I had the complete experience at Road Runner yesterday, and am very happy with it. Had my feet measured, scanned and analyzed. The results were interesting and helped narrow the search. My salesperson was patient working through the options, trying different insoles with the shoes. In the end I bought two types of shoes that I can alternate, which was my intention. I actually enjoyed shopping and enjoyed running in new shoes today.

Harris was an excellent sales person. He helped find the exact shoe that I needed. Christian was very helpful with fitting me for my insole and checking me out at the register.

Hi! This specific Road Runner has been the best consistent shoe store for me these past couple of years. I have never gone anywhere else since stopping here. Ive known Road Runner expert Kyle for a few years now as well and hes never failed to get me a perfect pair of shoes. Kyle does a phenomenal job at finding items specifically for your need, as well he is one of the most kind, thoughtful people I have met. If you go to this Road Runner, I highly recommend seeking out Kyle if you need help. He truly works efficiently and feels like a friend rather than someone working there. I used to shop exclusively online but as a runner, I know that sometimes a shoe feels right in the store but not 15 miles in. I love that I can replace shoes if they aren’t good for me. It makes me focused on performance and not compromising. I also try new brands this way and usually in pleasantly surprised. Staff is very knowledgeable and if they aren’t, there is always at least one guru in the store so just ask fir the expert. Vip is worthwhile for sure too

Eileen helped us with a difficult to fit foot issue. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She also spent the time to stay with us until we were confident in our decision. I would recommend going to this location for any running shoe needs. Great customer service. Lots of stock and very well trained staff.

I am a long time half marathon runner, and my son runs varsity cross country for his high school. He needed shoes for the new season, and although we had always gone to Fleet Feet in the past, a friend recommended that we try your store, which is closer to our house. After waiting a while to even be acknowledged by someone when we came in, an associate finally came over and, without any greeting, said to my son, Let me guess. Youre running cross country and want shoes. (He did not acknowledge me at all.) My son told him which shoes he was looking for and asked about a different line of the same brand that you had on display, which he had heard about but never tried. The associates attitude was so smug and not at all friendly or helpful. He said, Yeah, you dont want those for distance running. When my son asked him to explain why not, the associate said, Look - I have a lot of shoes, and Ive run in all of them. Im telling you that theyre not good. Then he called across the floor to another associate, Hey, would you wear these for distance running? The other guy looked appropriately uncomfortable, but he answered no. Our associate asked him why not, and he answered, Theyre too comfy. Neither of us was satisfied with this answer, but it was the only one we were given.Our associate then asked my son why he was so hung up on this brand anyway. I cut in and said that he wore them last season and had a good experience in them, which seemed to annoy the associate. He asked for my sons shoe size (he did not take measurements) and agreed to get a pair of the shoes my son wore last season for him to try on. He brought them out and handed them to us, leaving us alone. My son put them on, but he wanted to try running in them since they were somewhat different from his old ones. Our associate came back several minutes later and asked if the shoes worked - seeming to want to close the sale. I asked if my son could use one of the treadmills. The associate sent us over to the machines, and my son ran for a few minutes. We went back to the bench we had been at the whole time, but the associate never came back. (I saw him hanging out at the side of the store.)My son and I left and went to Fleet Feet. We had a wonderful experience there, and he got a great pair of shoes.

Christian went above and beyond to help me out. Was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Took the time to go over a bunch of shoes and specs. Always love the service at RR. There were a couple of color options they did not carry. However, the service outweighed that small issue. Hopefully more color options will be available in the future. Until then, I will continue to shop at RR.

I was disappointed with my experience at this store. I arrived there at 5:15 on Tuesday and they were already closed. I decided to give them a second chance on Wednesday. Their prices were significantly more expensive than what I could find online. Their selection was also more limited. The staff were polite and helpful.

To come to the facility with their website that says 7 p.m. to arrive to a sign that says they closed because they dont have enough people to cover their store!! These locations are not easy to come by as it is.. People walking to the door and its locked.Came back today and was treated rudely by older gentleman when I asked how long the wait was?ade to wait because theyre short staffed again.People outside and doors locked. Management needs to step it up.

My daughter outgrew her shoe in a month. Being VIP member we were able to switch the shoe for a bigger size. They are very organized, looking up our account makes a new shoe hunt easier.

This was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. Ever. It was during the tent sale and while the Wilmette store will counter by saying a register was down, the 35 minute wait was attributed to how they handled that. They let people shopping inside the store cut in line when they were ready to purchase their items, disregarding those of us who waited after trying outside. That happened 3 times. Then there were two women ahead of me in line who had a ton of items, shoes and clothes. One woman purchased 4 pairs of shoes that had boxes which ill assume means they were new and three bras when I heard Christian say her total was 141 dollars. So I asked him if there was a discount on shoes since it was the last day of the tent sale. He replied, No, theres no discount for you. They work next door and we give them free stuff and discounts. No Im sorry you had to wait or anything. Next door was a Chicago Home Fitness or Great Escapes store. Will not go to that store again.

I was on my way back to Chicago from finishing a 100-mile race in Wisconsin.We were looking for a restroom, and saw that there was a Roadrunner on the way!We decided I needed recovery shoes, so we stopped for both of our needs to be filled. The manager and workers were INCREDIBLY kind and enthusiastic about my feat and feet.

First time to this store. Nick was very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. Im recovering from plantar fasciitis and he helped me with a custom insole and new running shoe. I would recommend coming in during the afternoon and ask for Nick.

Great section and service absolutely worth going in.

Loved getting shoes that I normally wouldn’t try on or think of buying. It needs to be organized somehow differently as it was hard to tell sizes an they were all mixed up. I’d love to see some kind of lights in the tent to be able to pick out items.The shoes that are a little more worn than others should be $40. vs $60.The most exceptional part was a woman who helped ( very tall, thin, wore Kinvaras, and forgot her name) who knew every shoe, every version of the shoes and which would work for each woman. She made the whole experience so useful and satisfying.I love getting new pairs, but some are far more worn than others.

I am very happy with my shoes. I am a nurse and walk for long hours. The shoes that were suggested by Sean, my fit expert are comfortable, with good support and cushion. Sean was very patient, knowledgeable, he answered all my questions. This will be my favorite place for sport shoes and I highly recommend it.

I actually had a really poor experience at Road Runner yesterday after years of loyal patronage. The sales person was not helpful and in fact was discouraging about some of the shoe choices that my wife was considering.The system of identifying shoes types that we have relied upon for years was not visible on the shoe wall. The selection and color options seemed way down compared to the past.If I am being honest, this experience is making me question my loyalty to RR. I may be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Update 6/26/21I responded to owners review and sent email. My email was never responded. Important to make this known.If you are a person of color you will not be welcomed nor acknowledged. I spend about 5 minutes there. No one offered help. It was obvious after some time time that no one was going to help me pick my shoes. The only reason I came to the store was because HOKA website recommended them. What a waste of my time. I will email HOKA about this as well.

My salesperson Kate was excellent! I recently began experiencing severe knee and joint pain when running outdoors, and Kate provided expert advice re: the best running shoe and arch supports for my condition.

Excellent service. I walked in at 6:30 when the shop closes at 7. I got complete attention and was able to find a pair of shoes that worked well for me. The sales person knew his shoes and sold me socks I might not have bought otherwise but I never felt like I was getting a hard sell. I left a 7:30 with shoes and socks and never realized what time it was until I left.

Walked in thinking i needed new shoes and walked with custom inserts, great advice on which type of shoes I needed and for the first time in a year, no pain in my left foot. None! Eileen worked her magic on my feet and I am grateful for her expertise and patience.

My trainer recommended this place because I was having knee pain. Christian was very helpful to find me shoes that were not only comfortable but also promote athletic performance. I worked out with my new shoes today and already see differences in my knees! One thing I would say is that there wasnt a good variety of color selections.
