I paid Bernie Hefner $800 to refinish two guitar bodies. He disappeared with the bodies and never did the work. Avoid this guy and whatever business he associates with.
The guy’s a jerk and way overpriced; stay away. Every time I took my guitar to him he acted like I was wasting his time, and that he was doing me some big favor. Uhh, I’m paying you to do work, have some hospitality. The work was always mediocre at best.
People working are smugService is overpricedThey deliberately didnt do the job I asked for after taking my money while giving me service youd expect from a place selling cell phone cases barely making overheadnot a place of quality that has dealt with the likes of some famousThey also butchered my wiring but charged a fee for them to do soI went so they could laquer my guitar and make it look a certain way they said they could do it and charged me around 800 and told me it would be accurate not kinda not maybe and to my surprise failed miserably all while talking to me like he was doing me a favor? Thus in turn my time and resources were wasted and guitar ruined cause some half ass shop was too incompetent to do work they are so qualified yet arrogant of
Well, where do I begin, I have a fender squire strat, from the 80s I brought it here to get the 5 way selector switch, and to intonate if needed, so I left it there for him to fix, all I heard from her was that he was very busy, so I told the lady that answers the phone that he could take his time because I wanted it done right after all I was paying $ 177.00 + and my receipt said that if I was not please with the work I could bring it back, new switch, new saddle, and intonation, I picked up the guitar, went to the studio to practice, when I plugged into the Amp, I got a big surprise, my guitar wasnt tuned and the locking device wasnt locked, so tuned and locked it, and when I tried to play it I could only play down to the 10th fret, and it wouldnt hold the note, it was buzzing, so I took it back I ask them to raise the action so that it would stop buzzing, after they said that they had finished I went to pick it up, so I played it there, and to me it still wasnt right, so I left it there again, after a couple of days I got a message on my phone from Burnie at guitar alley, he sounded upset and said how long he has been working on guitars and that it was a custom shop and that he could raise the action on my guitar like an acustic guitar, so I called spoke to him, and he just didnt seem very professional, and he doesnt stand by his work, so I picked up my guitar, and Ive been trying to play it, now Im going to have to take it to a repair shop or the pros at Sam ash, guitar center, or someone, understands that the customer is always right, if there is anyone thinking about coming here or bringing your guitar, dont do it, but the really messed up thing is that Im going to have to pay again, but I have other guitars, and I dont think Ill be playing this guitar anymore .
Great service, awesome set up on my old 1985 Westone guitar, very friendly people...ill definitely be a return customer thanks!!
Had my prized PRS & 57 Strat frets and set up done here...excellent work, highly recommended.
I paid over 600 dollars to fix my broken Gibson SG . It rebroke within a minute of playing.
