I have been to a number of comic book shops, and this is th best. Has some excellent nostalgic toys as well. My son loves our Comic Book Shop monthly visits.

The staff was very friendly. The store had a great selection of toys from old to new. They also had new and old comics in a wide range of conditions. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely visit in the near future .

I dont often write reviews, but I feel its important to highlight enthusiasm. First off, this store as a wonderful variety of comics, including a smattering of LGBTQ+ oriented content. Even better, not all of it is focused on romance! The people I worked with were very enthusiastic and passionate, and led me to books I have enjoyed immensely thus far. The interior is bright, colorful, and welcoming. All in all, a lovely store with good people running it. I hope to return soon!

I had many marvel bronze age comics. Ghost rider defenders, dracula,moon knight to name a few. All number one issues. Didnt realize what value they had at the time, it was 2018. They took advantage of my lack of knowledge. They got my comics for peanuts and they know it. Never again

This store is wonderful! My daughter loves going here. All of the employees are wonderful but the female employees especially dote on my daughter. They always make her feel special for loving superheroes and comic book characters when she is sometimes teased or called a boy for that. Always happy to support a small business but especially one that has had such a positive impact on my daughter!

This place is such a hidden gem. The owners know their stuff, they are so kind and personable and treat everybody that walks through the door like family. And they have hooked my kids onto reading at a young age. They are so patient with kids and take the time to get to know them and find reading material suitable for their ages and interests. And they do so much for our community - one of the few local business that are excited to donate to a school PTA and dont ask for any recognition in return. They have great events too!! Support local - this is a place that ALL adults and kids should check out.

This store is wonderful! Ive been taking my son there for several years now. Started out going on for a kids comic book club, and he loved it. Now that hes a bit older, we go in pretty regularly to get comic books and chat with the staff. The owner is so kind and takes time to talk to him about the latest and greatest events. I highly recommend this business!

Very nostalgic and found just what I needed

Great selection of vintage toys that are exceptionally competitive with online prices while retaining the family atmosphere. I have brought my grade school age children for events and the community was exceptionally nice. Highly recommended.

The Comic Book Shop is an inclusive store that works hard to meet the individual needs of all of their patrons. We have worked with Sara on many occasions to find the perfect type of comic for each person in our family. She is also AMAZING with our children. One of our sons is Autistic and she always takes the time to listen to what he is looking for AND helps him with social interactions by asking him his opinion, having him look at her when they are talking to each other mostly, she has created a safe space that he loves going and feels like he can be who he is.

This shop is such a gem. Every time I go I’m so impressed with how patient the staff is with my kids and how, no matter what their interest is at the moment, they pull the perfect book off the shelf. Their Friday night Magic events are also fantastic. Everyone is always so kind and inclusive.Their new mascot Heyzel is just another new bonus (but have no fear! If dogs aren’t your thing, they are happy to remove her from the floor while you peruse!)

Knowledgeable staff and a great collection of all things NERD. Everytime I go, I end up buying more than planned due to staff recommendations. This is the best comic book shop in Northern Delaware!

Changed a lot since we used to come here years ago.

My kids love coming here! they always find a fun new story and often branch out into different genre comics. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. the youth comics are organized by reading level /age group which is a plus since i have a 4 and 7 year old. Its a great little store and we often venture into Delaware just to come here

You will never meet nicer owners! We went in the shop while at an event for the shop next door. My boys were in awe and the guy working could not have made them feel more special. We need more local business owners like this!

I still remember waiting in line at another comic book shop to buy my bagged copy of Superman #75, featuring the conclusion of the heros city shattering throwdown with the monster Doomsday. The anticipation I felt then is a spirit that is still alive and thriving at the Comic Book Shop! The owners are super friendly, and theyve got stuff for all ages, all interests, from the newbie that I once was to the serious collector that, well, I once was! And more importantly is how much they give back to the community theyre a part of. If you long to recapture the magic of your own childhoods, walk through these doors, and you will be transported to the halcyon days of your youth.

That fact that they are LGBTQ friends makes shopping there so comfortable and the initial reason. I went. Plus the selection?!?! Its amazing!!. Its an hour drive for me to go but honestly its so worth it.

Great variety, tons of past and present issues of Comics, Nostalgic factor is amazing, discount books are plentiful. Most comics are standard retail and trade paperbacks are overpriced for complete series. Nice location. Whether your a casual reader or serious collector, all are welcome.

What seems like an eternity ago at their previous location, myself and my brother were often at this comic book shop. It has EVERYTHING! You can deal and trade with them, staff is very friendly. But what I truly love, is the setup they have for toddlers there while their parents browse books. Its so cute, and my 20 month old daughter will sit at this little toddler table and play with leggos provided so sweet and nice. I think that consideration is so nice. And they know my boyfriend by now and will specially order him comics. We def love this store. It is very personable. Has action figures and nostalgia galore! Collectors may find something they were looking for here.

This is a shame. They have great books and good prices, but the female owner completely insulted me at a local show. FYI, keep your feminist agenda to yourself, as I’ll keep my opinions to myself. She was very rude and condescending, and also doesn’t have a clue about comic books. Clearly someone else is the brains behind this store, because quality wise it’s fine. But I’ll never spend another dime. I write reviews for an acclaimed comic book site, and this one will not be highlighted due to the rudeness of this particular staff.

Stopped by for the first time on comic book day. Store is pretty big and well organized, with a nice section up front with nothing but kid-friendly comics. Even with the crowds that day, the staff was very friendly and helpful as I tried to find some new books for my daughter (and myself!) Will definitely be back.

Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. Lots of great sales and discounts on first issues and volumes in an effort to introduce people to new series. Subscription box is free as long as you come in monthly to pick up your issues, and there are a few monthly book clubs. Definitely my new local comic book store!

This is a great shop with great people who own and run it. It goes without saying that they are friendly. They know the comic market backward and forward, and it has good stock. They are also very community friendly and involved. A perfect place for me at over 40 and my son at 8. Go there. But stuff from them. Leave happy and appreciated.

I’m a working comic artist and have been to many shops across the US and UK. The Comic Book Store stood out as a class act from the moment I walked in. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve rarely been to a shop that has done more to engage their community and create an all inclusive space that extends well beyond the Wednesday pull list.

Sarah and Patrick Titus and their staff do a Wonderful job of creating a safe, playful environment. They always have great recommendations and have amazing events with terrific guests. They do a lot of community support by raising money for charities as well.

The Comic Book Shop is truly a wonderful place to go. Sarah, Titus, and the rest of the crew are really excel at customer service. You would never be made to feel weird for being in a comic store (as is very possible in a lot of them), and they are always happy to help. They carry a great selection of comics, including much more than the popular superhero books. They support their community and you would do well to check the place out if you love comics OR if you are looking to check out a comic.

I was so happy I found this place when I moved to the area. The staff is knowledgeable and always friendly. There’s a whole section for kids of all ages, and even a small table with coloring books and legos for my kid to play with while we’re there. Not to mention Heyzel is the sweetest pup around

The Comic Book Shop is one of the nicest, cleanest, and most family friendly comic shops I have ever visited. The staff is enthusiastic, welcoming, and helpful - unlike any of the stereotypical male-oriented comic shops you may have seen on TV or heard people talk about.On a personal level, Sarah, Titus and the gang are absolutely wonderful individuals who always have a smile on their face and a story to tell. Super supportive of the local indie comic book community and always willing to lend a hand or a voice to support emerging artists and writers.

Kind, inclusive store that makes it a point to highlight representation and inclusivity. The staff is absolutely wonderful to my kids when we come in and really know their stuff. On 1/20/2019, I wrote - They were out to lunch 3 of the 4 times I went there. on 1/21/2019, I wrote - This review is not erroneous nor am I confusing it with another comic book shop. I made 3 special trips to visit this store. Only to find the doors were locked with a sign on the door that said back in 15 minutes. I waited a bit then left. I get that negative reviews hurt and went back a 4th time to talk with the owner but he wasnt there. So, I used this platform. Reviews are important, just as important as your customers time.

Super helpful staff, wonderful selection, not your typical comic shop!

Its right there in the name. They put comic books first. Yes, they also have action figures, card games, etc., but thanks to their knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, their shop is welcoming to new and experienced readers, alike.

I got into comics about a year ago and this was the first shop that I went to. The first time I went in, one of the employees helped me figure out what comics I would like and gave great suggestions and was very friendly . I later found out that they were the owner. This is a great shop with a great staff, and I would highly recommend it to new or veteran comic readers.

Great staff in a great store.This stores selection is a really good sampling of everything. You wont find many deep cuts or rare back issues here but theres still a lot that sets this store above the rest. Namely: the staff and the events. The staff are friendly and helpful to newcomers and veterans alike. If theres something you want that they dont have theyll gladly order it in. And since the store is in tax free Delaware that actually makes it the cheapest way to get what youre looking for. On top of that the store has frequent events and storewide sales. I cant recommend this store enough.

Found this place for free comic book day, as we are new to the area. They were all nice folks, nice comics, including lots of old less expensive ones (50 cents or $1) so my kids and I were pleased as punch. Will be back for sure.
