If I could give less than one star, I would. The staff fail at very simple tasks and lie directly to you.We had several staff members say a prescription required prior authorization and I waited a week and a half for this authorization.IF THEY TELL YOU THIS SWITCH PHARMACIES. THEY ADMITTED THAT SAYING YOU NEED A PRIOR AUTHORIZATION IS THEIR GO TO WHEN THEY CANT GET SOMETHING TO GO THROUGH.My doctors nurse called me and asked me if i had any idea why walmart was not letting me pick up my prescription when she had given them the authorization information a week ago. I then called my insurance who said it was covered, did not require a prior auth. and even what the price would be after insurance. We go back to the pharmacy, gave them the help desk number for our insurance to figure out what the problem is. I also refilled my daughters script so i could pick them together. Meanwhile I went to my doctors and had them call to walmart to make sure i can actually get my prescription that day. The pharmacy admitted to putting it in incorrectly several times and lied about a prior auth being required. My doctor requested that they send my script to the pharmacy at his building because theres no need to keep me running back and forth while they continue screwing up and not caring enough to fix it. Walmart refused to transfer my prescription and said they will have it ready for me the next day and said they worked so hard to get my script for me that they didnt see why they should transfer it. Next day they gave me the same crap that I needed prior authorization and bitched at me for telling them what happened the day before. I then asked for my daughters prescription that was right behind the woman and was told that the order was never put in and that the one behind her just happened to have the same first and last name and that i couldnt pick hers up until 5days later when they got more in. I told the lady to transfer it to giant eagle immediately and that i was done with them. We then walked around for about 45 minutes and checked back to make sure she actually transferred it. With no customers, they were all chatting with one another. So we called over to giant eagle and they said they didnt recieve it yet. While still on the phone my husband went up to the desk and said giant eagle is wondering, as well as us, why they havent recieved the transfer. The woman about an hour later now, finally does the transfer.We go to giant eagle, get both prescriptions in 15 minutes (while they entered insurance information) and got both for free.GO. TO. GIANT. EAGLE.Their staff are wonderful, quick, and knowledgeable. Getting scripts cheaper than walmart with none of the hassle or attitude is certainly worth the switch!
