Quirky little Cafe with fresh ingredients and organic menu. Also many available options for vegan or vegetarian diners. Super cute outdoor garden area. It was a little difficult to order as you cant see the menu from the register so you have to remember from the beginning of the line what you want to order. When I visited they also werent doing drink orders such as smoothies so that was disappointing.
I had never been before today. This is an order at the counter and then find a seat kind of place. Youre greeted with a big menu on a chalkboard but fortunately there are chairs for you to sit and peruse the menu if its your first time. Theres a menu for food and a slightly smaller drink menu. Everything sounded delicious! The staff was friendly and offered up some of their favorites. The food was really good and Ill definitely be back to try more of their expansive menu!
Entry is welcoming and it has character. Staff approached immediately to ensure I knew how to order or see if I needed help. Table sitch is weird though. Random tables and chairs strewn about. Strange seating arrangement, but I guess they make it work. Menu is varied and sounded good, which is why I decided to try this place while in town. I ordered the BDC omelette. It was good; too much squash and zucchini for me, but overall, I enjoyed my meal.
I really had a nice breakfast here on my way out of Wichita. The server and cook were friendly and pleasant.I went right when they opened up, so I got free coffee and it was quite good!I ordered the vegan French toast and it was *delicious*!! I wish I could have it more often 😍The space is really nice, clean, homey, lots of space. It’s right near a community garden (I think?) so the whole experience was nice.I highly recommend the beautiful day cafe
This place is awesome! My new favorite Vegan cafe in Wichita! I got the breakfast bowl this morning and every vegetable in it was cooked perfectly and had tremendous taste. These people know what their doing and I’ll be back from Oklahoma to eat here for sure!
Cannot speak highly enough about this place! Very friendly service, awesome environment, and great options for healthy food. My wife and I are very particular about our food. We were recommended to Beautiful Day Cafe and loved it so much we came 4 separate times on our long weekend here in Wichita!
My husband and I were in Wichita for the weekend and a beautiful day cafe was recommended to us because of all of the healthy and delicious food they offer. Needless to say we ended up eating here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day! The food is thoughtfully made with the the highest quality ingredients, the water is filtered, the drinks/juices are all fresh, clean, and healthy. We kept saying that we wish they had one of these restaurants in Colorado Springs so we could enjoy it more often!
I love this place and it’s accommodations for vegans. So many options!! I am always struggling to choose because I normally don’t have many options. The hippy Porrige is my all time favorite. Thank you for being one of the few restaurants in Wichita to make a large portion of your menu vegan ♥️
This place is AMAZING! The food was absolutely delicious- first time in a long time my stomach felt great after eating out. Organic Whole Foods make all the difference! My three year old loves the pancake- which I surprised by because it was buckwheat flour but it really was tasty!! I ate eggs hash brown and bacon. My husband had the burrito- also delicious and older child (and I) devoured the French toast! The service was very friendly- we will definitely be back!!!
Great experience! Great food. Their adjacent garden is rad. This place could use some more tables because it is so popular. The outside eating could use some more table room to accommodate for full meal eating, instead of just enough room for drinks. Also, in the garden there are some sweet tables but they are all right next to the road. Maybe they could be moved further back into the garden? With all this being said, this place still gets 10/10.
This was my first visit to the Beautiful Day Cafe. I was very impressed with the fresh ingredients and the extensive menu, but the service and my order had a few issues. A few items that I ordered did not come out as requested, also I had to ask my server for items and condiments several times. Overall the staff was very friendly and the food was good. This is a good restaurant for breakfast, they also serve lunch but I have not tried any of the lunch menu items.
First time visiting Beautiful day cafe and it was amazing! We came for an early breakfast and the food, service & atmosphere was amazing!
Delicious eats. Vegetarian and vegan friendly menu. Fresh ingredients. Funky atmosphere. Love the gardens
A very relaxing place where you can unwind and have some very good thats unique and great tasting. If you just have tea date great place to get a cup of tea and catch up on conversation. ..not sure which tea ...no worries you can sample the first. Once youve done dont forget to sit in their garden and enjoy, this is not only a flower garden but vegetables, herbs and spices which they pick from daily..talk about fresh. The staff is also very nice and helpful.
BEST PLACE EVER!! Never disappoints. Great food, great people, lots of vegan options. Love BDC!
Literally the BEST PLACE!! We were traveling and wanted some actual nutritional food than what most places have. I love how it’s organic and DELICIOUS!!! If I could rate it 100 stars I would. Love the vibe, the front counter girl is so nice and polite! LOVE LOVE LOVE
What a gem of a place! We were looking for a place to eat breakfast that could seat 8 people last minute and our gracious host accommodated us right away! So glad we found you in our weekend in Wichita! Beautiful day cafe has a menu friendly to vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The food is fresh, primarily local and delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The pancakes were a hit, as well as the omelets, breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, smoothie, etc...
Gluten Intolerant people beware - I got a crispy burrito today with a gluten free tortilla and had horrible gluten issues once I got home.Cross-contamination perhaps?Im giving 5 stars because the ambiance was fantastic and Im not a bad person (dont want to ruin the 4.5 stars this place has), BUT I will unfortunately never return.Gluten Intolerant people - BEWARE!!
What a funky little spot. Fresh ingredients, great food. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work!
Good service. The workers were really friendly and answered any questions. The food came out quickly and they checked on us.The food was really good! I got the BDC omelet, and was surprised by the combination of vegetables. They worked together so well and tasted great. I love that they grow their own food. I am gluten free so it was nice to have an allergen friendly restaurant.
Great breakfast, cute place! Loved taking a walk through the garden area afterwards...
We waited 35min for our food. We realize they were busy and they said they were short 2 servers- but this is an order at the counter place. Then our food was delivered and our 5yo’s order was not complete. We told the front counter this and they said we did not order her bacon - we definitely did. Instead of doing what any normal restaurant would do and giving us what we ordered, they fought with us and said we would have to pay for the bacon. Which we already did. They refused to serve her two measly pieces of bacon without us paying again for it, which led to her crying, and did not send a manager. They sent someone else, who tried to apologize and said management couldn’t just give us bacon. But we already paid for it. They still refused and instead chased a crying little girl out of the door with a cup of berries. Overall we are really disappointed as we don’t go out to eat as a family often and our child was really looking forward to this morning. We don’t want to go back.
What a truly refreshing, wonderful dining experience. From the moment we walked into this cafe to the moment we left, we felt welcome and at home. I loved seeing the permaculture/garden outside the restaurant and how thoughtful every detail seemed to be. Our hostess was SO KIND and sweet! She was amazing. Not to mention the plethora of vegan options across the menu. I ended up with the vegan breakfast burrito and the French toast which were both hands down delicious. If we lived closer this would be my regular spot for sure.
My girlfriend and I come here at least every other week, sometimes more. This is one of my favorites spots Wichita. Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Ingredients are always fresh, and the food is prepared with special care and attention. Everything is excellent. Coffee is great. Cozy atmosphere, cool art on the walls, friendly staff.
This restaurant is a must for healthy, wholesome foodies!! I only leave reviews when someplace is especially special, so I apologize in advance for the length. I searched for restaurants near our route home to Nebraska, and when this showed up, it was a no brainer lunch stop. The grilled veggies in the gluten free wrap were fantastically flavorful, and Im eagerly anticipating the same for the take home spinach leek soup for supper. Home brewed kombucha, kimchi, infused water, bulletproof coffee, and other unique items suit the eclectic decor. My other half appreciated the meat menu options, while I gravitated toward the many gluten free and vegan choices, including desserts. Its rare we both come to and leave a restaurant table fully satisfied. There are games for kiddos and an invitation to leave your mark with personalized napkin art displayed under the glass top tables.
Great food. Awesome people
My fiancé and I had lunch today here, and the food was very good and tasty. I had the crispy combo burrito, which featured eggs, sausage, hash browns and Muenster cheese on a whole grain tortilla. It also comes with a red sauce (which I added some hot sauce to, but I would say it’s low to medium spice level as is). It was delicious! My Fiancé had the pancakes with blueberries and we split an order of the French toast. Maybe could’ve used a bit more maple syrup. The espresso was a little less punchy than I like, but still a very good cup of coffee!Service was wonderful as well!
The food was amazing. Very unique experience.
Super delicious breakfast bowl! Lots of gluten free options and very friendly staff. Breakfast all day too 🥰 What a find on my way through Witchita!!
The atmosphere is earthy and local. Food is unique, fresh and delish. Dont go expecting glamor, its like your sisters getting your grub but remember-that makes you family. 😉
What a great find! We had a wonderful young lady that helped us and the breakfast was just what I wanted. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely plan to return here!
This place is amazing the service is so friendly and the Manager is hands down the best cook in town!!
The variety and food was outstanding. This is an unexpected treat. The good is fresh, organic and delicious. We took our teens boys and they loved their choices. Normally, this is a challenge. We went when it was busy and the food was still served in a timely manner. Not an over extended wait. The severs were very friendly.
Great food a lot of fresh ingredients and a great reputation.
Tried this place for the first time and was very impressed. Nice cozy atmosphere. Delicious food. I had the BDC omelette and the buckwheat banana pancakes. Both were delicious and the pancakes may have been the best I’ve ever had. The fact that they’re a healthy version of pancakes and also delicious is pretty amazing!
I had a wonderful breakfast experience here and I cant wait to try lunch in the future, amazing environment in industrial wichita, lots of greenery and a good vibe. We had the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries and chocolate chips, they were fantastic and filling along with a reasonable price!
Amazing food. Best breakfast Ive had in Wichita. Fresh, homemade, lots of stuff from their onsite garden. Great place for people with food sensitivities.
Good food and a even better atmosphere. Beautiful Day Cafe offeres a unique coffee shop feel but has a large assortment of breakfast and lunch foods. The atmosphere is what makes this place. Off the beaten path, it has more of a home feel to the place. They have art from local artists for sale up on the walls along with a corner with books and a coffee bar.Overall, if you are not into huge crowds and want a more peaceful place to go for breakfast or lunch, this is the place to go.
Great customer service! Very nice atmosphere! Great food! Will eat there again. My wife & loved the place! 👍😎
Amazing. Coffee, french toast, and veggie breakfast bowl.
Excellent food. Healthy and fresh. Service was a little slow but worth the wait.
My girlfriend works nearby this establishment. She frequents it often and was excited to take me there for my first time on Saturday. We were greeted by a bespectacled girl who was friendly, welcoming and helpful to us personally. But the girl’s co-worker, who was a little older, unpleasantly encouraged us to order our meal to go. We looked around - the place was half full and everyone was wearing a mask. We assured the negative employee we were in no hurry and didnt mind waiting for a table. “It’s going to be a really long time,” she replied. We got the hint. My girlfriend told her we would just choose another restaurant, and the employee cheerfully said “OK!” Very strange reaction, and needless to say, my girlfriend was saddened as a loyal customer. I assured her it wasnt her; Im not exactly beautiful so maybe they just didnt like the way I looked.
Tried this place today was very excited as someone with a gluten allergy. The food was fine, but the hostess was rude to my husband when he picked up our order. So we likely will not order from here again.
Omg Im in love! The service is friendly and the menu is perfection!
I always like to come here with my friends after weve all stayed up too late drinking some of the worst alcoholic experimentations you could imagine. Bottom shelf tequila+Applesauce is literally a hell potion; the only cure to which is to eat half a breakfast sandwich from Beautiful Day, puke that half in the bathroom, then eat the other half. Theyve always got fancy infused water that helps both with the hangover, and the lingering taste of stomach acid. This place has probably saved my life at least 3 times.
The food was yummy, and so was my iced coffee. It was neat to try something outside of my comfort zone (I tried cashew cheese). They let me sample the cheese before they put it in my burrito. Very conscious of food allergies. They were very kind and amenable when my friend was having a migraine. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because it was a little expensive and initially the layout of the restaurant was unclear.
Absolutely amazing service, atmosphere vegan and vegetarian, organic, non-gmo, gluten free Café! Excellent find!
Me and my girlfriend ate breakfast here every day during our 3 stint. The employees were cheerful, down to earth and incredibly friendly. The management and customer service made an impression on us that will last a lifetime!
Walked in and the lady just skipped me and went to the next customer behind me and treated them so kind. But I got nothing but a look! I guess a chain restaurant it is!
Fantastic! Easy to drive past as the restaurant is small but you will be so glad you stopped in. Very fresh, organic and pasture raised ingredients. The french toast is simple and irresistible. Try their sweet and spicy iced tea too!
Great quaint spot for brunch. My veggie omelette was so delicious. Great service.
The food was great as always. They have a great selection and many options for vegetarians.
Really nice atmosphere, both inside and out in the garden (which you should definitely eat in). Prices were, as youd expect, are a little high for the portion size, but food quality was very good. If you like tea, the sweet and spicy is easily in my top 3 favorite teas Ive ever had.
Eclectic. Small. Homey. Top notch food with vegan and vegetarian selections.
Great food. Great gluten free options!
It was my first time to visit Beautiful Day Cafe. The food tasted great and the staff was very friendly.
My boyfriend and I were in town for an event when we stumbled upon Beautiful Day Cafe! We came here every morning for breakfast. The employees are so sweet and welcoming!!! AND THE FOOD IS THE BOMB!!
Great people awesome food lots of options and ingredients are all amazing
The sandwich was dry, mostly bread, would not return, did like the atmosphere but not the food.
Delicious kombucha and many lunch dishes with meat alternatives and natural ingredients
Great little gem in the heart of Wichita. The food is delicious! I love the fact they try to accommodate to food allergies, vegetarians and vegans. That kind if service is hard to find! I had a great conversation with the chef and server. Very friendly service.
I love the food quality here! They start with healthy ingredients, and prepare them perfectly. Try the grass fed burger or the veggie burrito (which they finish on the grill to warm the entire thing, including the tortilla). The butter coffee is great too!
As a person with several food allergies, I gotta say - Beautiful Day Cafe is going to be a staple breakfast joint when we visit family in Wichita. We visited when there was still snow on the ground, so we didnt get to experience their awesome-looking garden where they grow their own foods. The vibe inside was definitely more warm and cozy than it looked on the outside in the gloomy cold, and their menu board is loaded with amazing food options.I had the meaty sausage breakfast burrito with a GF tortilla, served with their red sauce. The veggies were beautifully done, and the red sauce was absolutely amazing. I ate pretty much all of it, and loved every bite. My husband ordered the vegan biscuits and gravy, which he actually felt were a little underwhelming (hence the 4-stars). He enjoyed it, but I think he was hoping for a little more richness than he got. Hell definitely try something else next time. The only other issue we experienced was a long wait for a hot cocoa that my FIL ordered. It wasnt a big deal and they fixed the issue, but there was also a line almost out the door by the time they got around to making it. Seems like a simple staffing issue, in that respect.
This is a fantastic little place. Delicious food, friendly service. I had the vegan French toast with vegan butter. So good!!! Got the vegan spicy quesadillas for later! Great vegan options! Went back the next day for the bean burger. SO good. And get the green smoothie! Fantastic
A bright, happy little cafe decked out with quirky decor made by local artists. The service is quick, the food offerings are fresh, nutrient-dense, and can be prepared to accommodate most diets (including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options) without compromising flavor. I stopped in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast bowl with kimchi — a veggie-packed and colorful option which was filling without being heavy. If you are trying to eat a more plant-based diet, I highly recommend this lovey spot for breakfast or lunch.
Very good breakfast. Nice clean ambiance. Nice people
The food was good. I enjoyed the menus variety and the staff willingness to work around food allergies.I felt like I was eating at my eccentric aunts house who combines a little bit of every culture into one spot.I know the atmosphere will appeal to some people. But I didnt enjoy it.
The vegan breakfast bowl was FREAKING DEVINE. Wish this place was in my city!
Some great vegan choices on the menu. Would love to go back!
Everything about this place is amazing. We drive through Wichita on our way to Colorado. Not much along the Kansas road to eat if you only eat plants. My hubby is Omni and I’m Veg. This place satisfied us all, including my picky veg 5 yo. Will stop here every time.
Unique fare, interesting small business vibe and a comfortable atmosphere. This is a small gem I look forward to going back to
I am so happy to finally make the time to eat here. I went to brunch with a friend and she equally loved it. Its a small place but they offer parking and plenty of seating. I was afraid we would have to wait because its a small place. The coffee is self serve once you order, they do not offer regular granulated sugar. Only raw and other options that I honestly did not try.
Would have been a 5 star but the food was expensive. For healthy food it was really good. Got me some biscuits and gravy, a side of 2 eggs, and hash browns and it cost me about 18 dollars
Maybe it cause its mothers Day but waited 30 minutes to order and a hour for food.
