. Should have known better when I waited for my car and look at trucks and the salesman would never give me a break down of the pricing.

Rule 1. When they ask for you iD ask them for what because what they do is they run blind soft credit checks, so dont give your iD unless your serious or dont mind a soft credit check.Rule 2. If you want to buy a car cash tell them how much your going to put down by calculating the % of that vehicle, and tell them what you want. The customer is always right, but this toyota of Whittier seems to only want to sell to people of good credit. If they see you have bad credit score they will tell you its basically impossible. And they will try to turn you down. They are car salesmen, and if they dont want to sell to you. Take your business to another toyota and tell them how this toyota treated you.Rule 3. Dont be afraid to look at other Toyota dealers. If you tell them another toyota didnt treat your business unfairly, this means that another toyota dealership treated you wrong explain why. Toyota would rather do business with you so they dont loose your investment. Or leave a negative review on the location you did visit [thats what Im doing right now]Rule 4. If a dealership worker looks to laid back for his line of work, they do not deserve your contract. Ask for other salesman. I do not recommend (Paco, pablo) his name starts with a P and an elderly fella, hes a good salesman and the best because hes built his reputation. Try going to the other salesmen who still have yet to show his results on the dealership.Rule 5. Come with an open mind, if they said no, but another dealer ship says yes, consider finding or negotiating a price because some dealers sell cars at over sticker price because of supply and demand, if you find yourself in this position, wait it off, because thats how they get you. A deal to great to pass up? Wait for on it. Itll come back.Rule 5. Dont be afraid to buy from the manufacturer, there are options to buy cars online now and if you want to wait 6 months for a car just made for you. Dont be afraid to wait.Rule 6. Make sure the car is in inventory currently because they dont update stock and if they do, the car might not be their yet so they try to get you to sign paper work ahead of time and they could try and sell you a different color so keep your eyes peeled for the car and ask to see it.
