I have both consigned & purchased at Ivy Cottage. If you plan to shop, allow plenty of time. Lots of gems in nooks & crannies. Consignment process is easy. Check is sent monthly for any items sold. Havent been to newest building yet but looking forward to seeing. Staff is friendly and helpful.

There is so many nice things here. I dont even know where to start! Ive found some of the nicest things in the jewelry counter, and i got some gorgeous tea cups for my collection here.I try to pop in when im in Wilmington to see new things. Its a fun little shoppe.

This is a newer store call Showplace and it has high end fine furniture in a spacious store. The other Ivy Cottage store are packed full and this one has an almost curated feel. Some amazing items here for those who know furniture and arent afraid to make an investment that is going to last decades. Also fine crystal, objects dart, and home decor.

This place is super fancy and you better take your big money. Theres nothing inexpensive here...but I do like to go and browse.

I love all of Ivy Cottage!! Can always find the perfect pieces for myself and clients. Love the upcycle/recycle aspect of purchasing existing furniture and of supporting local vendors through their consignment program.

Have something for everyone it seems...yay. If you are consigning you bring in your items,have your name, phone number and date with your pieces. Then you are called with result of their review and a list and price sheet will be either mailed to you or you may return to pick it up...no more waiting to be served; voila!

They have several buildings full of furniture, China, home decor items and more. The prices were a little high and that is why I didnt give it four stars.

We went to Ivy Cottage with a friend to browse. They have 3 buildings full of antiques, furniture, jewelry, collectables. We found a beautiful area rug, not too old, not too new, at a good price. The employees were knowledgeable and very helpful. We will visit again when we are in the area.

The older short haird lady who works there was very rude!!! She rolled her eyes and shook her head at us as we were leaving. I would never recommend this place to anyone. First and LAST time we will ever come in that store. She acted like we were a nuisance to her and we didnt feel welcomed at all by any staff, much less her! I wanted to buy a piece of furniture there but Ill take my business elsewhere. She really needs to adjust her attitude, life really isnt that bad lady! Poor thing

I have always loved this shop, i always bring friends when theyre in town visiting. It is very clear how much effort the staff put in to straightening and organizing while closed during covid 19. I find something everytime and I cant stop going back. All 4 cottages look beautiful.

So much stuff in one place, you need to give yourself lots of time to see it all. When I first walked in to Cottage 1 (they have multiple buildings) I was greeted by a friendly lady who was very helpful. The other employees I encountered were also friendly, even the guys in the warehouse. I didnt make a purchase this time but I will be back

Apparently, ALL the staff were having a REALLY BAD DAY today -- To include the OWNER of a VOLVO, who parked their car incorrectly in the HANDICAP PARKING-- Thus BLOCKING the RAMP for my handicapped passenger. Not one of them was FRIENDLY. Some were even quite RUDE to some of the other customers !! Therefore, I only purchased ONE item, because I NEEDED a special gift. Would have bought more if they had been NICER TOWARD US CUSTOMERS.

I just want to say what a huge blessing the Ivy Cottage was to my wife today. She found this tree of life in the store today and decided it was the one she had been looking for, as part of her sons memorial. The wonderful woman that works at the Ivy Cottage understood and helped her immensely. Thank you for such compassion. Highly recommend.

The prices are high and things dont seem to move very quickly. If you go often youll see a lot of the same things. Its a great place to visit on a rainy day. Four buildings to choose from although one is so jam-packed its really hard to see whats there.

Always a stop on a visit to Wilmington. Interesting items from furniture to home accessories to quality jewelry.

I took several things here to sell. They sold about half of the items I took during the contract time and were prompt and accurate as to items sold and what was being paid. BUT when I went to pick up my remaining items at the end of my contract period, I was told I would have to go through the store and find my own items. When I couldnt find three items, they provided NO help and the man that had helped me was almost to the point of being rude. So... half of the items sold and received payment for and 3 out of ten remaining items LOST and no compensation or help finding them. I would not recommend taking multiple items to sell here.

This is a great place to go picking. Almost a given that youll find something you will like for your home. The jewelry selection is very nice and if you have the opportunity, speak with Sean Kline he is quite knowledgeable.. The selection changes often and we find it enjoyable to stop quite a few times a year to just browse. There is almost something for everyone in their inventory.

To paraphrase the Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin, Baby you want it, they got it! Want to get out of the sun for a couple of hours but not do the same old stuff that you usually do? Well come wander through the cottages. There is so much cool and interesting stuff here! Everything from outdoor furniture to antique cup and saucers to jewelry. Its like a treasure hunt! Ive bought pretty pottery birdhouses, a funky rocking chair, a stand for my old wash basin and pitcher, pictures, and lots of items that have been transformed by a coat of spray paint into fabulous decorative or functional pieces. Love it!

Give yourself plenty of time to wander the three buildings that are organized very neat and orderly. The staff are very professional and they will be happy to consign items for you.

I was looking for a really nice desk and after browsing local stores and not finding anything to my liking, happened upon this unique place. Within minutes of looking around, there it was waiting for me. An exquisite desk with lighted hutch, filing drawer, keyboard hideaway and so much more. Real wood and made in America and for half the price of a desk made in China. It is being delivered tomorrow for a nominal charge. Very happy shopper. Thank you Ivy Cottage!

The Ivy Cottage is our go to place when we are looking for something a little special or different for our beach condo or our home. You can find anything from all styles of furniture to things for your walls, or tables, for the holidays, or jewelry, patio or yard etc... you name it and they probably have it! This is a great place to go on a rainy day too!

When I walked into Ivy Cottage (House #3) I was overwhelmed! Once I realized there were 2 more houses and a warehouse I went into consignment heaven.There was something for everyone there. The estate jewelry is beautiful. The furniture ranges from antiques to modern. The art work is varied. Spend some time at Ivy Cottage, it is well worth the effort.

Outstanding jewelry counter along with all the other antiques. I purchase a 1940s Wells Sterling bracelet. The price was amazing! The staff was so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable.

Nest place to get whole wood furniture, unique pieces and amazing prices. Went there with my afing mom, who was having trouble getting around. When the piece she wanted was already sold, they offered to bring pieces to Her if she wanted. Awesome staff

Really like the selection they have in the consignment section. The staff is always so helpful, my MIL and I were there late last week and we stayed a little past closing, the staff didnt even bother to shoo us out and were giving us tips on when to come back for the best deals, bless their hearts

Almost always, find what I want. Staff is usually nice or indifferent . You must not be in a hurry here, you could miss a true antique at a great price! Take your time to window shop too, but keep in mind..items move out quickly. Dont forget to check out the warehouse, they have real jewels at times too!

This place has a pretty wide selection of good used furniture. They have some jewelry as well. If you are looking for something in particular you have to to back often as the inventory turns over; but that is to be expected.

A unique shop to say the least. They have antiques and unusual pieces for sale in 4 buildings beside one another. They have large furniture pieces in a building behind the 3 that are on the road. If you are going, give yourself plenty of time because there is a lot to see.

They have a lot of pretty things, but are extremely overpriced. I found a couple items that i actually own, several of which are from Target and bought less than a year ago, and their price for these used items was more that what I paid for them new!!!! Antiques I can understand.... used items from target and other national retailers- that’s insane.

I visited this place a year ago before my health failed. I placed a item on layaway only to be placed back into medical care. Someone called to tell me they will hold item...later with memory loss things went a bit haywire...someone called me to say we will continue to hold your item upon your release from medical facilities.However, after releasing from medical facilities I was told my item was forfeit due to lack of communication. My oh my I was devastated, hurt, although their staff member continued to keep me abreast of my item during my medical stay that all was well, then to walk in store #2 only to have rug pulled from under my feet. Totally unexpectedly as well as devastated from the loss of my item.I will never ever go back to that place.I contacted someone in store #1 who strongly insisted they would work issue our but management would resolved...no way

Today I went to consign a few items for the first time. I have a some Biblical figurines and a few others. However, I was denied consigning my figurines. Will never shop The Ivy Cottage! Will never recommend or refer anyone! Believers of the Bible will never find anything related to a scripture theme. Very disappointed - and offended!

From gems to ancient tablets, this place has the past all in tact. Not to mention the past that are not so well preserved in the warehouse, just incase you are feeling a little thrifty. Ivy Cottage is certainly a go to place that even has botany needs and interior decoratives that will impress even the most modern person. The Ivy Cottage sure suits its name for its poison will not cause you a rash on the arm, but a rash on your decision!

What is this place. Looks like they built it in the 30’s. Everything there looks like it belongs to people 70 and older. I went with my parents to see what it was and all of us thought it was terrible. Half of the furniture looked destroyed and tarneshed. Wouldn’t recommend coming to this dump unless you have a bad taste in furniture.

This is one of those places that used to have great pricing on estate pieces and antique/eclectic furniture but success has unfortunately made the sales staff quite snide and the actual quality pieces difficult to locate.Ive outfitted 2 homes from there in the last decade and just picked up another room worth of furnishings yesterday.Would have stayed and attempted to piece together another couple of rooms but every question was met with what I can only describe as almost derision from the two sales staff who deigned to even speak to me.As in, they couldnt be bothered from their standing behind the counter to answer a question about whether there were any matching pieces in another building.They separate the quality pieces it seems now between their buildings to be able to mark the prices up and sell individually.From a business standpoint I can understand, respect and pay the higher prices for a quality set.Wandering from building to building trying to locate the matching set pieces for the buffet I wanted became tiresome quickly when coupled with the complete apathy of their staff.
