The mall was not really crowded and jc penny was set up quit nicely. We were able to find what we needed, check out, apply for credit and get 25%off your purchase as well as get help finding things. So stop in the mall is recoupperating thru covid and the associates are there helping.

Ok, had a question but couldnt find a sales associate. Hadnt been there in a long time. Maybe they havent fully recovered from COVID-19,

We travel up to Wilmington monthly and usually make a stop in to JCP at Independence Mall. This is one of the nicest and most friendly locations weve visited. The JCP brand offers great value and great selection, but this location seems to have more of what my family wants than others. Well continue to go back on nearly each trip.

I mean I do not fall into the demographic of jcpenny but it is useful in this particular mall to remember to cut thru JCPenney Everytime you dont need to walk thru the food court bc its just a smoother experience most of the time imo 😎

This JcPenny was clean and organized. It had a variety of items and plenty of it. They had clearance items in almost every department.

I ordered some sheets for my bed online. When I got ready to put them on my bed there was dirt stains on them, and a dead fly on them. I will never order any more sheets from them. I took them back they need to check their stuff before they mail them to the customer. I was so disappointed I liked the sheets!

I had gone to the jewelry counter on three different occasions and each time I dealt with Trina. I don’t know if she’s the head of her department or whatever but she cannot handle that by herself. Today she was practically yelling at a woman to take her mask off so that she could hear her. Not to mention she couldn’t pay attention to one customer at a time, even when she called for help! All I have to say is Trina ruined my trip, just about every time. Never have dealt with such a loud and pushy woman in my life.

I think JCPenney is the hottest store I ever shop in. No matter what time of year you go in there the first thing thats going to hit you is how hot it is lol! JCPenney is an ok place to shop, but there are definitely better stores with much better prices. Theyre selling pillows just like you can get at Walmart for $5 for almost $30!!! Thats insane. I would definitely recommend price shopping before shopping there.

Great deals and a nice selection. Went there for school cloths and spent 300 bit I walked out with a ton of cloths for my kids. I go there every 5 months to upgrade their wardrobe and they never disappoint

So I went in there and looked amazing. They have many different options of clothing for everybody you can babies, children, and plus-size people. They also have prom dresses and they sell makeup from Sephora and they also sell shoes. I would really recommend going there for your clothing shopping or your makeup shopping because if youre one that loves great style thats place. they got close to him crop tops to wear long-sleeve they even got short sleeve T-shirts long pants jeans any type of jeans many different types of pants. winter coats, Jackets, Sweaters, hoodies. Please come here for your shopping next time you wont regret it.

A very nice attractive store. Went to buy my Fathers Day shorts, shirt and flip flops. Got the shorts and shirt, but flip flops were average at best (although at very reasonable prices), so I passed on the flip flops. I was looking for a more premium type. All in all, a pleasant shopping experience.

This JCPenney has a great selection of mens clothing and accessories. I am always satisfied when I shop for clothing here. Lots to choose from and for such a great price. They also have wonderful choices for home appliances. I bought a new piece of luggage today for less than have of the original price. So stoked about such a great deal!!!

People were very friendly had lots of things on sale including Panthers gear which my bf loved. Also has a Disney section for kids!!!!! Store is very nice and easy to find what you are looking for. Will definitely go back!

We were so pleased with this store. Friendly associates especially Nikki who helped us with the purchase of a new mattress and box spring. She took time to explain the difference between the mattresses on display. Such a pleasure to know and work with in our purchase.

Typical JC Penny. Neatly stocked and has a wide variety of brands to shop. They have really good deals going on. A must store to visit if you want to save some money on clothing. I have bought a lot of clothes at this store and was fully satisfied with the quality of the product.

She didnt take the theft tag off & it set alarms off in other stores..No wonder why the are closing stores!!!!

Good store. There should be signs at the register advising customers cannot do returns there. Wasted 20 minutes just be returned away.

Ok in this visit. To me everything was just too jumbled up and not so much to choose from. Asks with a large family, you certainly cannot afford to buy from Penny unless it is in a major sale. Plus on this particular day, everything marked in clearance es supposed to have been another 50%off and my granddaughter was with me and found several pieces of jewelry that a child would want. When we got to the car and looked at the receipt, she did not get the extra. So wonder just how much JCPenney made that one day off of different folks thinking they were getting a really big bargain.

Could have been better.Went for New Balance Sneakers,(sale) did not have merchandise in sales paper.. only men had style and color.NEW Balance.I bought another brand.. Where are the sales people.shoes and women Dept. Not one Salesperson.. not a very good experience especially being handicapped.., but not my Money.only smile when went up to be checked out.. nice and friendly check out person.. also problem with cash Register. All 3 !!!

Finding plus size clothing is hard but JCPenney has a good selection. Their sale racks for plus sizes are terrible, and they no longer carry juniors plus which stinks. Other than that I always have a good experience here.

The store has a great range, but is on the expensive side.

Great experience! Came in 1.5 hours before close and was able to find exactly what I needed and got awesome help! Octavia was a great help! She was friendly and helpful and didn’t make me feel rushed. Then during checkout I found out my coupon was expired so she went above and beyond to still help me get a great deal! She helped till the very last minute of being open and I’m especially appreciative of her awesome customer service! I don’t shop in stores much anymore but I definitely feel comfortable and confident coming to this JC Penny!

Sold my sister a gift card supposedly for Sephora, but was actually just a Sephora themed card for JC Penney. She doesnt shop here at all, and the employees are refusing to refund it. We will not return due to false advertising.

Today I was in your store between 11 am to about 12 Noon. I walked around in Ladies wear until I found a blouse I really wanted. I went to the customer service where you check out. There were two Girls behind the desk, one was watching the other how to run a register. They looked at me a couple of times and went back to there business. I waited a bit longer while other costumer came. Nothing.I have a sprained ankle and it was painful to just stand there. I finally put the blouse down that I really wanted and limped out. I was crying in the parking lot to my car and decided to close my account Account, there are other fish in the pond.A very disappointed costumer,Ingeborg Sears.Wilmington, NC.

Good customer service

The store needs slots of tlc. Clothes were everywhere . Nobody acted like they wants to clean it up. Did I find what I was looking for no store was trashed .
