Me & my 17yr old son had car trouble 3hrs fr our destination of my daughters near Pittsburgh Pennslyvania. My son called all around. These young men were the only ones to tell us theyd look & most probably fix the issue. So we had it towed here.The employees altho all young men were the best.They were super at answering questions like where to stay while repaired were made, where to eat etc. My daughter & son n law made the 6hr strip tho lol to get us. It took a gd bit longer than date we were given to be ready but all was forgiven! My son even qualified & was able to pay off part of the cost in payments! Great job guys. Great representing your town & state! I recommend them.

From my first call to Jim I was impressed with his customer service! I called to see if they could do an alignment on my 2500 HD Silverado, and he said to bring it right in. His reception was very professional and the technician Mike put the pickup on the lift. After an initial assessment it was determined that the alignment was fine and that there wasnt a need to do one, so I was very impressed with their honesty and integrity to not go through the motions and charge me anyway. I will certainly bring all my service to them in the future. Well done Mike and Jim!

At $454 for a $110 O2 sensor replacement, I’ll take my next chances at the dealer! They charged me double for the part. That I found, and were not willing to install, with zero warranty or guarantee. If this wasn’t my daughter’s car, that I needed to get through her drivers test, this Veteran father would have bought the jack stands himself. And the guy at the front desk doesn’t need to tell me how hard things are. He hasn’t been, where I’ve been!

I appreciate the dedication of the staff at Monro in getting new brake pads and rotors. I cant say enough good things about Monro. I have taken my Ford Fusion to Monro in Wilmington for the last three years and I am always satisfied.

My husband took our daughters truck in while we were in town for a horse show. They did the front brakes and replaced a belt. He says they were fair patient with questions and not pushy. He spent a few hours waiting for the work to be done, observing how they interacted with other customers, and felt they did a good job.

Weve had our oil done twice with no problem. They were friendly on the phone and in person. However, when your associate tells us that our tires are pretty much going to blow at any minute and theyll give us new ones for almost $800 and insisted it was the best price I get a little suspicious. Took my car to TWO other places and they said our tires were fine but it wouldnt hurt to get new before winter and for almost HALF the price!! We probably wont be back because of this!

I found myself with a flat tire about 250 miles from home last weekend. The first 2 places we tried and were turned away either because they couldnt fix my tire or were booked for the day. My tires were under warranty with Tire Barn and I finally thought to google them (small town, didnt think they had one). Monroe popped up as an affiliate, I called and they immediately got me in. Although they couldnt repair my tire (too close to the tire wall) they worked with my local Tire Barn to try and find a replacement tire. The brand of tire I had was discontinued but instead of leave me stranded they put on a tire for me so that I could get home without driving all that way on my spare and communicated with my local shop so that when I got back they knew what to except. Thanks so much to this shop and team for helping me out and going above and beyond!!!

Went in for oil change and had a great experience. The man at the front desk was a great communicator, the mechanic got my car done in less than the estimated time, and overall I would highly recommend this shop.

UPDATE: they responded to my review and asked me to call them at the customer service phone number. I called, left a message on their machine with the necessary information (name, my phone number etc.) and they never called me back. What was I expecting … a refund! Ha!!! Forget about it. They are playing. I’ve been told that businesses SHOULD RESPOND to any and all negative reviews because it makes them look like they give a care. They don’t!Had my brakes fixed April 4, 2019. The day I picked up my truck I started hearing a new noise coming from the front wheels. I found out today that the two hubs from the front two wheels were rattling around inside the hub covers. I cleaned axle grease from the parts, the insides of the hub covers and correctly tapped the hubs back in place over the bearings.There’s NO EXCUSE for such carelessness on their part.

Thursday, June 27th, my family and I were on our way back from Florida to Columbus, Ohio. At 1 am, the car broke down on I 71, outside of Wilmington, Ohio. By 7:15 am, I was able to get in touch with Daniel at Monro(I was told to try Monro by the desk clerk at the local hotel)... He told me upfront that the car may not be done untii Friday, but that he would try - he was fully booked, and had only 2 mechanics in that day. We were able to get the car to Monro(via a tow), and Daniel had Mike take us back to the hotel.Daniel kept us posted as to the status of the cars progress... and by 6 pm, he and Mike were able to finish our car, come and pick us up at the hotel, and have us back on the road.I, and my family, our so grateful for the diligent work that Mike and Daniel performed on our car, and the wonderfully courteous service they gave.For such a horrible event to occur ( the car breaking down), I dont think we could have been luckier to find these 2 wonderful guys to help us out!Monro should be ecstatic to have guys like this working for them!

Called yesterday got a price on brakes for our truck wasnt bad. Had to make an appointment for today. Ok so go in at 9am to get them done and get a call while at breakfast saying they could not do it cause they had an emergency. Go back to get the truck an the truck that pulled in after us was in there. The man in the shop said he was sorry for Daniels problem. Doubt we will go back there. Update: got phone call today from Daniel & He offered to make it right with us. Very happy & satisfied with the work he did for us today. Thanks for making it right.

The worst service I have recieved. Very unprofessional. I had to bring my car back four times about a flex pipe that was put on. The pipe lasted 5 months which I paid 280 for. I brought my car back for the 5 th time last Saturday for my appointment and the technicians never even pulled my car in to look at or give me a courtesy call to tell me that they were not able to get to my vehicle. It took me to call them at there usual closing time and then they wanted to tell me they couldn’t get to it and that they needed to keep my car until Monday. Also told me if I wanted a refund I needed to call corporate office because they do not give refunds at the store. Don’t take your car there. Very bad idea

Going there for years and they have always taken good care of our vehicles at a reasonable price. Trustworthy garages are a great asset to have and I count Monroe as one.

We brought a vehicle in to have the brake pads replaced. They called saying that they found other issues but because our car warranty covers those particular issues we asked that they only repair the pads and we would take it in to the dealer on Monday. Shockingly one of the issues they discovered happened to break during their test drive after we spoke causing the vehicle to be inoperable unless repaired immediately. I would love to say this is the first time something like this occurred at this location but we have had issues with things being done to our vehicle without our knowledge and then charged for them at vehicle pick up. My husband suggested we try them out again for oil and brakes since they now have many if not all new employees. We wont be back.

Our car overheated on the interstate on the way home from vacation. It was early Sunday morning and we were 1000 miles from home. We had to wait until Monday morning to start calling repair shops and we started with the dealers who could not even look at it for a week. We called Daniel at Monro and even though they were swamped they got me in worked around their scheduled customers and got us done and on the road by the next morning. They took extra care to make sure the problem was fixed before they gave it to us and we made it home safe, thanks.

I went here for a brake change. Over the phone my boyfriend was told to have all four brakes changed it would be $125. Thats the only reason we went. When we get there, they tell us that its $125 per AXEL and he claims to have said it over the phone. He did not. Then the other guy decided that was a great time to try and sell me tires for $600. No. Then he tries to tell me I need my rotors fixed because theyre about .03 off. I dont care, but if I had gone through with that it would have costs over $200. I think theyre only after your money and theyre a really crappy business.

Had daughter s car towed there. They checked it out and told us what was wrong with it. Great customer service

My normal mechanic was on vacation and my car broke down and had to be towed. Monroe was the closest, so I had it towed there. They said the alternator was bad on my 2007 Ford Taurus and it was going to be $537 to fix! They knew the car had been towed and could get away with charging me $399 for a part that was readily available for less than $80 and they would not me let me provide the part. These chain stores with their sales goals and bonus structures are prime breading grounds for opportunistic tactics. You are better off to find a good mechanic who is building their business the old fashion way, building a repeat customer base by doing the right thing rather than wringing as much as they can out of anyone who seems like a good target. In fairness, after multiple protest calls about paying 5 times more than market price for the part they did give me a $100 discount which means I only 3.5 times as much for the part. Proceed at your own risk and make sure you have options before going here! Despite having very friendly employees, I’ll never go back!!!

I took my 2017 Camaro to Daniel and Mike after a local garage messed up putting on an aftermarket axle-back exhaust. Mike the tech was outstanding and fixed everything up in about 30 minutes. I owe hima ton. It looks perfect. He knew I wanted things perfect and brought me back 3 times to make sure I eas happy with what he had done. I dont care what Mike makes. Mike needs a raise ASAP. He made a picky customer stop over thinking and just trust! Thanks!Daniel, the Manager was professional and set me up perfectly. Backed my vehicle off a lifted ramp and damaged brake system. Almost had a wreck because brake pedal went clear to the floor. Found lots of brake fluid leaking out of abs Valve. Shop first admitted it happened, but now claim otherwise. I will never take my vehicle to a monroe shop eveagain

They told me I needed something on my belt fixed and replaced or my belt would come out. This wouldve cost me over $600. I took it to another mechanic and they told me nothing was wrong with it. That wouldve played me out of my money for no reason. I have been driving my car for 7 months now after them telling me that was wrong with my car and nothing has happened. They will play you for some money. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone, at least not this location.

I wish I would have wrote this sooner, however; the situation this place has put me into still affects me to this very day. I wouldnt trust these guys with a simple task like an oil change. Before the incident I loved this place they were always friendly and fast and always willing to work me in even when they didnt have the bandwidth. However; once something goes wrong theyll turn on you just as quickly. I had purchased a used Toyota Corolla in excellent condition to say the least. I had it for less than 6 months before I took it to this exact location for a simple oil change. Only a small amount of time later my engine was locked out and salvageable. It turns out the oil plug was NOT properly tightened and all my oil drained out of my car and without warning my engine blocks were locked and my gasket was blown. I know nothing about vehicle maintenance which is why I paid for a service to be done. I filled a claim with their insurance after they refused to take any blame for the issue. Their insurance denied my claim, after doing so I did everything in my power to solve the issue by submitting a case to the Better Business Bureau and tried to find an attorney to take the case, due to my financial situation was not able to hire an attorney. There is a reason while Monro Muffler Brake & Service is NOT a member of the BBB, its because their incredibly irresponsible and are not about customer sanctification. I recommend that anyone needing any sort of repair or maintenance take their vehicle to a credited service provider that is AEE Certified. You can disagree with my course of action but until you have been wronged by this company you may not understand. This is a warning to all people to not trust your vehicles in the hands of this company. Im not rich and Im willing to wager neither are most people. Im stuck with my auto-loan still for a vehicle that I can no longer even use. And its severely damaged my credit. Please do not trust them, I hope that no one has to go through what I did here which is why I write now. You Have Been Warned.

Yes it is a corporate controlled store which means they push for their numbers the reason their prices are so high, Im saying when a district manager gets on an employee about what Im writing as a review and threatens his job per se, I would never go to a Monroe Ever After what I heard by giving them a one-star, so to the district manager Dewey who was basically getting all over an employee about what somebody reviews said thats wrong
