Great atmosphere and amazing selection of new vinyl. Love the art and clothing from local artists. I had one request though. Make sure you have sizes for bigger people too please (we like to wear cool stuff too!) 😉 The woman working there that day was super cool and friendly. The music playing was great and I bought a vinyl record and hat. Nice destination when youre browsing downtown.

This store is the epitome of cool, original and fun. Theres no one out there who genuinely loves music more than Catherine (owner) - she lives and breathes music. I love the store and all the amazing things Modern Legend, and Catherine are doing around Wilmington. They keep the music scene alive and kicking. I can attest to that!

I had a slight issue with an order but the team was SUPER fast to respond and replace the error. I will 100% be purchasing here again and recommend to my other vinyl enthusiast friends.

Modern legend is one of my favorite stores. Period. Amazing woman. Catherine is a great owner, she is awesome to talk to, knowledgeable, funny, and kind. The music is great, the clothes are fun, stylish, and make me feel f-ing cool.

We stumbled upon Modern Legend while in Wilmington on vacation a few years back and its quickly become one of my go-to stores. They stock stuff that is infinitely cooler than I can ever hope to be (lol), but I absolutely love all their pop culture merch and great selection of vinyl.

This place has the best stuff! I live in some of the clothes I’ve gotten from there. They also have the best customer service I’ve ever seen. Catherine always makes me feel welcomed and like I’m valued as a customer. If your looking to support a local Wilmington business - I suggest this one!

This place is the best. Not only is the owner super cool and sweet, but the shop itself is such a great place to shop or just to pop by and say “hello”! Stopped through while visiting holden beach and absolutely LOVED everything in the store! The apparel by local artists/brands was definitely awesome to see and i was very impressed by a number of things; however, the prices were a bit insane... And don’t even think about buying a record here, it’s just an urban outfitters vinyl selection at 3x price.

Have shopped at Modern Legend for a few years now and even moving to another state still my favorite boutique to shop online. The selection of records is always excellent and the owner, Catherine is a gem. Added bonus she does so much for the Wilmington music scene 💛

They’re a cool looking shop with a range of local and non local artists’ work and goods. I was following their social media pages for awhile before being able to stop in but I was disappointed on my visit. The staff wasn’t rude per se but they were inattentive and more interested in chatting with each other (or maybe one of their friends) than tending to customers.A lot of the clothing items can be found online for the same price or less, bought directly from the artist/company that makes them.I would still recommend visiting just to see the local made goods but I probably wouldn’t buy from this spot.

The lady at the front desk was just absolutely amazing. She was very helpful and so informative on EVERYTHING. Hate I did not ask her name, for I was trying to sneak a gift out for my sister who was with me.

Was in there this past week. I try and go twice a year when I’m down at my brothers. Always grab a tee or two and some records. Definitely well curated the owner really gets it. Hope to shop there for many years to come.
