Disgusted. If we could give ZERO stars we would This was thee worst car buying experience EVER! We purchased a 2011 Buick Enclave Feb 2nd 2020. We were so excited to have a bigger vehicle compared to our Chevy Spark that we were trading in. They valued the trade at $3k. We were happy. We had to leave town to go back to MN for a family emergency. We did NOT even get out of NC and the check engine light came on. The vehicle from that point on operated on 1/2 power. The gas tank then showed that it was empty when we had just filled the tank. We thought it was just an error so we continued on our drive. The vehicle then started making noise while driving. We finally got to MN and brought it to our mechanic that we trusted. The mechanic advised us that there were many problems and that he would suggest we get our trade back and give back the Enclave. While were were there we at least paid $300 to fix the exhaust. We come back from MN, not even a week later and tell Danny at the dealership that we want our Spark back and that we do not want the Buick. He states they already sold our spark only to find out they lied and that the owners daughter got it. They then said they would fix everything wrong and that they would make it right. The throttle body was just pure liquid, the transmission was junk and needed to be replaced, the gas tank needed a new tank/float. The owner promised that it was all fixed. we got the vehicle back 3 weeks later. All the while, still paying on the loan. We paid $7995 less the trade of $3k for a total of $4995. With taxes and such it totaled $5,500. When we got the vehicle back, the issues with the vehicle still persisted so we said no take it back we do not want it. They lied and did not fix a thing. So, they then offered to find us a new vehicle. All of March, April and May we paid on a vehicle that did not even have possession of and we waited and waited for a new vehicle. Now, comes today. We finally said screw it and give us this vehicle. Ford Focus Hatchback. They had the vehicle listed at $6995. They then said oh, we will use the enclave as a trade and just pay off the loan. Ok, fine. But the vehicle is $1000 LESS than the Enclave. They said no we are not honoring that price and were not going to give me credit for the 4 payments I had already made on the other vehicle. I literally bawled signing the paperwork for the Ford. I was lied to, cheated, and taken advantage of. I am out $1800. I will be going to the better business bureau and to the attorney general of NC because this whole experience was horrendous! This is not ok, they simply doctor cars up just to sell them and make a quick buck. DO NOT GO HERE! If you remember seeing Matilda, this is exactly like the car dealership that is on that movie!

I purchased a vehicle from them last month and had the best car buying experience! I had been looking for the exact vehicle and drove from out of town to see it. When I arrived Dennis came out handed me the keys, paperwork and asked for my license. He explained he was going to prep the paperwork for me to be able to test drive and that if I had any questioned hed be back shortly. I began to tear the jeep out from the inside inspecting it, and my boyfriend took a look under the hood. As promised Dennis returned with the paperwork so that I could test drive it. There was some small talk and then we took off. We came back in with cash and walked out within an hour. He was a pleasant guy and didnt need to hover for the sale. I appreciate that. I highly recommend you take a look at the inventory!

Had a great experience at Savage. Real people here, not a bunch of uptight sales people. Also, they got me into a vehicle when most others werent able to. Believe me Ive shopped around!They have some newer and nicer vehicles, and also some older ones with higher mileage so anybody should be able to find something to suit their needs.With all that being said, these are USED vehicles so dont expect miracles! Worst dealership in Wilmington. I would avoid these clowns entirely, they lied, wasted my time, and we’re extremely unprofessional. It was a blessing in disguise that I didn’t end up buying the car I looked at, and I’m sure the rest of their lot is filled with lemons too. Do yourself a favor and bring your business elsewhere because these people definitely don’t deserve it.PS. Most of their reviews are fake, don’t buy it.

Bought a truck from Jessica had no problems went to get another vehicle and got a 2001 Toyota sequoia and it has been a nightmare but we bought it from Dennis. The check engine light was on and Dennis knew it if you buy from them go to Jessica

I had to edit my previously positive review. 3 weeks after buying my car I found out the transmission was bad. I checked the transmission fluid while test driving the car and it was fine, but the transmission was so bad that the mechanic I took it to said they must have put good transmission fluid in there for the test drive. I know it’s a used car and you get what you get but I think that’s super unethical to sell a car you know the transmission is bad and to go the extra mile to make it appear ok.

I just want to follow up on how awesome Jessica Savage is as well as the rest of the Savage Automotive Team. She went above and beyond not only by getting me the car I couldnt leave the lot without but also shopped the best financing terms on my less than great score. I was actually referred to Jessica by a friend of my so i wanted to let others know that shes the best. Ive boughten 5 or 6 vehicles since Ive lived in Wilmington over the past 10 years and im an enthusiate. I can say for this first time that this will be the only place I can say that I will go back for my next car, probably when my fiance gets jeslous enough of what I got from Savage that she cant wait any longer to upgrade. 5 star, 10/10, standing ovation.
