Randy Hilliard you go way above and beyond with your customer service, and friendly/funny personality. We order parts from Mills everyday for Johns Auto Body in Minot, ND; and could not ask for a better company or sales rep to deal with! Randy, you are much more than a sales rep to us here; we consider you a friend! Keep up the great service guys!

Randy Hilliard is an amazing parts guy......I call and he is always there to help ....the service he provides is second to none and mills parts center is lucky to have him. If there is any change in status on your order he notifies you personally you never have to worry about getting the right part or it not showing up if you have called and ordered from him. Thanks for all your hard work Randy!!!

I own a body shop in North Dakota. For years, Mills has been fabulous to work with. Over the last 4 months or so, the service has gone downhill to where it is absolutely terrible. Our parts have not been delivered when promised, we receive parts without an invoice so we waste time trying to figure out what vehicle it belongs to, or they are not the correct parts. They are killing our cycle time. The delays and wrong parts cause the vehicles we are repairing to be delayed, which hurts our customer service. Our time is wasted trying to figure out when the parts will actually arrive since too many dont arrive when promised. The feeling I get from management is that Mills is so big, this doesnt matter. Well, it matters to me. Our reputation is on the line. On a side note, the parts representatives we work with are fabulous. I know the issue does not lie with them. I am frustrated because I like working with them, but I have to go elsewhere to get our parts on time.

Used to be a good place for my shop to get parts. Since the new management has gone down hill a lot things need to be changed. You can call and try to talk to a manager but they know of the problem won’t answer and ignore you. Stay away if you can it’s for your good.Update if you notice they won’t even respond to the reviews on google anymore.

Where to begin. Most personnel you get on the phone are grumpy, short and complacent. Hold times are 15-30 min. And even if you give them part numbers to order for you, they still mess up the order, and give you the wrong parts. When mistakes are made, which i understand they will, very little offer to make it right, or apology for it. The only credit i can give this company is that there delivery drivers are friendly, and willing to help.Update: 2/07/19Gets worse every time i work with them. cant get through on the phone still. They have a contact us on the website page, but they dont contact you. There parts personnel is very complacent, think they know more than anyone else. I order a part, and get something totally different because they think thats what i actually needed. Ive been in the business for 16 years, if i order the wrong, part, its my own fault! Probably going to be shutting the door on this relation pretty darn soon. Sad thing is, they have the potential to be the best in the area, just poor practices.

Definitely not a place to apply for a job at.I applied for a warehouse position with this company. They gave me two interviews and then sent me the rejected e-mail. The e-mail is as follows:,Thank you for applying and interviewing for the Warehouse Team Member position with the Mills Automotive Group. We enjoyed meeting with you to more fully explore our mutual interests. We found ourselves in the fortunate position of having a wide range of qualified candidates from which to choose. We were impressed with your background and experience, but at this time we are pursuing other options for filling the position. Please feel free to apply for open positions, for which you qualify, in our company in the future. We wish you every personal and professional success with your job search. Thank you again for your interest in our Company. The Mills Automotive Group-- So, I sent an e-mail to Wendy in HR at the Brainerd/Baxter location and have never even received a courtesy response.I asked the following based off the e-mail.1.) They had a wide range of candidates for the position (which means they have already selected the candidates because they gave me the rejection already), but yet they still had an interview set up for a friend of mine 4 days later from the receipt of my e-mail. If they had candidates, then why are they still doing interviews and rejecting me?2.) If they had many qualified candidates to choose from, then why did they say they are pursuing other options for fulfilling the position?3.) If they were impressed by my background and experience, then why would I not be a good fit for the position?4.) By the background and experience statement, they made it sound like I had what it took for the position, but later state feel free to apply for positions within the company FOR WHICH I QUALIFY which means regardless of my background and experience, that I am not a good fit for the position.5.) My friend who had that interview 4 days later, just had a third interview now and during the interview they stated, they want a younger generation of people to help the company grow. With that statement being made, by them denying me a job basically called me old and I am 38 which is seriously not that old. They are also saying that older people cannot help the company grow. Then why are there older people working there now? When they showed me around the facility, I saw people who were older than me working there. How come they were hired? Or how come they were not fired? I am confused.6.) I have 10 years of management where I presently work come November of this year. Makes me a reliable, responsible, and trustworthy individual with a sense of dedication to a company. I also have warehouse experience. My friend who had a third interview and has gotten further than me only has 1 year of management and no warehouse experience.---So, all around, I dont recommend this place as a place to work unless you want discrimination, judgmental biasing, who lacks communication with people, and cant be trusted based off the information I have just provided. They are disorganized, that the girl at the front counter told the 2 people I had to interview with that I was at the front counter waiting for them and she said they are congregating at the moment and would be with me shortly. I was there 10 minutes early. I get a phone call from Wendy in HR asking if I was coming to my interview. I tell her that I am sitting at the counter inside the building and the girl had informed them that I was there. Wendy then states they never heard anything and presumed I wasnt there. What kind of place can run with this kind of disorganization? Sad.So, anyways, there is my feedback and review of Mills. While the people are genuinely nice, they also cant be trusted as you can see.

Just had a run-in today around noon with a delivery truck driver in Ortonville, MN who was blocking the exit of a one-way alley behind by an apartment building that I work at. The driver CLEARLY had more than enough room to park his truck just off a bit more to the side in a more suitable lot. I yelled out my window telling him that hes blocking the exit and he proceeded to yell at me telling me he wasnt moving and its gonna be awhile! So my only option was to drive backwards out of this one way alley! Wouldve he acted this same way if I were EMT in an ambulance?? If there was an emergency situation, he couldve been in BIG trouble for blocking the way out! You cant block entry and exit points on roadways dude...its that simple. I hope somebody talks to the guy about this cause he should not be driving a delivery truck if he cant obey traffic laws! A major high risk insurance liability if ya ask me! And just downright rude from the start!!
