Love, love, love this place! Why go to Home Depot & Amazon when Millen has almost everything, Millen has seasoned experts that can help find items quickly and problem solve for you! Does Home Depot often send you $5 buck off coupons like Millen? Not to me! I dont see a large markup on pricing either; in fact, sometimes I find their items cheaper than Amazon and Home Depot too! Very friendly staff too.

Great selection, far more organized than local alternatives and ALWAYS has people ready to help - you will rarely, if ever, wait for somebody. It is more likely youll need to politely decline help than to ask for it. Best service of any hardware store in the region. Its a bit further away for me but always worth the trip for ordinary household needs.

Just your regular old mom-and-pop shop, offering all the basic tools one may need for their home. We could not find a manual edger at any big-name store (i.e. Home Depot & Lowes), but Millen had the exact one we wanted. We convenient and offers a large variety of items.

Great store for misc parts. Pops and I stopped by for a faucet repair, and Tom was quite helpful. We could not ask for anything more. Glad to help support the small-time hardware store. Granted, .79 o-ring doesnt do much to pay the light bill. But, should we need a large ticket item (lawn mower, power tool...etc.) it will be a place to go.

I particularly like that Millens is open on Sundays. They have a huge selection of items and staff that will help you find everything. They also have their own parking lot next to this in vintage old building.

This is a good neighborhood hardware store. The prices wont beat the big box stores (though that can be defrayed a bit by joining their loyalty program), but the service is top notch. I can always get in and out very quickly by talking to an employee. They not only point me to the right aisle, but are willing to answer any questions I have (and will honestly say, I dont know if they dont have an answer.) They stock seasonally, but have everything you need (but again, not necessarily as many choices as the big box stores.)

Somehow, they fit an amazing number of products in that small space.They carry products no one else carries.Their staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful.What more can you ask for in a neighborhood hardware store?!Glad their good staff and product lines did not change when they converted from Ace to Do It Best.

I love this hardware store. Theres a large knowledgeable, friendly staff, they almost always have what Im looking for and they have a simple coupon program. I redeemed a $5 coupon just today.

Great store. Prices are a bit higher than the big boxes, but, in this case, you get what you pay for. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and Ive never gotten anything but a friendly response when i want to return something. Do yourself a favor and support the local business.

Today you failed. Normally I can count you guys to help me and get me going on my way. Today I came in to get a key made. Two customers can in after me and those customers got help before me. This hasnt happened before. I hope this wont happen again.

Way off the Chain Store beat -- this is an iconic local shop that stocks everything and will help you nail down what you might need for any project. Great people, great selection, very traditional and old-fashioned

This place is a life saver ( or a least 1 hr commute). They offer just about anything a contractor needs at a somewhat higher price but it evens out.

When you need help with a do it yourself project gone wrong, the good people at Millens Ace Hardware will get you back on track.

Negatives: email addresses shown on website dont work, messages left on voice mail not returned, no reply to message left on Facebook page. No communication on the order, other than the initial confirmation...the order on the website had a different total than that shown on my order confirmation.I had to call twice to find out that my order had shipped to the non-toll free number.positives: a verbal request to change the color of a product was followed thru.Either this company doesnt like to deal with electronic orders and technology or they dont care enough to respond to electronic inquiries and would prefer to deal in person/over the phone?Dont know if I will be a return customer - they did come highly recommended by the blogger Miss Mustard Seed for their Fiddes Wax special pricing.Time will tell. But, John Millen Hardware, if youre going to use technology, lets get it up and running, ok? Lets be professional and have both email addresses that work and return phone call messages!
