Lady at the service desk was very kind and helpful. And the mechanic is very knowledgeable about the things he was doing. If he wasnt sure about certain things, he called someone who did. They both did everything in their power to help get me back on the road. Thanks
Extremely helpful, very friendly. Very cost conscious. I recommend that anyone who needs help or service, see them first.
I had a sensor that was giving a false reading and could have shut me down completely. I called ahead and explained to Jamie in service that I wanted the ECM to be reprogramed to warn me when that sensor went off instead of shutting me down.I would take the time to replace the sensor closer to home at a later date.Jamie and Keith understood exactly what needed to be done. They had a guy in the bus with a computer and the ECM parameters set to my specifications in a jiffy.Their yard is not all that big in the front, but I parked next to the curb in the street and they did the programming right there.I had never been there before, but they treated me great and charged me fairly.
Awesome the quickest place you want to come!!! They have the parts and they are quick and effective I was here today for only 3 hours got the problem fixed and I’m rolling...Thomas is the man!!!! To talk to very knowledgeable.
Knowledge staff
Went I. For a fuel filter, was told by parts department that they didnt carry skid steer parts. Called back next morning with part number, didnt tell them that it was for skid steer. Said it was a good number but would have to order it. I drove to APD in Sublet, they had 5 sitting on the shelf.
These guys didnt treat me too well as far as employment goes. At the time of my interview, every bay had a truck in it and every bay had a truck outside of it. Their job recruiting site had multiple openings, interview ended with a handshake after wage discussion and there was a sign outside with job openings advertised. For some reason, I got a call four days later saying there wasnt enough work to employ me. My confusion is at an all time high and nothing makes sense.
Worst company in Wichita to deal with. Did work on my transmission twice in 3 weeks (Paid more than $5000) and in 4 months transmission fell in Salt Lake City, UT. Towed it to Freightliner dealer and they conformed that it was holding on 1 bolt. Had to pay $5900 again to fix all the damages on my truck. Central power did not want to take responsibility to the failure of their workmanship.
The guys here got me in right away to replace some steering components on my truck. They even took it to another business across the street when they were done to get an alignment since they do not do alignments. The cost was very fair for the work done and the convenience of not having to get the alignment done myself afterwards was very nice.
This company has gone above and beyond to help me in maintaining my fleet. They have always far exceeded my expectations. They will go out of their way to make sure any issues you have are taken care of in a timely manner and they work the do is exemplary.
They got us in quickly, kept us updated as they troubleshooted. The customer service is great, techs are friendly and knowledgeable but we where on a load and they let us leave with out thoroughly finishing the job. We got about 10 miles away and had to be towed back (got towed there earlier that day) it was very late and Alex the manager stayed up all night with another mechanic and worked on it until they got it right. It was hard on us all, but our truck is up and running. They where very fair on labor costs as well. We where charged nothing extra when we had to come back for more diagnostic and repair. We would come back if in the area thanks for your hard work guys! We know our truck gave ya a hard time. LOL 😉
Driving thru KS my coach started acting up and I found this shop to help. Tom and Bob jumped on this problem right when I drove in. Great communication and diagnostic approach. Knowledgeable people and a great experience.
Management is not organized. The shop wouldnt be open if it wasnt for customers returning. Untrained personnel taking to long to diagnose issues. Techs break other parts performing repairs. Repairs preformed dont involve the actual problems. Safety is a big concern. Techs dont use proper equipment correctly. Parts takes three hours to two days getting parts that should be there for a service schudeled two days before. Wouldnt recommend anyone go to this Wichita central power location.
Good customer service. They always get me in almost immediately I show. Their techs and mechanics are very knowledgeable and courteous. Would recommend them all day every day
I brought my vehicle into their shop and they not only fixed the problem but they explained exactly what caused it, then they let me know what I can do to make sure it doesnt happen again!!
Dependable and knowledgeable staff at Central Power-- are able totroubleshoot and repair our Detroits efficiently and keep us updated on their progress.
Great shop that has quality work. Came to pick up my vehicle and an employee was out back eating beans.
I would not recommend them to any one my husband had his semi in there for a over Hall and was never right .he took it back several times telling them it had something wrong and they put him off . know 17 month later out of warranty and have to rebuild the motor so I would not use them at all they do not stand by there warranty and will cost you to take anything there they will nickle and dime you so go somewhere else I would recommend anywhere else but here
Had a driver call for some road service, 45 minutes later a guy showed up offering to help but turns out it wasnt even their tech! When my driver called central power they said “wait our guys never called you?” So who knows what the wait would have been! We let the giy from All American Roadside fix us up since they were there. Im sure the shop service is good with central power but for road service maybe try someone else!
Dont bother with this place. Management is a joke. Sure seems there are alot of chiefs and few Indians to do the work. Maybe if this place would stop running of all the help that they could maybe get something done.
Great customer service. Good prices. Convenient hours.
I had an issue with them Tuesday, they quoted me a price of $750 to fix both brakes on Axle 5. When they got done they handed me a bill for $1150 for the work. When I asked them why they quoted $750 and charged me more, their excuse was that the parts cost more money then they estimated, and they were not just going to give their labor away for free. They did not even have the courtesy to tell me it was going to be higher. All the shop foreman wanted to do was stand around and tell me how the last guy who did something on my trailer (repaired the wiring) had not done a good job.He also proceeded to tell me that his kids dont like him, after 15 minutes of talking to him, I can see why.
This is the place to go if you have leaking headgaskets that wont stay fixed.I have a MBE4000, and have replaced the heads individually and all at once before, and had the Devcon titanium putty used on the block. This is good but, for technical reasons I wont go into, this isnt enough. But I have very good reason to believe that we now have these intractable leaks fixed. And these guys may be the only ones in the world who know exactly how to do it.They are all universally nice and patient, and, unlike a lot of other shops, they communicate very well! That means a lot!The manager Keith, and Alex and the rest of the guys were great! There is a good place to park across the street, so you dont need to pull a trailer into their side. The best motel to stay in is the Red Roof, and cpower will take you to & from it. They have the least bedbugs according to the reviews.Again, if you have leaking headgaskets, especially the infamous MBE4000, or any other engine, ask them to fix it like they did mine. There is a solution...or at least it seems to be so far.
Great guys and gals and they know their stuff!!!
I brought in an RV (8.3 Cummins diesel pusher), they said they would look at it that night, I was there for 2 additional days. They changed the ECM in the transmission, quoted me $3,300, then tried to charge me $4,500 when I got there. Made it about 75 miles and the RV started doing the same thing again. The jerks dont know what they are doing & I doubt they even changed the ECM. Made it to York Nebraska and took it to Freightliner, the Tech there figured out in a couple of hours that it was a plugged check valve in front of the fuel filter, its been running perfect since. I tried to slip the Tech an extra $500 but he wouldnt take it. As for the asswipes at CP, Id just soon put a bullet in em
Dads RV started hard shifting on a road trip, took it in to Central in Wichita for diagnosis. Less than an hour later the problem was found and fixed. I was really worried that my elderly father could be over charged or jerked around, that was totally not the case. Professional and ethical staff. Thank you to Bob, the Allison technician that helped us. I would absolutely recommend.
Better watch your pockets. If timing allows, a second opinion would be advised.
When in to get a overall had a estimate at 15,000 and the service manager called me and said needs line boar and bull gear and then the price went to 22,040 go a head if it needs to be done and then call to see if my Truck is done and them told me it needed u joints and u bolts on rear end were loose I told them not to do anything else to my truck . so if you take your Truck in for a overall they will do it plus a lot more so have plenty of money .customer service is very good.THAT WAS IN JUNE NOW I HAVE A INJETER PROBLEM THAT CANT FIND UNDER WARRANTY THAT WHAT ME TO PAY 17 months later here i am overhauling my 60 series Detroit it was in there shop number of times to look at defrent thangs I ask them about the blow by thay said it was normal used one gallon oil every 10 miles ok but than about 9 mo in to it started more blow by 23 thousand later is what I played them know Im back to a overhaul I would have a defrent shop to do my work if I was u
My generator stopped I called they came out and said the battery was bad put in a new one and charged me 400.00 dollars. A week and half later it quit working again they came back and said the charger was not working and it was part of the control panel 850.00 dollars to replace. I call a different company they came out it turned out it was a 30.00 dollar charger in the switch box. Be aware of this place
Good cutomer service from the Generator Techs
These guys are awesome
Always takes care of us.!
