If you’re looking to get your car fixed DO NOT BRING IT HERE! I called and tried to book an appointment on a friday due to availability and was told there was no availability. Bring my car in on monday and had to call Wednesday because i didnt hear anything from the guy. So finally he reaches back out on thursday and tells me he cant fix my car because there was no check engine light which is fine, but what isnt fine is how 100 miles were used on my car (mind you i only had a quarter tank) and nothing was figured out on top of the fact that my car was under “warranty” from the last time he “fixed” a sensor in my transmission. Write down all symptoms because you will get told you never said things as well 😂 if you do go here... good luck buddy

Always fair price. Always good quality

I went in for a oil change. Everything went great with the oil change. But when I got back in my car and I seen multiple black smudges on the ceiling of my car. I recommend that you guys be mindful of your hands when in someone elses car.

I had my brakes replaced at this location, They did a great job, were timely and efficient. I can say they stand behind their work, as took care of a warranty issue, Free of charge, No questions asked. In the back of my mind I was thinking if I owned a business I would have done the same.Its about doing the right thing and I cant say others would have done the same. I have taken multiple cars to these guys on multiple occasions now and I get the same great service every single time. They always get my car in right away to figure out whats wrong. They always know exactly what is causing the problem, never any guess work. And they always take care of the problem quickly and correctly the very first time.

Guys are very knowledgeable, luckily I have an extended warranty on my Chevy avalanche, but they swapped out the transmission and changed all the lines, gaskets, and filter in less than a week, even wanted me to come back in for a courtesy inspection. Might be my new mechanics from now on.

Dont you love it when in this day and age you can still find reasonable and fair technicians in the repair industry, especially automobiles. Congratulations! You found them.Visiting the city to see friends and family at graduation time. Made it a weekend and brought my 8 year old daughter with me to show her the great city I remember. Had to see why I bleed black and gold. Not just the sports but the people. Alternator died while in tahn. No leaving until it was fixed. Had to be back to help my wife and senior boy get ready for his graduation as well as for daughters elementary school graduation. No limit on what was going to be paid to make it back for those things. Called AAMCO. I have my guy at my Bloomfield NJ, AAMCO, and Mike has always taken care of us. Did I mention I have my 8 year old daughter with me, we had checked out of our hotel and our luggage was in the car?Long story short. I was upfront with Mark when I called. He knew my situation. Bring it over this morning. He says. Well diagnose the issue and hopefully get you on your way. My car died, literally, as we pulled into the AAMCO driveway. That was 9:30. 12:PM or so I get a call. Cars done. Runs great. No issues. Big jump in gas mileage though. Probably due to new alternator. Im not going to talk about what it cost because every automobiles situation is different. Suffice it to say if I had gotten that quote from my guy Mike in Bloomfield, NJ, I would have thought that it was a very fair price and he and I do business all of the time. Thanks Mark. Murphy at AAMCO Transmissions is the only shop I will take my cars to, despite living a hour from his shop. Friendly and knowledgeable they will take care of you. I cant recommend Willoughby AAMCO enough. My 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix has been running on a transmission rebuilt by Willoughby AAMCO for 5+ years.

In December 2014, my 1996 Winnebego Riatas transmission died. My Rialta is a bit of a special snowflake, but Murphy and his crew took special care to make sure I was back on the road as soon as possible. I ended up staying at a local AirBnB for $35 a night while Murphys team worked on the repairs. Got me back on the road, and drove all the way from Cleveland to San Diego, California without a problem. Thanks Murphy, you are the best :)

Its been our main mechanical shop for last three years. it used to be located in Willoughby and moved to Mentor the last year. We didnt mind to follow. It is very hard to find an honest and professional mechanic now days. We found this Aamco shop when transmission went out on our 2002 Honda Odyssey. Murphy, the owner, answered all our questions and gave us a price quote no other transmission shops could touch. After four days in the shop, we drove off with rebuilt transmission. Since then, we never took our cars to any other shops, but Aamco Mentor/Willoughby. They have fixed for us everything from simple brake issues to transmission rebuilt and complex electrical problems.
