You get what you pay for! We ordered a bay window from champion back in 2018 It started leaking and caused mold to grow on the interior wood. After several different attempts to seal the problem area Champion came out and after 8 months replaced the entire bay window. Then about a month and a half ago one of the interior glass panes broke in two. ( Obviously a stress crack ) I informed champion and they said that they would charge me $100 for the trip. I said no way! We have had problems with this window since they installed it. I truly believe it is a product quality issue! We would never recommend champion to anyone although the prices are less than the competitors the product itself is evidently inferior! We will also be making a report to the better business bureau and consumer affairs to try to get our money back. We recommend anyone looking for Windows to compare quality to quality not price to price. We have had nothing but nightmares and will never recommend or use champion again! On top of all of the problems weve had it has been a very slow process and the Wichita, Ks office is slow to respond!
The salesman arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable about windows. He was able to answer all of our questions.
I have many products from Champion. Our siding, windows, doors and screened porch. The prices are great and the service is prompt if I need maintenance. I would recommend them.
The sales representative was courteous, knowledgeable and answered all our questions during the quote process. The quote was very competitive. The installation was timely after the quote was completed (within 4 weeks). The installers were professional, courteous and cleaned up their work space when done.Overall, pleasant experience! The only thing that I missed and wished was part of the process, is a Champions representative to actually visit the customers home and review the work with them to insure the customers full satisfaction. Wouldnt that guarantee repeat customers!!
I am unable to edit the original review of this organization so here is a re-review. Champion and the insurance company have completed the repairs and fixed the damage to the area above my garage as well as went around the house to repair all other defective craftsmanship from the original installer. Geronimo was the repair technician and he did an amazing job, the 2 day job turned in a to a single day with him and his helper working a long day. Geronimo is a true craftsman. Scott has also gone great lengths to help improve the deteriorated relationship between their organization and myself. I appreciate all that has been done to rectify the situation. I hope their organization continues to strive for customer excellence. i will say I did find out things though the previous heated conversations that if I would have known before it might not have got to the point it did. Keep up the good work!ProsLooks greatVastly improved customer serviceImproved communicationConsHopefully none
The sales representative S. Gamble was courteous, knowledgeable and answered all our questions during the quote process. I can’t wait till my window is installed
They were initially fairly quick to respond and got someone out here right away but after that they haven’t gotten back to me with the estimate. Called the office multiple times and kept telling me oh we’ll get back to you in the next couple days and tells me the same thing every time I call. That was summer of 2019. Called them again 2 weeks ago told me the same thing and here we are still no estimate.
I was impressed with the info and then the windows description. Anthony Lester was very thorough and I am pleased with the professionalism shown and looking forward to the installation. Job well done!
I am extremely pleased with my new sun room. It was completed weeks ahead of the original schedule. The quality of the product is excellent and the installers (Joshua Perez and Wyatt Anderson) did a wonderful job, as did the cement contractor and the electrical contractor. All of the workers were professional, respectful, prompt, skillful, and pleasant to be around. They took extra care to protect my gardens and lawn, and cleaned up everything once they were done. I couldnt be more pleased with my experience!!
Great people, highly skilled and very punctual and honest. Mr Love helped with pricing and was extremely charming in his demeanor. Thanks all!
Salesman was polite & informative about Champion windows. The windows have not been installed yet.
The window install went as planned and the windows looked fine this was this was in early 2017 . The biggest problem I have with Champion is their service after the fact and the rudeness of the office staff when I called. A few months after installation we were unable to remove the screens so I called. Two service men came out and agreed the screens were faulty and wrote an order to replace them. That was the last a heard from them regarding the screen replacements. Fast forward to fall of of 2019. We had hail damage to the vinyl window wraps we were given insurance money to replace them. I called Champion so they would be replaced. First call their system was down so they couldnt find our file, they were to call be back. they didnt, several days later I called them to once again explain what I wanted and had been waiting for a return call. I guess this made her irritated so the rest of the conversation she was very rude to me. I said I wanted to replace the frames and needed a price quote and time frame to replace. Next she pretty much called me a lair when I corrected her after she said okay for two windows and I said no for three. She got angry and insisted we only got two windows from them when in fact we got three. She was arguing with me finally she said oh you did get three I found your file. She didnt apologize for her rudeness. she said the price was $200 per window, I said okay when could they be installed. Again she got angry and said what do you expect me to do pull people from other jobs I said no, I just wanted to schedule and know the timing. She said fine I will order the window frames and call you for install date probably in mid-December. Well its late January and I have never heard a word. We were getting new gutter from a different company so I asked about the window frames. He said yes they could easily add that to the work order. Three weeks later I had new gutters and new windows frames which I like the color of much better. I have not called Champion to cancel the order which I doubt was never placed anyway, Im just curious if the frames were ordered or if they ever planned on getting them. I was just reading my guarantee we were given. It reads No charge for any screen repair for unlimited occurrences. Guess they have no intention of honoring that guarantee and dont want to be bothered by a customer to replace (at my cost) window frames.
I am very pleased with our patio room, the employees really take pride in their work. I look forward to getting Champion windows in the future, its true what they say you get what you pay for and I will go to Champion Windows for the best quality work and products.Thank you for all your hard work!!
This is our second experience with Champion windows. We are very pleased with our windows and most importantly the installer, Jeremy. He did a wonderful job and the windows and doors look and work great! We appreciate his efforts and work ethic and professionalism. We will gladly recommend your company to others.
Jeremy did an awesome job putting all the windows in my house and being great with my 5 yr old and our dog while they followed him around. The windows look great love them. Thanks again Jeremy!!
Door is falling apart door handle defective rails are defective telling me that this is my responsibility and that I need to pay for everything myself these came with a lifetime warranty!!!one excuse after the other not to warranty these stores $20,000 worth in this house no way will I ever give champion any recommendation!!!
Work was completed on time and beyond my expectation. Any window or siding needs in the future will be going to Champion! Thanks again guys :)
Wood not rackamened at all
My Champion all season sunroom has been a great addition to my home and my life. Great support from everyone at Champion.
Champion used a subpar subcontractor (streamline services) for a full remodel on my home’s exterior. The subcontractor told me they ordered the wrong size window when in truth they had not been trained by champion on how to put in a window. In the 2 years since its completion I have had to have in upwards of 15 service calls for leaks and siding falling off my house starting less than 3 months after completion. I have currently been tryin to get them out for 2 months for a leak over my garage.ProsLooks niceConsTerrible workmanshipTerrible customer serviceUntrustworthyOverpriced for what you getUses untrained subcontractors
Two glass block windows were installed. Salesman promised rot and water damaged areas would be torn out and repaired before new windows installed. Installer had no knowledge of this deal and it was not his intention to fix the damage before installing the new windows....he had limited time and couldnt wait around for joint compound to dry. Salesman promised he would come and personally patch up the water damaged area....he never showed up. Therefore I jumped in and quickly tried to extract the damaged dry wall. The installer did his best too....but there was still rot and water damage that was not repaired. The new windows were installed with some rot and rust underneath. Additionally, the installer used non-paintable caulking for the install. This was a problem because later when we painted the room the paint would not stick to the caulking. The large glass block window in the master is crooked. Also, the large glass block windows individual blocks are not uniform....sales did not disclose that it would look this way. Sales also did not inform us the frame ledge would be smaller....half of the original window. Window blinds now do not fit. Over all it was a painful experience filled with misunderstandings, miscommunications and product not as promised. Called Campion and a manager is working on a service order and looking into the whole incident. Cautiously optimistic...and will wait and see what can be done.
I love these windows. Lifetime warranty with them as well as long as you own the home. These windows keep the cold, hot, and noise out.
I have windows that are hard to open since they were put in 5 years ago. Champion has sent a repair person out several times and they are no better. They have a life time warranty, but now Im being told there is a $90 trip charge. So what if they cant fix them this time. Another $90.Read the fine print and check reviews before making an expensive decision you regret...like me! Make sure you read all the negative reviews. Just Google Champion Window Reviews. I was shocked at all the negative ones.
Really Really disappointed in this company!! I know things can happen, but when you spend this kind of money forwindows, you expect for the installers to show up!! Your company set the date and how hard was it to give us a call to let us know that you werent coming!Champion gave us all sorts of justifications and reasons after we called them. Really, thats not our fault how you run a BUSINESS! Its called communication and meeting your customers needs. You need to hire someone thats qualified in people skills, communication and with field technology.Lets see how the next appointment goes with the installation of our windows. Not a way to run a business, so disappointed:(
Well, the initial build of our sun room was excellent, workers were great and got the job completed in a timely manner.Fast forward 8 years to this year and we started with the screens needing to be replaced due to hail damage, it took approximately 4 months to get them back and they are the plastic screen material not the metal that we paid to upgrade them to originally. Their Rep said they have to send this work out since they lost the technician that does the screen repair. Hate to say it like this, but thats not the customers problem! They were supposed to adjust all the windows and door at the same time as they dont all close and lock properly, they have NOT completed this yet and its going on around 8 months!!! Terrible customer service, lack of return phone calls or just communicating with us to give any type of update. When originally built, I wouldve recommended Champion to everyone, after this ordeal I am not sure that I would recommend them to anyone!Still waiting on a return call from 2 months ago as to when they will be out to fix these issues.Had to leave 1 star, wouldnt let me post this without selecting something.
Mr. Daniel,I am sorry to hear that you are so disappointed in my team...which is a reflection on me. Yours is the first negative Google review for Champion Windows of Wichita...the first! The warranty clearly states in a large, type-set font, that There is a nominal trip charge after two years for all service calls. The Champion warranty has no fine print. It is the policy of this affiliate that we will NOT charge our customers twice for the same repair.Regards,Tad Albright - Division Manager
Updated with edits at the end. Champion is fixing contractual issue.Updated with edits at end. Champion completed job 8/20/18, 5 months after initial order.Champion Windows in breach of contract. On 3/19/18, we ordered 13 windows. According to the contract, payments will be made as follows:1) downpayment of 1/3 up front2) remainder due upon completed installationOn our purchase we used a financing company (Greensky) with a ‘same as cash’ offer. On 5/16 - Champion installed 12 of the 13 windows the last window hadn’t been shipped by the manufacturer. On 5/18 - Champion came back out to fix sealing around windows. The window that had not shipped sat on top of one which was received and in that wall we could see daylight through in fairly large section around the window. The 13th window finally came and was installed on 6/12. However they did not have the right trim which was for the custom rounded window and had to order the trim.A few days later, I got a document to sign stating that the job was complete. I refused to sign and contacted the company stating the job was NOT done.On 7/20 - I got a bill from Greensky showing that Champion charged the account for the final balance on 6/20 which was not to happen until installation was complete which it still is not.On 7/20 complained to Champion (receptionist with no information on timelines or why Greensky was charged). I also called Greensky to get the charges reversed and will hear back about that in the next few days. Still had a copy of the contract to send to Greensky for documentation. On several other occasions I have called looking for when my parts would be in (both window and trim) and all I hear is “I’ll check”. Only once have they even bothered calling back to tell me they have no information. This has been a VERY frustrating experience and way too drawn out. Having said that, I do like the windows and how they keep the heat out.Edit: 7/23 received a call from division level management who stated that agreed that charges should not have been made and would be returned to credit company until job completion.Following edit made 8/20:Jul 30 - received an email stating trim was on truck and would be in following weekAug 9 - Contacted Champion for update - trim still in on truck status and would be delivered following weekAug 16- Contacted Champion for update - trim was in and scheduled install for Aug 20Aug 20 - job completed
Our sunroom is very nice. The builders did a good job and cleaned up well while working on our sunroom. We will have many hours of enjoyment out there. Our sunroom was promised, by our salesman, to be done by the middle of August and it finally got done the end of Nov. We understand delays and other things come up but we would have liked to have known what was going on My husband asked and asked to see blueprints of the sunroom before they started building it(but no one ever seemed to want to show him the drawings). Anyway, the sunroom looks great but there was little things that bothered us that we felt could have been taken care of before we had problems if we could have seen some drawings or there had been better communication. A few things that resulted in needless extra trips to our house: the number of outlets in our LARGE sunroom and where the outlets were placed-(the electrician put electric outlets in the way of the barn door we planned to use and so the outlets had to be moved but it took many visits from the electrician to get this right)and (my husband had to work in the sunroom on the flooring with a spotlight because Champion was unaware that the electricity wasnt working after the electrician had been here numerous times to try and move and replace wiring and outlets), replacing/fixing siding/bricks, and fixing the latches on the windows. Finally my husband went ahead and did some of the work on his own because we never could get everything quite done on some of the problems we were having.Another thing that is bothersome: why do we have such a small sliding door (makes it virtually impossible to get regular size couches in and out of the room unless we raise/lift the couch up and go through one full size window- which is not easy to do-(again seeing blueprints would probably have changed this). Our salesman talked and raved about how wonderful the Champion windows are and how great they were going to be in our sunroom(keeping heat out and keeping the room cool in the summer) but Im telling you its a good thing we spent an extra $3000+ to buy a heater/air conditioner for the sunroom because I think the sunroom would have been virtually unusable in the winter because it would have been too cold and Im worried itll be the same in the summer-too hot).Any questions/ problems we had seemed to take numerous calls but eventually I think most of the little things were taken care of. And once Champion thinks they are done with your job they want to be paid immediately(Champion had my husband sign a paper saying the sunroom was done and it really wasnt quite done so I told them I wouldnt pay them the other 1/2 until everything(little problems or not)was done). So if youre in a hurry to get work done by Champion youll probably have to be patient and make sure you see blueprints/ drawings before they start any job because it will eliminate a lot of problems later. One more comment: we referred our friends to use Champion because they are adding on a sunroom(they have signed a contract- Champion said they wouldnt send out a check-$100 until the customer signs a contract which they have done but Champion seems to be in no hurry to send us a check).6/01/18-Still WAITING on the $100 referral check. We have called and even the friends we referred have called Champion numerous times trying to get this $100 check sent to us. Our friends sunroom was done last November 2017. I dont know why Champion advertises $100 referrals because they obviously dont really mean it. We have been given many excuses as to why we havent gotten this check: we had to wait until our friends signed their contract for their sunroom(obviously that time has passed), Champion said they would have to check on this(many times theyve said this), the check has to come from Cincinnati, the check is in the mail(again theyve said this 2, 3 or 4 times) and weve gotten NO check. I realize $100 is not really that much money but why say youre going to do this and you dont? Disappointed.
The owner is a hot head tring to control everything around him looking to always start a fight
