I went looking for this bookstore. We had visited this shop several years ago at a different location. I like their business model and selection of books.

Found a comic book for my wife. Not sure about book prices because I saw no price stickers. Good selection but didnt buy a book when I didnt know the price.

Great selection very kind. While I was in there a man with sever learning disabilities was asking for help. The gentleman was so kind and patient to the man even though it was clear he wasnt buying anything. Need more of this in Wichita! The place has won my heart. Oh and I have five more books that are amazing which helps!

We walked in on an overcast Saturday afternoon and were greeted immediately by the shopkeeper, who asked us if we were looking for anything specific. We had a short list of titles we were wanting to buy and she gave us a quick tour of the store. The shopkeeper knows her inventory well, and speaks of the books as if they are all her friends. And though at first glance it doesnt look as if the wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling books are organized in any manageable fashion, it is. Even if it werent, this is the kind of place you want to get lost in for a couple of hours anyway.I walked out with another used copy of The Sun Also Rises for $2, and my partner picked up a used hardback copy of Walden for $6.This is the kind of business that makes you yearn for the times when everyone specialized in a trade. We are now of the time when people can buy their books, jewelry, and tires in the same place they buy their toilet paper, and were supposed to be happy about the convenience.I will be back time and again, on lunch breaks, weekends, and any time Im near Delano with some time to kill and a couple dollars in my wallet. I only hope Als can continue to withstand the Walmart era and serve us locally devoted bibliophiles for years to come.

One of the nicest ladies I know. She will try to find what you want if you ask, and she doesnt take long to do it, Support local, she has recently moved back to Delano, west of NuWay.

I am multi-talented Author Jae Byrd Wells and I approve of this clean and well stocked store. It might be a new location, but the ghosts of its history moved with the new and old collection. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Amazing little uses bookstore

A delightful place for any booklover to browse. This shop has a wide selection of fine old and new books across all genres from mystery to classic literature to history to childrens books. Extensive sections of non-fiction books on many foreign countries. They dont sell books at thrift store prices but the quiet atmosphere and great selection makes for a very satisfying experience.

Great store if youre looking for old gems and rarities. Plenty of hardcovers. Owner is obviously a true book lover and curator. Worth stopping by with plenty of time to browse the selection.

Great prices and very helpful in finding what youre looking for or helping you to find a way to repair any book, whether it needs rebinding or is just plain dusty. If they dont know, they can point you in the right direction to people who will take good care of you.

Als is the proverbial clean, well-lighted place for books. The clerk is a sci-fi/fantasy savant, but youll find something for everyone, including children and young adults.

Didnt know it was here. I am always looking for old good books and Als seems to have a few. Glad I found it.
