I couldnt have asked for a better experience at Beautiful Brides of Wilmington. We were in Wilmington on a girls trip and booked an appointment here because of all of the rave reviews! My bridal consultant Sandra suggested I send her photos of gowns before my appointment to get an idea of my style. At the appointment she took the pieces and parts I loved from each gown I tried on and pulled the gown that left me, my sister, and cousin all speechless. I knew it was the one in that moment, but thought about it for a couple days before going back and buying it because it was all I could think about!! Sandra was an amazing listener, and she has the gift of knowing what I was thinking even when I didnt say a word. She made the entire appointment fun, laid back and we werent rushed one bit. Sandra is making me a cathedral length veil and shipping it to me in Ohio. I cannot wait to wear my gown next May, it is absolutely gorgeous. Im thankful someone as caring as Sandra helped me choose my wedding gown!

I personally loved the undivided attention I received in the shop. They made the appointment very personal to me and did not tell me no at all. I also loved how transparent they were about budgets and sticking within what I asked. So many amazing and affordable dresses are in the shop - definitely make an appointment to feel like a beautiful bride!

I didn’t know they were appointment only (my fault for not checking) but they were so patient and told me if I came back later they had a 1hour opening….I didn’t even need the full hour! Shannon asked me a few questions, walked away pulled some dresses, and told me to start trying. I loved the first one!!! The best bridal shop ever! I must have tried on 10 different dresses and finally chose one. Sandra and Shannon were so supportive and patient and made me feel confident, comfortable, and special. After purchasing my dress, I still wasn’t 100% sure it was “the one” so Shannon assured me it was fine to come back in and try on a couple more dresses I saw on their Facebook page. After deciding that the original dress was still what I wanted, but wasn’t exactly perfect, Shannon helped me customize it so it was absolutely perfect. They truly worked their magic and made me the dress of my dreams!! The whole process was incredible and I cannot recommend them more. Such a fantastic experience that made my wedding so special. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

I went in to get a veil for my wedding dress and I absolutely couldn’t be happier with my veil and appointment! I loved having their 1 on 1 attention to really identify what I wanted. Best place to find your dream dress!!I started looking for my wedding dress at some of the other bridal shops here in Wilmington and was really displeased. I felt defeated, like I wouldnt find my dress anywhere in Wilmington and that I would have to drive to Raleigh to look at gowns.But let me just say I am SO GLAD that I went here instead. Sandra Leigh and her daughter, Shannon, are the most kind, helpful people I have ever met. They were able to help me find my dream dress, it was the second one they pulled for me! Also it is one of their original designs!! No other bridal shop offers the dress that I bought. They keep a very clean store... not like some of the other bridal shops in town. They take the time to sanitize their dresses to ensure the brides safety. They truly care about the bride and make sure they find their dream dress. They offer payment plans too which is so nice, especially when trying to figure out other wedding costs and deposits. I recommend that every bride go here and experience the caring environment they so effortlessly succeed in!

I enjoyed my trip to Beautiful Brides of Wilmington. I was taking a day trip to the beach and decided I would dress shop while I was there so I called and made an appointment. They emailed me dresses to look at and to pick out ones that’s stood out so they could have them ready for me. They were very personable and affordable. Everyone here was incredibly helpful, especially during Covid-19. I was in a hurry to find a dress I liked, and Sandra helped by suggesting a dress that could be completely changed into what I wanted. She basically made me a custom dress and got all of the alterations done in one weekend so that I could have the dress ready before everything shut down. Working with a small business like this was a great decision.

This is the best bridal shop in Eastern NC!! They have a gorgeous selection of gowns, and all of them are affordable and designed to fit every body type. Plus, Sandra and Shannon are the absolute sweetest— they made the entire process feel fun and low-pressure! I love that they own the shop as a mother and daughter team— #fempower. Shopping with them makes you feel like you’re investing in the local community and female entrepreneurs.I also wanted some significant alterations to the hem of my dress, which required tedious work, but Sandra took it on without blinking an eye. My experience at Beautiful Brides was absolutely fantastic! I went to another, more commercial store first known for affordable gowns, and had a perfectly nice experience but tried on a dozen or so dresses and didnt find anything I liked. I was really concerned about the crazy costs of wedding dresses but my mom had learned about Beautiful Brides and heard that they focused on affordable gowns and made an appointment for me. The store is modest, but perfect. If youre looking for a stress-free experience with GREAT customer service and beautiful quality dresses at reasonable prices (most under $1,500; only one had crept up to $2k when I had asked), you really need to check this place out. My appointment was with Sandra and she was just wonderful. I thought we were just chatting and casually looking at some of the dresses as she asked me questions about what I liked, but then she turned to Shannon (who also helped and was equally wonderful) and had her start pulling dresses. She remembered every small comment I made and knew exactly which gowns to pull. Honestly, the very first dress I tried on, I didnt want to take off. Wanting to be sure about my selection, I continued to try on another 6 or 7 dresses and really there were so many beautiful ones - not all for me, but beautiful and beautifully made (really nice quality at great prices). There was one other true contender and I tried each one on again and Sandra was great at talking me through the pros and cons of each - encouraging me to sit down in them and see how I felt, etc. I ultimately went with the first dress I had put on (which was also less expensive as the other she was helping me decide on) and couldnt be happier. Sandra and Shannon were so nice and engaging. I cant say enough wonderful things about them and their store. They know their inventory and whats on trend and whats simply classic. I cant recommend them enough!

The experience of helping my daughter select and purchase her wedding gown and then having alterations completed was pleasant and problem free due to the owner of this wonderful store. Sandra had a lovely selection of very reasonably priced gowns and was very knowledgeable about all of them. She is a professional and even though my daughter lived a 3 hour drive away made every aspect a breeze. She advised my daughter on making her own veil, and had great advice in general for the wedding day. My daughter shopped in Chapel Hill, Raleigh Durham, and finally Wilmington, and Beautiful Brides of Wilmington had the best options and service. Sandra loves the role she plays in helping to make a beautiful and happy bride.

After hearing a few details of what I had liked in a wedding dress so far, Sandra picked out a couple dresses that were all gorgeous and exactly my style. One of them ended up being the one, but I was amazed at how hard it was to choose because I loved them all! Sandra was amazing and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. After attending a couple of dress shopping sessions with a few friends at larger corporate as well as local boutiques I was ready to give up. The boutiques that I had previously been to had given me overwhelming anxiety and pressure to purchase gown. I stumbled upon Sandra and Beautiful Brides of Wilmington. Immediately I was calmed and treated like a bride. From start to finish Sandra and her daughter were right there every step of the way. Sandra chatted with me about bridal and non bridal subjects, and completely made me feel at ease! The whole process was perfect and I could have never imagined that my dress could be as beautiful as it was. I dropped a bit of weight after ordering my dress and Sandra fitted it perfectly doing all of the alterations in shop. Not only did she alter the size but she altered the dress so I could make it shorter for my beach ceremony without walking on it all night. Sandra also dyed my shoes to match my wedding colors perfectly and made me a hair piece to die for! I would recommend Beautiful Brides to ANYONE!!!!

We stumbled into a gem of a store today and were blessed to be helped by owner, Sandra Leigh. My daughter has been looking for a prom dress for weeks and I found Sandras store as I was scouring the internet for stores in Raleigh since none of the stores in Wilmington we had visited had any suitable dress choices. Sandra was a wonderful help - she had great suggestions and even at this late date - had reasonably priced, in-store selections that gave us multiple options. Outstanding customer service with personal one on one attention with no sales pressure. I had been to several local bridal stores. Many had beautiful dresses, none of which were in my budget. From the first visit to Beautiful Brides the owner Sandra and her daughter were so helpful and always made me feel so welcome. Believe me I made many trips back to the shop while trying to decide. I was able to purchase a beautiful unique wedding dress at a very affordable price that worked with my limited budget. Sandra did a beautiful job adding a little extra bling my fiance and I requested and some alterations. On my wedding day even though I am an older bride the dress fit me to perfection and I felt like a princess. : )

I got my bridesmaid dress from another bridal place in town. When it finally got to the store, it was the same size but did not fit me. It was too small. Sandra rushed and fixed the dress. She did an amazing job! It fits perfectly now thanks to her! I couldnt be happier with the results.

Best shop in Wilmington! There is a great selection of dresses and the shop owner Sandra is very knowledgable. I shopped at every shop in Wilmington and many outside of Wilmington and this was my favorite, not only for the dress section, the price but the customer service that I received. All the advice I was given was real life not just to make the sale. The dress I ended up buy was no where near what I came in looking for nor was it something I would have picked out in the book however Sandra recommended I try it so I did and it was amazing and absolutely perfect. She does all alterations in the shop and even offers to make changes to specifics of the dress if you want something different (more beading, less beading, sleeves, etc). Since my wedding Ive had her do several alterations for me for other dresses and have been completely satisfied every time. I recommend her to every bride I meet.
