Always love coming to Barnes and Noble. Its always clean and so quiet. The staff was very helpful and found exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend this location.

I love Barnes and Noble. Its a Haven for me. Ive been to lots of Barnes and Nobles and this one was just a bit of a shame because there werent any comfortable places to sit. But otherwise its heaven. Got a brandy new book for practically nothing too!! 💕

I have always loved B & N at Maifare in Wilmington, N.C. until yesterday. I dont know if it is policy or an employee I should be addressing, but here is the account.of what happened. My two grandsons and I were finishing $10.00 worth of refreshents in the cafe when an announcement was made that they would be closing in 30 minutes. We proceeded to clean up and headed for the restroom when we were stopped by an employee, May I help you with something? she blurted out. No thank you, we were headed for the restroom, I said. It was at that time 20 minutes before closing. OK, Oh, she says, I think the restrooms are closed......yes, they are closed. she said. I have been a member of Barnes & Nobles.and spent lots of money in their stores only to be told I cant take my grandchildren to the bathroom after having just spent $10.00 there in the cafe, when there is 20 minutes left before closing. I want to know, is this a B & N policy that restrooms are closed to customers at least 20 minutes before closing or was this a eager employee wanting to go home? Either way, it is very insulting, and has changed my love for going to B & N in Wilmington..

Had a great time going and looking for books here today. The staff was very helpful and the selection of books was great. The store was laid out very well with a good selection of various genres. We ended up looking for almost an hour and we were already finding new things. We ended up purchasing there new titles. Checkout was easy, as they accept wireless payments. Very good experience.

Its a nice Barnes and Noble, clean, well organized, friendly and knowledgeable staff, just wish the prices werent so high, but I guess thats to be expected.

The staff here are quite friendly and are more than happy to assist in helping you find what you need. The location is great and with the new redesign of the store its much easier to navigate. Book selection is vast!

Rude staff, very rude manager. Poorly implemented covid restrictions. They speak to you like you’re a child and tell you that you are over the 30 min limit, even when the cafe is empty. The manager told me that he has been watching me and he knows that I was there more than 30 min and he is going to allow me to stay to be nice, like I am some kind of homeless person who is just there to get warm and use their heat. FYI, 30$ on books 2 days ago and thousands of dollars over the years as I am a software engineer, and have whole library of computer related books that I have bought from this store.Their notice specifies that the 30 min based on customer limited customer occupancy. The cafe was empty.After trying explain my situation and past history as a customer since 1998 with the manager, I decided that he was completely unreasonable and that my time was better spent contacting BN corporate. I will be escalating this event and making sure they know how the employees are addressing customers at this location.Upon walking out, he told me not to come back!

The one staff member I came in contact with was rude. He was complaining that my mask wasn’t on correctly and I told him I would leave if it was an issue- he then replied with a very rude remark and followed me out of the store. Definitely not giving them my business.

Nice spacious store with pretty good selection. Prices are fair. Staff is pretty friendly.

I love browsing with other book lovers here. And what a nice magazine section they have and reduced books too. Theres also a Starbucks for coffee lovers. Theyve rearranged the store layout so youll want to explore the entire store! LOL.

Would have been 5 stars, but they sell toys and records besides selling books. Some folks want it to be just a book store. I didnt buy any books.

Store was very nice and staff was very helpful.

We purchase a $5 drink but couldnt get a venti ice water due to cup shortage as we were told by the lady that was preparing drinks. As we were sitting in the cafe, an employee of B&N comes up and was given a venti size ice water. Why isnt everyone treated the same? Ridiculous.

I love the store. It is clean, well organized, and most the employees are very kind and helpful. Last night I witnessed one of the employees (Rachel B) being discriminatory towards a patron with a disability. I said something politely, but I feel like I should have done more and feel ashamed I didnt.

First time in a bookstore in awhile very nice place.

Nice BnN. Only have small 2 person tables which I think is VERY smart. More places for people instead of being an office or study hall for students taking up a table of 4 for themselves.

I went for story time with Santa and my little one loved it. The store is well organized.

Still a very nice place to find a great deal on a book, gifts, toys and nick nacks of the sort. Tables and chairs are not present for obvious reasons (covid) . Restrooms are clean, and have a diaper changing station.

I love Barnes and Nobles. But the prices are outrageous! You can get everything there cheaper online at Amazon.com or other places locally! They do have a lot of cool things little things like books puzzles Games. If you want to go for impulse buys and spend a lot of money I recommend going to Barnes and Nobles. If you want to save money order online.

I love this store. Staff is exceptional. Easy to navigate, clean and organized. Cafe has a great selection. Coupons for Star Bucks cafe with nearly every receipt.

I called in to see if they had the December Issue of the Vogue Magazine. I realize that they had a lot of people calling in about that, but the man on the phone was rude about it. He said that Harry styles has been sold out since he came into the store in a rude tone. I love Barnes and Nobles but it just made me feel bad about calling and made me feel bad. Also, I went into the store several times in the same week, the day that they supposedly received the shipment of the magazines, the day after, and on Black friday. Each time they didn’t have them.

During the lockdown; they had renovation and moved everything on me; I was thinking of some recipes during lockdown as to flu shot; I had combined couple recipe books of smoothies and juices into one on notepad; they had more and wider selection at that point!! options when I was sitting in the cafe looking at books or online due to pandemic they had smaller selection to choose from and Amazon Kindle version on their website wont let people glance at some recipes in preview because of pages before the first smoothie; then they add the index but some dont;

Whoever put together the Studio Ghibli collectible display needs a raise. I mean, I know thats not how corporate works, but. This display was obviously done with care and it warmed my heart a little seeing this level of appreciation in a retail world full of cold consumerism.

If I could give a zero rating I would. Barnes and noble without my authorization took money from my account putting me in the negative with my bank and leaving me without funds!!!!! When I called to speak to a manager was left on hold for 30 minutes!! Terrible customer service!!

Was bullied by two different employees to verbally admit that I have medical conditions that not only prevents one from wearing a mask but puts one at a physical disadvantage of others. We have laws to prevent this kind of bullying called HIPAA, but all of a sudden no ones cares about individuals privacy. I nor my family will spend another dime here, cheaper on Amazon anyway.

Great place to waste some time if you need or just peruse the different books out there. Starbucks and books? You cant really go grab spending any amount of time here. So yeah if you legit dont know what a Barnes and Noble is...the. just go. You wont be let down.

Barnes and Nobles has been so helpful in the past, and especially during the 2020 pandemic. I was looking for a Barnes and Nobles edition collection containing four of Ernest Hemingways novels, which I need for a college course, but the book is out of print. This did not stop a friendly employee, Melissa, from helping me though! Melissa rigorously searched through the computer database and located a couple of stores that still have copies in stock. She called up one of the stores and had them ship it to the Mayfaire location for me (at no additional cost). This is wonderful because I will save a lot of money getting all four of these books in one. She was so helpful and empathetic to my plight as a broke college student trying to save money; thank you Melissa and Barnes and Nobles!

Love Barnes and nobles but manga prices are ridiculous. its 12-20 dollars for one manga. if you were there to buy all the volumes of a manga you would spend over 100 to 200 dollars.

This is one of my favorite places to go if I have to kill time. I could spend hours here. Walk though every section I love seeing whats new and browsing to see if anything I subconsciously want. They even have Starbucks. So come here and expand your brain cells let your inner self breathe and find something that could change your life forever.

Best place to be when you are looking for an inspiration. Each magazine cover shoots out messages if they are tuned into you. Opening the cover then you see more about it if you are interested in. Then move on to other. What a great way to spend time. You may even find your book that you like. Finish it and go back to choose another one that appeals to you. By the time, youll find your self writing about your experience. Have fun.

Always great! But why do they offer cheesecake discounts to book club members? We want book discounts, not cheesecake! If we wanted cheesecake, we would go to a cheeseburger factory.

Went to Barnes & Noble today thinking they were an essential business however they are not, I arrived they were closed only open for curbside so I called the store and Paul answered the phone, to find out that the store was not no longer considered essential I told Paul that I was looking for a puzzle to help me through this time and he selected three asking me about how many pieces and what type of puzzle I was looking for, took care of everything curved side and I just wanted to say thank you and what great customer service Barnes & Noble offers, Paul thank you for caring and picking out a beautiful puzzle
