I went in with the woman to get her first guitar. Neither of us know much about guitars, but Steve really helped us figure out what would be a good starter for her. The selection of guitars, and other instruments was pretty good. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be going back.

I bought a Yahama electronic piano from Seneney Music, and I am so glad that I did. There are many decisions to make before buying and I was helped through the process by one of their staff persons who listened for what I needed and guided me through the process. I appreciate the excellent customer attention I received at Senseney.

This place is like a museum and the staff are like curators. If you have a question probably anyone that works there has an answer. You can go there just to look and not leave there disappointed. The instruments that they have there are really beautiful. I dont use that word often. And also the prices were not super exorbitant. I will go there again.

I have only had an instrument repaired here. I had a 1928 violin that needed some restoration done. Repairing an instrument can be expensive. I had to split this into 2 different operations. I would recommend I just wasnt prepared for the amount of the repairs. They will give you an estimate up front so I actually knew that.

I hate having to leave a negative review especially for a local place like this but this experience really bothered me. I brought my instrument in for repair and the lady who was extremely rude by the way called me to let me know the cost of the repair but also said I had to pay for the repairs over the phone or I could send a check but that they would not start on the repair until they received the money.I thought this was odd b/c the instrument was worth a lot more than the repairs needed and I have never been asked to pay for repairs in advance at other places.When my husband picked up the repair we were asked to pay for the repair and my husband said we already paid for it. They told Him that they never ask for money in advance for a repair but we explained to them what this person said to us when they called and it turns out they did have my CC number on file. I was happy with the repairs but the lack of organization up front and the rude lady calling me about the repair was unsettling.

Today was my first time coming to this place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the man at the front desk. I told him a list of things that I needed to purchase. He gladly helped me by pointing out the area that I needed to go in to find what I wanted. Before he could finish telling me where to go, an older gentleman came over and walked with me to where I needed to go. He asked what all I needed to get and within a minute he had personally found everything that I needed and gave it to me. He was extremely nice! As I was at the front desk paying, the man who greeted me when I walked in was being very nice and polite. If I need anything in the future thats music related, this is definitely the only place Ill go to!

My first purchase at Senseney was a Breedlove guitar in 2004. Recently, Ive purchased a Taylor Academy 12 and a Taylor Academy 10. Prices were the same as ordering from any number of stores online, and I had the added plus of having the store staff make sure the guitars were well set-up. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and most courteous and helpful, but not pushy. Ive special-ordered a couple of things and found them to be very price-competitive, again, with the service that goes along with purchasing in a bricks and mortar store.

My daughter needed a 3/4 size cello for school. Staff were able to find me a gently used one for rent, a starter kit, they tuned it and answered all my questions in detail. The process to rent the cello was quick and easy. I did my research first and other options in the area either quit offering renting, didnt answer their phones or had poor customer service. I am happy with our service at Senseney and would highly recommend.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you need it, they most likely have it and if they dont, they can order it. Ive purchased two instruments from them (a trumpet and a flugelhorn) and they have proven to be of the highest quality. Ive also come to Senseney for instrument repairs and in my experience, theyve always done a great job. Overall, Id honestly say this is the best music store in Wichita.

We have bought several guitars and a lot of supplies there and they appeared to be very credible! In fact, they make an effort to tell you that if your unhappy with the guitar, they will sell it on consignment....Over the last year, we have attempted to consign several guitars that we bought there, (and two that we didnt,) and were turned down each time! While they have nice sales people and a decent selection and prices, I dont like it when a company doesnt back up their word! Thats an automatic 1 star as far as Im concerned! For this reason, we will be spending our money at other (mom and pop) stores in town!

They also have many instruments as well as childrens toy instruments and fun gifts for musicians.They even offer a wide variety of music lessons at their facility.

This is by far the most professional music store in Wichita. From Grand Pianos to Banjos, and Tromboners to Oboes, Senseney can sell, rent, or refurbish any instrument. I always have a great experience with the staff, and have never been kicked off an instrument for testing it out. Very classy place as well. I love guitar center, but you dont get the swarm of wannabe rock stars being obnoxiously loud like you do at Guitar Center. The prices are definitely higher than guitar center prices, but the inventory here is geared toward band, orchestra, and jazz bands instead of Rock, electronic, and acoustic like Guitar Center. I only make these comparisons because Guitar Center is the only other MAJOR music outlet in Wichita.

Hate going in here because the staff always seems like they are too busy to assist you. Only went in for an orchestra book for my daughter which they didnt have, so they ordered it. Went in a week later to pick it up and spent more time waiting on assistance than we spent originally looking for it. It seems if you dont have $100 bills hanging out of your pockets when you walk in, they couldnt care less if you get helped. I loathe going here but its the only game in town for what we need. Id rather buy online.

We are renting a sax from them and a screw fell out and it couldnt be played. They fixed it for free with no hassle or paperwork and even checked to make sure everything else was in good working order.

Senseney Music offers a great deal of services when it comes to instruments and music needs, from lessons to instrument rentals to everything in between. I dont have a lot of knowledge about most of what they offer, so my review is strictly in reference to the small area of the store Im familiar with.When it comes to piano music, Senseney has everything a beginner needs. I decided to pick up the piano as an adult and use a self-teaching book, which I found at Senseney. This was recommended by the sweet and wonderful Ms. DeAnn. I had almost finished the book, but I felt like I needed more reenforcement of what I had learned before moving on, and she again came to the rescue, recommending several wonderful books.The books she pointed me towards are perfect, and not just because shes suggesting random books. Instead, she took the time to ask me where I was at in my learning, what I hoped to focus on, and what my general learning style was. Shes definitely familiar with all the different piano curriculum, because she was able to locate two fantastic series that have been perfect for me. When one book in the series was out of stock, she ordered it to the store for me, and it arrived promptly.The prices of music books here are also excellent as well -- cheaper than the popular online book sellers, in most cases.While I cant recommend Senseney for most of what they offer - for example, Im not really sure how competitive they are in terms of instrument rentals or percussion music - I can definitely recommend them for their piano music, due in large part to their wonderful staff and low prices.

Call to ask for how much would it cost to service the saxophone The lady on the service department was very rude and unprofessional and was not willing to give me a estimate of how much it would cost I understand that they need the instrument to be on site but I was just asking for a ballpark estimate she was unwilling to do that for me . Call your competitors on Douglas street they were able to help me and give me a price over the phone took my instrument to them right away .

About 5 years ago in 5th grade our band teacher brought this company in to try to get the kids and there parents to buy instruments for the following year and years beyond hopefully, well like most 5th grader i thought i knew what i wanted and begged my dad to buy it and he gave in and like wise i only did band in 6th grade for a semester because i hated it my father bought a flute from this company for $700+ and later i found out the flute we bought was a $75 flute this band teacher then left
