Really cool environment, with great specialty coffees, juices, kombucha, smoothies, and beers. They also have small snack foods like bagels and some muffins. I had a mango strawberry smoothie blend it with lemonade which was wonderful and the best London fog I probably have ever had in my life. Definitely worth checking out, even if its just for a quick to go coffee.

Dog friendly and wonderful cold brew. There nitro doesnt feel very carbonated, but its extremely tasty.

I love Lucky Joe!! I normally get a regular cold brew, but there are so many menu options for drinks that I could get something new every time I visit if I wanted. My favorite latte is the Hopeless Romantic (white chocolate + raspberry flavor) and its great whether you prefer hot or iced. Definitely recommend, especially if youre a dog person :)

Great place for coffee- they cold-brew it which means it has no bitter flavor (try it black before sweetening it!). They also have a wide selection of beer, but manage to still have that coffeeshop feel, making it a great place to study.If youre drinking on a budget, check it the $2 beer cooler and $3 pints Thursday.

I have been going to Lucky Joe for a few years now. I absolutely love the service, and have never had a bad experience. Everyone is incredibly friendly! I have had great conversations with the employees and with other people getting coffee. The coffee is, without a doubt, the best coffee I have ever had. The environment is great too. I love the music, decorations, people, and the very friendly pups that others bring in. The best coffee in the country, very friendly, dog friendly, and a great environment. Lucky Joe Coffee is always a go to for me no other place has impressed me as much, and I would highly recommend Lucky Joe to anyone!

Nice place to bring your pups, but the espresso is no good, it is flavorless. Almost no difference between water and a latte... Have you ever had a latte made with regular watered down brewed coffee instead of espresso? That would be the closest description.

They have a wide selection of delicious coffee and coffee based drinks, and their location on South College is not hard to get to. The coffee shop is large enough to accommodate a good-sized group, but small enough to still feel homey. I love that they post the work of local artists on the walls, too, and that the artist for sale. We artists need all the exposure and support that we can get!

Such a wonderful place. The staff is always friendly and constantly going above and beyond to make their customers feel welcome. I love coming here to study because it has such a comforting atmosphere. I just found this place a few months ago and it quickly became my favorite coffee shop in Wilmington! The best place to grab great coffee, study, and pet some dogs! (Also, if you havent yet, definitely try the chai - it is the best Ive had)

Honestly the BEST coffee I have ever had! I always get their cold press heated up. Im usually someone who needs lots of flavored cream to drink coffee, and this stuff barely needs anything it is so tasty. When I lived there, I got this coffee almost every day, and now I make sure to go here every time I visit. We love Lucky Joes!!

Great coffee and its the best deal in town with great bring your own mug discount AND free refills on regular coffee. Their Chai is GOOD! Great staff- only reason why its not 5 stars is because sometimes they dont use the AC or Heat so the temp varies. Most of the time its a non-issue but its annoying.

My husband and I just recently discovered this place and we love it! We are new to the area, and I’ve been searching everywhere for a really good chai tea latte. This place, by far, has the best chai teas! I get their regular one, I’ve also tried their lavender one. Both were amazing! I’ve tried lavender and other flavored chais at other places before, and I always thought there was too much flavoring. This place got it just right! They also have another tea I’ve tried, the Butterfly Pea Tea with lemonade added, and it’s amazing! My husband loves their coffee, especially their trifecta and their nitro cold brew. We love to go here and read/study. It’s a relaxing environment and normally not super crowded. They have couches and tables, along with game boards which is nice. They also showcase local artists’ work. We’ve mainly gone during the coronavirus outbreak, so there’s only been the same two people working there (maybe the owners?) and they are super friendly!Editing to add- they do sometimes have dogs in their cafe, but they always have a sign on the door when they do :)

This has the best coffee around. This is a very clean establishment. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. He really took the time to explain the type and process for their coffee. I will be back and will tell more people about this shop.

Very well-rounded coffee shop with great vibes and an equally great location close to the intersection of two major Wilmington roads. It is also the only coffee shop in that part of town that stays open late for us wanting to squeeze out a few more hours of work or homework. Their cold brew coffee, which they steam for me to make hot, has a great bright flavor. Often times there are friends of the baristas there doing work and socializing at the bar, which adds to the atmosphere.

I love this place for so many reasons! The biggest one is how dog friendly they are. I will take my dog to the park to let her run off some energy and then sit at Lucky Joes and do my homework. It is a very relaxing environment and the staff is always helpful in picking out a drink. Highly recommend!

The coffee was amazing! I got the hopeless romantic and I don’t normally do super sweet coffee so I was worried! It was great! The barista was friendly and very helpful! Their cold brew process intrigued me so I tried their regular cold brew black, it was also great.

Enjoyed my first visit. Saw comedy thats what she said. Fun girls night out with lots of laughs. Everyone there was friendly. Im not the biggest beer drinker, but the pumkin ale was delcious.

Great place for studying or catching up on work. They have a wide variety of beers and coffee options. Plus the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! They also do yoga and mimosas on some Saturdays, which I am eager to try out.

This place has great coffee. Its brewed differently than most traditional coffee shops in that all of their coffee is cold brewed ahead of time and then made how you want it on ordering. If the coffee sucked the baristas would still make this shop a must visit in Wilmington.

What a great, down to earth craft coffee and craft beer spot! All NC beers on tap, great staff and the coffee in nitro is out of this world. The coffee is small batch, cold brewed in house. Never disappointed in this place!

You can get a coffee when you do the morning school drop off and a beer when you do afternoon pickup. Very dog friendly and there is usually a pack of them in the shop.

I walked in the door and was greeted by this SUPER SNUGGLY doggo(I love dogs) and that had me hooked. The barista was very knowledgeable of the menu and guided me towards a drink that satisfies anyone need for something cool, sweet and caffeinated! Very spacious interior with plenty of places to sit and relax! Great place! Definitely stop in if you have a chance!

I was glad to find a craft coffee shop along our route home. The barista was super nice and helped me make a choice. She said everything is cold Brew, Id like to know more about what that actually means but I didnt take time to ask. I assume that means their espresso roast is slow brewed cold as well, cuz their latte seemed watered down. It tasted alright though, just not a strong espresso flavor like most lattes would have naturally.I also got the cold Brew black on ice and it wasnt impressive. It tasted like it was sitting in a copper pot all day....Or like the beans were old, but I dont want to say they were cuz I didnt ask about their roast date. Im a stickler for fresh roasted coffee and I think I have a pretty developed palate for coffee.They said they use a private roster from VA.Ill try them again some time to see if it was just an off day for the batch I got.

I rarely write bad reviews, but this was one of the worst, tasteless expressos Ive ever had.

I drink a rather unhealthy amount of caffeine. It is my sole addiction. Im not terribly picky about how i get my fix, energy drinks, coffee, 5 hr energy. So whenever I find a shop that fills my need I try it. Ive tried a lot of coffee shops. Im from Chicago and they have a good bit more than the standard Starbucks. This place puts every other coffee shop to shame Ive ever tried. Every other place from mom and pop shops, fine italian places, some very strong and good turkish shops, and all the mainstream places. Try the nitrobrew. Low acidity mild sweetness and absolutely fantastic. I get two minimum every time I go. Major shout out to the Saturday morning barista.
