What a hidden gold mine of great discs! Awesome selection of disc golf supplies, much better than the big box stores. The owner is nice, knowledgeable, and very patient. Be willing to spend some time looking through the rest of the store too, really cool stuff.

Its a great location to meetup with friends and enjoy a good night of gaming, and a welcoming place for newcomers to follow store events. The staff are considerate of their customers and provide excellent service and information.

Visited there today (8/13) just for my friend to buy some toploaders and had a great, informative conversation with Ryan. I will recommend this place to anybody and appreciate the transparency they offer. A business you can trust giving your money.

Great addition to Wilkes-Barre and surrounding area..all the table top stuff like Pokemon, Magic, and everything Else tabletop im not aware of im sure they got it.. If your a discgolfer they got you covered, a growing variety of Discs clothing hats and bags.. Dont have what your looking for make a suggestion im sure they will get it.

As of this writing, its difficult to find Evolution Games if youre new to it. The current entrance is a lighted concrete stairwell down the back of the building, and through a corridor that -- if you werent assured that there were a game shop at the end -- you might just suppose youre trespassing in a basement.But theres a shop in there alright, with lots of gaming space and (as of my first visit to it) a friendly, welcoming crowd of gamers. In my first hours at Evolution, I got into some great gaming conversations, was invited into a boardgame, and heard some fun tales of Gaming Past.Im a newcomer to town so my perspective on the shop is not long term, but it made an excellent first impression.

The best game store in the area. Friendly staff with welcoming gamer customers gives this a good place to buy and play board, role play, collectable card, and miniature games. Only negative is lack of signage for new customers looking so if you have not been there take a moment to call ahead.

Great, inclusive place to play and shop

Ive been to a lot of local games stores in a lot of states (and even owned my own for two years). Sword in the Stone (Evolution until recently) has been my favorite, and it comes down to one primary factor: community. In the time Ive been going here, the owners and regulars have consistently put in the effort to make the place welcoming and better, from taking feedback on drafts (this has included things like flattening prize structure and offering a wider variety of drafts as a format gets long in the tooth) to acquiring and fixing up a street-level storefront as a new face to the place to having an actual community manager who is present on their Facebook and Discord to help people with questions. Ive seen parents come in to buy a board game or Magic cards for themselves, only for their child to suddenly be involved in a real conversation with customers playing a game. Its one of the more diverse gaming communities youll find in the area. And, to top it all off, my eight-year-old daughter loves going there, even if its just to hang out with people (she made her first Magic trades there, and I never feared for a second that anyone was going to try to rip her off). Five stars.

Ive been coming here about a year and I have to say that the variety of games they sell and the variety of events they host is wonderful! Plus, the deli has the most creative, fresh, delicious food in the valley. Great food, plus a place to let my nerd flag fly free = 5 stars in my book!

Great way to get some gaming in and find people with similar hobbies. I come here to kill some time with friends and get some excellent food at the adjacent deli. The owner is a great person to talk to and the crowd is usually respectful and fun to hand around.
