Called in advance to make sure they had the hair I needed. Sent my mother to pick up the hair itself. She overhears a conversation amongst the associates that the grandmother is coming in to which they conspired to change the price then informs her when she gets to the counter they only have 4 packs left in the entire store all of which are not in the color I called for. She gets the hair to me and its 12 instead of 14. As well as hippie braid ends as opposed to the goddess 14 braided curly ends. They could have just said they didnt have what I was looking for but chose an unprofessional dishonest route to make a sale. Will not shop there again.

Today my mother and I were shopping for beauty supplies. While checking out the selections at multiple local beauty stores we stopped by Beauty Max. Upon entering we were greeted by a young man. He was polite and helpful. Later an older lady approached and watched us from a far and once she came closer, we said hello. She barely spoke and didnt have a pleasant demeanor. I believe she was the owner. As consumers,  we had a question and her body language and response reflected that we were intruding on her personal space and time for asking a question about a product. She eventually went to the front and the young man was left to assisting us. I told him, if he was the owner I would have made a purchase. Upon exiting the store my mother said bye to the lady and she just gave a blank stare. Given that Wilmington North Carolina has multiple options for beauty supply stores, we decided to take our purchase power else where.We went to Beauty Express (College Road). I have shopped there multiple times before and always return due to the excellent selection, reasonable prices, but most importantly the owners professional and friendly personality. Kindness and respect goes along way!Interesting enough, I crossed paths with a local hair stylis and shared my encounter. Unfortunately,  she shared a similar story about the same lady at Beauty Max being rude. Remember you dont have to continue to support businesses that dont appreciated your money and ultimately you!
